Stumbled across this gem. I was fortunate enough to be a trainee and a Drill Sergeant in D 5-15 CAV at Ft. Knox. I was even assigned to the same platoon as a Drill Sergeant as i was as a trainee. I gave extra hell to the unfortunate soul who was assigned to my old bunk. Of course this was all 25 years ago.
Delta Troop Sept. 2010 back when it was at Knox. Beautifully shot and edited video! Congrats Baby Scouts, go forth and make the rest of us old broken scouts proud!
God Bless your brave Curtis! CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY!! My 19 yr. old baby boy arrived at Fort Benning Sept.4, 2019. I am dying to hear how he is!!! We are SOOOO PROUD OF HIM!!
Definitely a lot different than when I graduated from A Trp 5/15 back at Fort Knox. Nice graduation. I’ll never forget mine. I’ll never forget osut, I’ll Never forget my duty stations and deployments. I’ll forever miss it.
My son graduated G-Troop 5-15 the following month in June. Was a very nice ceremony. Very professional and well put together. Very proud of our boys and girls. Scouts Out!
Jesus. One hell of a ceremony. Ours consisted of us standing in formation while one of the drill sgts. recited the soldiers creed. That was it. B Trp 5/15 (2004)
@@nl7432 if it’s Jose Ruiz, him and I were stationed at Knox together for a little while as well. We always called him Paco lol. Can’t do that in today’s army.
Amazing how much has changed. I was in D Troop 5-15 at Ft. Knox (Dogs of War) back in 2004. They beat the hell out of us and sculpted us for war (which most of us were going after graduation). Great time in my life but, I can’t say I’d do it again. Scouts Out!
I was in 2005 Fort Knox Alpha Troop Drill Sergeant Young and drill sergeant Curry and Senior drill sergeant Spangler I can't believe that they had the Cav and the Infantry together now. Is the Army not realize how much shit we talk?

no, theyre in different areas. both go through osut. scout troops are much smaller as well. infantry, and scouts go through one station unit training. not conventional basic training and advanced individual training, tho its pretty similar as u have a red white and blue phase which is basically basic, and then black and gold phase which is basically ait
DS Lee, Cushman and Rad have been there for a while. DS Lee still looking like a robot hasn’t missed a beat. No senior DS Jones though that’s a shame he had one funky cadence.
Michael Charters I can see why you might say that. But as this video was of and for my son, I asked if there was a song that he would like, and that’s what he chose. So...
Deployed as scout, then infantry. I’ve been on both sides of the fence. Currently a cav scout instructor and I can tell you from experience, and knuckle dragger can be infantry, to be a scout that’s mastered his craft you have to be very intelligent. Way higher skill set with less assets in small teams. This is an elite MOS.
