My dad drives a ford and he backs up as accurate as possible if he’s off he picks up the front of the trailer a little off the ground and puts it over the hitch💀💀💀

As a guy with an older ford, I'll back up to within a foot or so, then check, and back up with some slight adjustments and maybe make one more check. I think it's pretty smooth since I don't pull trailers very often and I dont have a backup camera 😅
you should be able to just know . but if you dont tow often I guess I can understand why you would get out and check...for me that would make no sense, I back up and know just about where I need to be then when I hear some slight content that is when I get out and look. at that point I may need to ease forward just a hair but usually it is dead on.

I’ve only seen rams and fords drag on the ground because the rams use the coil springs and Ford is just weak they have BS weak shocks in the rear of their truck and good luck towing with the alumiduty they are all over the place when hooked to a trailer.
I owned a ford, a Chevy, and a dodge in a 5 year period. Two of them broke down so I kept the third. I’m over 300lbs. Guess what the reliable truck was.
