    I have been investigating these UST projectors and had resigned myself to buy the Hisense px3 pro but then I discovered a fly in the ointment that reviewers don't seem to speak about. The lifespan of an approx 100" OLED TV is about 100,000 Hours. With an UST projector For about the same amount of money or more if you want to buy a good screen, you get about 20,000-30,000 Hours. That means that in the same space of time I will have to buy 3 UST projectors. Am I missing something?

      @@Joaaaaaaaaaaayou’re correct that is an ALR ( ust ) screen . There are also ALR ( long throw projector ) screens . The valerion on a long throw ALR should be comparable to the Hisense models you mentioned. I am hoping anyway since I ordered the valerion max and currently looking to upgrade my screen to a quality long throw projector ALR .

    Why there's always so much talk about brightness? Brightness is almost meaningless IMO, a projector is to watch in the dark mainly, and you don't need that much of it for that. What's very important is contrast and HDR, OLED and miniLED TV's have the ability to show the brightest lights while maintaining blacks at the same time, the projector can't.
    I've been using a projector since 2017 and I love it for watching movies, but last year I got a 43" Samsung miniLED TV for PC use and the difference in quality is night and day, the biggest advantage of projectors is size, shame big TV's are so expensive.

    only using youtube videos to compare the two screens is criminal. You should use real sources like a ps5 and a blu ray player. TH-cam videos have horrible quality.

  • @RedLeo-pf9yo
    @RedLeo-pf9yo 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    All the big time TH-camrs, that analyze electronics say that projectors days are numbered. The picture quality on TVs is going through the roof. It has become almost 3-D like. And the goal for TVs is to get to 3-D without glasses. Projectors are just great memories you had with your family back in the day. Or if you’re broke right now, and don’t care about picture quality,then you can have a big screen in your house for dirt cheap. But once you seen great picture quality, you won’t settle for less.

      I agree & disagree. I have zero interest in picking up or having a tv that weighs 150-250 lbs, nor do I want to deal with paying people to come into my home and move it anytime I need it moved. I'm only 30 but I still remember how much of a pain it was to move CRTs that weighed more than 60-80 lbs. I also like how it doesn't give me as much eye strain as a normal television and I'm not a fan of the glare that many tvs still have today. I've still not seen any huge tvs in my market that provide 3D at an affordable price. I see 100 inch screens have now gotten into the affordable range for everyday consumers ($1700-2500) which is great! I could maybe see one of those in my living room because of my room layout and the amount of window light, but in my bonus room a projector works better as I have way more light control and the projector screen I have (120 inches) allows for saving room as I have no wall up there that could fit a large tv. There's definitely a market for both!
