How long does it take it to grow them like trees? That’s really cool.

Still not clear as to where exactly we should cut on the branch? Near a leaf? Above a bump? Above a "branch"? and what exactly does a branch on a branch look like?...a bump or leaf? lol Seriously, I don't know. New home owner and I'm clueless and confused. Help! lol My goal is to make it as full as possible as a hedge/divider to hide our neighbor's mishmash wild garden. lol thanks!

1/4 inch above the leaf - at the length you want.

Hello. I really need some help with my yellow hibiscus 😢. I pruned it back this spring and maybe i didn't cut the branches correctly. How can I fed a picture of the plant? Is it possible that you can tell me if I need to cut the branches back even more. They don't seem to be growing back 😢. I do see some baby leaves growing at the bottom of the main branch. Please help😢.
    Thank you.

      Hello Saryma,
Will you be planting your tree in ground or in a pot? Charles

Thank you so much for your business Saryma! The two products I would recommend that you can find at Home Depot or Lowes are the following Kellogg Garden Soils:
      First Choice: kellogggarden.com/products/kellogg/soils/index.php?s=gromulch
      Second Choice: kellogggarden.com/products/kellogg/soils/?s=amend
When you did the hole, mix 1/2 of the purchased soil with 1/2 of your native soil. Add some organic fertilizer to the base of the hole, such as an Espoma product such as:
      www.homedepot.com/p/Espoma-8-lb-Plant-Tone-All-Purpose-Plant-Food-100047163/202258532
There are other organic choices with higher phosphorus content to encourage more flowers that you should be using in early spring. Here is another recommendation:
      www.homedepot.com/p/DR-EARTH-4-lb-Flower-Girl-Bud-and-Bloom-Booster-Dry-Fertilizer-707P/205827664
Remember to only fertilizer in Fall, Spring and Summer with these granular suggestions. A liquid fertilizer would have to be applied more frequently. No fertilizing in the winter as the plant goes into dormancy.
      I hope this helps! :)
Feel free to contact me with any other questions!
      Charles :)

Hello,,, I desperately need advice for my hibiscus tree......I have been noticing yellowing of the leaves then noticed today that at the bottom of the trunk it rotting out, but only one limb , and white fungus or mold !!!! What steps do I need to do to help my tree survive........😔 and Thanks

    • @IVOrganic
      @IVOrganic  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello That_Guy89 x,
First step is to make sure your plant was not installed too deep--which is a common mistake. Check the soil around the trunk and make sure the roots start at no more than 1/4 inch, or so, below the soil level. Too much soil over the root ball can choke your plant's root ability to exchange gases. Second, make sure the soil is nearly dry between watering. Many people run automatic sprinklers without watching to see how the soil responds and to make necessary adjustments with more water in the summer months and less water in the winter months. Third, I would recommend our product, IV Organic 3-in-1 Tree Guard Paint which is infused with oils that protect the trunk from wood boring insects, sunburn, sunscald, rodents--and rot! You can find the product for sale on Amazon, Arbico Organics, HomeDepot.com, etc. An immediate and shorter term fix, after the above 2 steps are in check, is to spray some neem oil on the effected areas. That too will help alleviate the damage. Please keep me posted on your results! :)
      Charles
