    I bought an old cub ,I believe a 127. I'm not 100% positive, but I've been watching your vids and felt I could restore mine. I tore it all apart and have been slowly stripping old paint and repriming, and painting. only working a couple hours each morning before I go to work so yeah its going VERY slowly. but I've got about half of it painted and boy am I happy with it. I've had two offers from people to buy it and it isn't back together yet.

    She's a beauty 👑 pal. Well done. There's alot of work goes into doing these, but some of us gotta save some of them.

      Thanks! I love these old tractors. You should get one too while you can still find them.

    Excellent job!! I just got my decals on yesterday. I should have mine done soon. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with mine either. Once again, great job........

    You did an amazing job only one problem the seat is not the original

    • @The5upermann1
      @The5upermann1  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yup... The seat is not original. The original seats are hard to find and are usually cracked and in poor condition. This new seat looks nice and is a pretty close match to the original.

    Wonderful job! Hopefully you still remember, but where did you have those slide on decals made?

      Thanks! I don't remember anymore, but I am pretty sure I talked about where I bought them from in one of the restoration videos.

    Knowingly, this is 6 yrs ago, but do you still have the sandblaster booth? If yes, can you tell me how your sand pickup tube is done?
    It looks like you took the bolt-on feed tip outta of the bottom of the booth and just put it in the sand, rather than screwing it in the bottom first, and then attaching the hose. So, what are you doing exactly to feed the sand into the gun?
    I have the exact same booth and always found that the sand flow surges when the feed tip is bolted into the bottom. It’s like the difference between the uptake and the gravity flow of the sand down to tip is inadequate.
    In other words, the booth design is not the best, and the feed tip with only 6 or 8 tiny holes in it just doesn’t allow the proper flow rate to the gun.
    The manual says 80psi and online sources say 80-100psi. Those and even lower psi settings don’t really affect the flow of sand if the feed tip is always the problem.
    Not ranting, just looking for another/better way to use the feed tip, like you have….
    Thank You

    How does the hood go on? Everytime I open my hood it scrapes the paint off the grill

    Great looking tractor. How long did you wait between the coats of actual paint not primer.

    • @The5upermann1
      @The5upermann1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I did two coats of paint within about an hour between them. Then the next day I wet sanded out some dust, and I gave it one more coat of paint. The hood came out almost perfect.

      No. But thank you. I posted the videos to inspire someone to restore an old tractor.

    Where do you get the grommet that goes around the steering column and dash?

    Also, where did you get your stickers? I have the exact same tractor! What does the windex help with?

    • @The5upermann1
      @The5upermann1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The windex helps with placing the stickers until they are just right.. They won't stick until the windex drys. I thought it is a cool trick..

    Whats that chainsaw in the background?

    • @The5upermann1
      @The5upermann1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is an antique McCulloch chainsaw.. I think it is from the 1950's.. It is one of their first. It runs great but it's almost too heavy to use! Haha..

      Oh cool! I have an 1960s Remington Bantam, (which despite large size) I still use for woodcutting :)
