Yeah, there's this calmness, stillness about the night -- TOTALLY DEVOID of the proverbial "hustle and bustle" of the day. There's FAR MORE introspection that occurs during the dark, night hours -- as if though it's calling you out to do so. 😉
For me it feels more natural than the noises/sounds of the waking world. These types of atmospheric sounds puts me into a state of calm/state of origin of being.

Darkness, the void, non-existence, peace. (I am okay and intend to live for many more years, I just hope after that ther is a definitive end and I will soon be forgotten. It gives me peace. Don't worry about me I am fine, I just find solace in different things than most and I am generally happy)
