I remember eating in places that looked similar to this one when I was a little girl. The same country chairs, wood paneling on the walls, olive green, yellow or orange countertop color, and all just snug and warm aesthetic and feel to them. I really like the dated of this place and the looks of their food. 😍😍
This is places is really nice and he's right about the nostalgia factor... I hope he comes back to try the other dishes. Feels like you're in somebody's home for a visit.
I ate at a similar place in Atsugi many years ago. The food was great, as were the owners, ..but what stood out was the hand made (what used to be known as Soda Jerk) lime soda...it was so good. I'd go back just for that....Japan is awesome.

i love when you post video like this. the video when you eat and review the taste of the food. in some of your video's, you post so many dish that other customer order and barely review on what you eat. for me it so distracting, i dont even remember what are those food name because sometimes it's just too much, so confusing. videos when you actually eat n review the taste is so relaxing. we can imagine how it taste from how you describe it 😊

Also just so you know, most western noodles, at least that I've eaten, are way softer than typical soba udon or ramen noodles, as they aren't specifically made to soak up broth
I could confidently saying that most Western Chef did not think of the speed on eating from their customers. For example, a hot steaming freshly cooked noodle is too hot to eat, so we have to wait it cool down which the noodle will absorb the soup and often become very mushy. The idea of Italian pasta Al Dente serve the similar idea which you will have the perfect texture when customer need to wait it to cool down. Moreover, the way on how they make Soba and Udon make a huge difference as well. If there is any chance, you must try the freshly made Udon or Soba, the 'bouncing' texture is obvious and most of the will be as smooth as it can be! There is an alternative though, there are two type of frozen Udon you could find in your large enough Japanese supermarket. Inaniwa Udon and Sanuki Udon :D
約50年前のオープン時から通い、子、孫と3代に渡っての行きつけのお店です。現在まで約50年前から味、お店の雰囲気が大好きで、とても美味しく居心地がよく、私にとって最高のお店です。もちろんこれからもずーっと通い続けます。
「こういうのでいいんだよ」と呼んでしまってはお店さんに失礼かもしれませんが、気持ちがほっとする料理を出してくれてる素敵なお店さんですね！

常連さんと気軽に絡めるのがこの辺りの良いところだと思います。

うどんそばさんが紹介してくれるお店って、どのお店も外観はともかく中がキレイで清潔感があるのが好印象です。
外観は経年劣化でどうしようもないところがありますが、中はキチンと掃除されてるのが分かって、それだけで一度行きたくなります。
もうすぐこういう昭和のお店は無くなっちゃうんだ
食べたいとまた行きたいと思った時にはもう無いんだわ
昭和のお店感がただでさえたまらないのに、出てくる料理も、その主さんの食レポも、本当に魅力を引き出していて、見ている者への食欲をそそります。
令和の今、こういう昭和のゆったりさが懐かしくなります。といっても、昭和の時は昭和の時で、生きてる自分達は、仕事に追われて駆け込み状態でしたけどね。
て、昭和生まれだけど、小学生のうちに平成になったんだよな、俺は(笑)

常連さんも馴染みの店のメニューの紹介なら撮ってもと、優しい豊かな時間をお店と過ごされてきたのが伝わってきます。
