    ATTENTION: The intro can be loud at places so please be aware.....Inspired by the Sardaukar and the movie Dune 2021 I release yet another video, A dark ambient journey with six different songs mixed together to create a seamless, epic-like & cinematic story of high quality. My first attempt at throat singing, and damn, I'm pleased :) Even though it's dark, it's kinda relaxing, so you will have an easy time listening to this for sure.....IMPORTANT: TH-cam will push my content more when you LIKE 👍, COMMENT ✏️ and SUBSCRIBE 🔔. Please help me with that, thanks :) NOTE: If you want to support my work, please feel free to leave a very much appreciated donation: ko-fi.com/spacewavecosmicrelaxation. Have a great day :)

      Dude! You are the best! I checked this out thinking "ah it's gonna be some sci-fi sounding ambient, whatever" boy was I wrong! How is this your first attempt at throat singing? Congrats on being one of the best at what you do. If I may ask, did you use a picture as a starting point for the visuals or did you draw it in PS? Edit: just want to commend you once more on doing such a great job. I think I've listened to the Giedi Prime video like 3 times already, it helped me so much with focus while doing 3d design!

      @@fix923 Not this kind of throatsinging, it scandinavian throat singing is more akin to bass chanting. Also its historicity is very debatable, there is a high probability it only stems from neopagan movements of the twentieth century who inspired themselves from the mongols because their aesthetic was centered around an idea of getting back to ancestral brutal roots.
      Other types of throat singing include turkic throat singing which is less deep and more cutting, mostly practiced in the steppes near Mongolia in the Altaï region. There is also Inuit throat singing which is more guttural but sounds more like a whistle and tibetan throat singing which is deeper than Mongolian one and only used for rythmic chanting, not regular singing.
      I never heard anything about finno-ugrian throat singing but it may be a possibility since they are also a siberian people.

    • @azarshadakumuktir4551
      @azarshadakumuktir4551 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@LordBackuro We do not of course have any recordings of hunnic throat singing (Attila's intro doesn't count XD), and I am not aware of any historical source mentionning it. Remember that roman or persian historians didn't know what throat-singing was for the most part.
      Some late roman historians were former soldiers though, they could have given some hints (Jordanes for example).
      Since the eastern Xiong-Nu as well as the Hephtalites and the European Huns were deeply tied to the ancestry of modern turkic and mongolic peoples there is nevertheless a high possibility of them practicing throat-singing.
      The same is true for many other related steppe confederations.
      I think chinese sources directly reference that the "northern barbarians" were singing in a particular way in very early accounts, so that nearly confirms that people like the Xiong-Nu (the main hunnic confederation) were throat-singers.

    It really is crazy how we all saw this coming... that Dune would be a hallmark of epics to come... and yet I did not expect what I saw....I've now seen it 5-6 times and can definitively say its my favorite adaptation of Frank Herbert's book. The short but immensely moving scene on Salusa Secundus featuring Pieter and the Sardaukar Battalions raised to hoodwink the Atreides actually keeps playing over and over in my head, the droning throat-singing just absolutely rocking my shit daily basically. Dreams are messages from the deep. This video and the others you made as well as how many people are now talking about Dune decades after any significant mention of it are a testament to how powerful Dune really is, I guess.

      Per Herbert's book, the Sardaukar were to be disguised as Harkonnen troops in the attack on the Atreides on Dune. In the 2021 version, they aren't disguised at all and attack in their Sardaukar battle gear. It defeated the purpose of the Emperor hiding his involvement in the overthrow of the Atreides -- something that he wished to hide from the Landsraad.

    • @f1r3hydr4nt
      @f1r3hydr4nt ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you make a good point. However, the key thing here is that in this film, Villeneuve rationalizes why the Sardaukar would be just dressed like they are because they are killing anyone who sees them. IDK they could have gone into how the Sardaukar were disguised but don't you think that would have defeated the purpose of them in the film-- at least in terms of recognizability? IDK again just wondering@@tomm7505

      @@spacewavecr Have you planned anything out for more of the Dune universe planets, or cultures? Kaitain just popped into my head...the Imperial capitol, on a world of perfect and rigorously tended and guided climate, the seat of the Imperial government and home of the Emperor of the Known Universe, Shaddam IV...

    You finally nabbed the growly vocals akin to the Sardaukar "prayer" in Dune. Well done. My favourite video is the Giedi Prime cityscape - I keep gazing at it and expect to watch a sunrise start ! Wonderful stuff ! Thanks.

    Wooahhh Salusa Secundus! Insufferable harsh world. 🌩 Once the Throne seat of Royal House Corrino. Part Maximum Security Prison Planet; Inescapable Hellhole! Part Military Base Planet for the dreaded Sardaukar.💀.

    Okay, your music is phenomenal as always. But, the visuals are spectacular as well (not that they weren't before). I can tell how much time and effort you put into it and I really appreciate that. The more I look at it, the more I discover and get lost in the little details. And, with the music, the whole experience is incredibly immersive.
