- 17 PC's for the day, I didn't expect so many but I did see other scrappers with PC's in their trucks so if I got there earlier it may of been even better.
Let's hope the next trash picking adventure brings a similar load.

Does anyone else that does not live in Australia want fly there and go street scrapping? I can’t believe all the good stuff people throw away.

I went out today and found bars and bars of heavy melt steel, and wrapped it up with a dumpster with 15 ceiling fans from a warehouse!

The pile that you came across @ 53:29 that you thought you missed out on some good stuff, sorry to say you did. I cleaned out a pile of switches and various other IT stuff from that pile about lunchtime. The switches you picked up must have been put out later so who knows what they put out in between.
ifyareckon I soon as I saw the server rails I was thinking the same thing. BTW server rails and drive trays sell very well on ebay since they often get tossed when server are decommissioned and are thus harder to find.
eWaste Ben, you should bring a small bin when you go street scrapping so you don't have to worry about a mess of wires tangled up with the rest of the scrap and it will save you a little bit of time when unloading your van :) keep up the good work!

What a haul today! All your christmases at once, as they say!
I found a IBM keyboard in a apartment I cleaned out. It was a clicky keyboard that split into two halves to make it more comfortable to type on. I threw it in the trash. Later I just got to thinking about it and ebay so I git in back out of the trash and listed it hoping to get 20 bucks. That keyboard sold for 250 bucks.

On the news I saw some guy going into the underground system of electrical of the city , going into man holes, acting like city maintenance, but these people are stealing street wires for copper !

Love the street scrapping videos. I'm one of the guilty people who mention about nerf blasters lol, the problem is they take up a lot of room, but are definitely worth money, catch 22. But if you do decide to pick them up, stick with branded Nerf blasters, all of them will have year of manufacture/release on the shell, anything older than 2005 is generally vintage and some can be very valuable.
You should have had a running tally of how many pc you picked up like a cheesey game show. Food for thought

fishing rods sell good on gumtree especially the realy old ones that are solid fiberglass old jarvis walker solid glass rods start at about $40

@@eWasteBen they dont and these new graphite rods can be lethal in a lightning storm my dad lost a mate who was struck while fishing with a graphite lightning rod

@@toomaskotkas4467 I mean the p4 systems are almost worthless, maybe 10 or 15 dollars so it makes sense to scrap those but sooner or later some of the older Pentium iis and mmxs would be worth something

We, the occasional Ebay sellers, don't have warehouses where to keep all that stuff and wait for years when somebody like you decides to buy it. Also, $10-15 is not something I would care to deal with, considering my time to photo, investigate the details and create a posting, and then properly package and ship. I am here to make a profit and my labour rate starts at minimum at $20 per hour. Would you buy a keyboard that costs just to handle $30 and then another $50 minimum because it's vintage and then another $10-15 that Ebay gets from me in seller and shipping fees? Yeah, I didn't think so. Try to sell something yourself, then you will be qualified to talk about what should be sold and for how much.

Man you are lucky to find all these nice PC goodies. But please anything that looks remotely like scientific or test equipment don't scrap see if it has resale value first ! I am still crying over the nice Tektronix scopes you had once.

I wish I could do this in America but people bin up all their waste and you can't go riffling through other people's garbage. It's illegal here. Something along the lines of it's the person's property until the garbage company picks it up, then it's the garbage company's property.
