Great series I learn a lot with your help I redid the Body Valve on my 42RLE which was still in the Dodge Ram 1500 truck. I can't wait for the next Video. I also have a chevy transmission to get into so I will be back to watch many more.

Thanks very much for the well-done, informative video series on the transmission rebuild! I've always wanted to see how this is done! Appreciate the time and effort you put into this excellent series.

Books cannot explain it that good. I like the way he broke it down into easy to understand sections, bravo great job and thanks you were more than helpful

This was a great series. He didn't just show how to take it apart and put it together, he explained how things worked along the way, which I think is particularly important for something so complex. People can take something away from this even if they never rebuild a transmission. It's the kind of insightful content that I subscribed to realfixesrealfast for to begin with.

Dear Sirs, the impeccable & tact surgery for this transmission is indeed as I believe way complex than making a heart surgery. Of course Knowledge & Experience plays its role here, and frankly speaking I believe most DIYers wont be able to perform such mission in such a professional way. Thank you Mr Duane and Mr. Dr. Transmission Surgeon (I probable did not hear the Gentleman's name). I love your videos.

Thank you for the entire valve body video set.
Sometimes it’s nice to just be able to say, “so it’s supposed to look like this?” or “this goes here, right?”
I really appreciate you doing this repair so I don’t feel so alone in mine.

Great job Cory and Cameraman, thanks to the whole team who put this series together. It's hard working on camera and filming a task such as this. You all did an excellent job. I'm now a subscriber (thanks to RobinsonAuto) look forward to watching many more.

Thank you. This clarified a tremendous amount through the whole transmission process.
I recently replaced the solenoid for my 42RLE 1 port Wrangler.
Installed everything and placed the Shifting bracket but came to a halt as the shifter was not moving about correctly. Seeing you test the positions literally lit a light and make complete sense.
Going to troubleshoot this in the morning and hope for the best.
Thank you guys for putting this information out. Hoping for the best

@@realfixesrealfast for sure! I have a question. In the video at 10:23 when your going through the gears with the pliers
      I have a 42RLE 1 port from a Wrangler 03. PRND21 (7 slots)
I have mine installed into the transmission - however I am getting resistance when I go from Manual Low to parking. I reach what sounds like a wall or obstacle when I get into Reverse.
I installed the valve body in Manual low, and went to place into Park to install the shifting column bracket but no luck.
      Any thoughts?
      Thank you again
I can upload a video or send pictures if you do not mind soaring sometime out of your day🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This is a great series of videos. Cory is an excellent presenter as well as technician and has a real knack for "as you go" explanations - just right amount of detail. One thing I did notice was the use of the term "Bellevue" for the coned washer springs. In my experience these are called "Belleville" springs and there is a Wikipedia entry under that name which seems to bear that out. More videos at this level of detail would be great. Thanks.

I was wondering what your transmission guy thought would be a good first automatic transmission to rebuild? Maybe all automatic transmissions have their own challenges, but its possible some transmissions could be a little easier than others. This is a great series of videos. Now I understand why most auto mechanics don't even attempt to work on them, most just go and get a used one or a rebuilt one and install it.

Does the manual shift lever need to be moved to park prior to tightening the 10 mil bolts to the valve body? I have everything in place and I'm trying to move the lever to no avail.

I'm very curious but right at the 4:58 mark what is that round circular thing sticking up. I changed my solenoid pack and when cleaning up I found something that looks very similar so I'm now I'm real curious to know if it needs to go back in place.

Does the tab that the parking pawl has to latch onto have a bend to match the other side of the bracket? Mine does so when I get my valve body in on low gear it wont slide into the clutch bracket

How do you install the valve body from underneath the truck when actuators are falling?

    • @XenoEXTornado
      @XenoEXTornado 6 ปีที่แล้ว

sofia o you install the transmission valve body enough to leave a gap for the actuators.

I took a hack saw blade ground teeth off and smooth, and put it across the pistons & springs and it was perfect length to use a transmission pan bolt on each side, then slid valve body up then loosened pan bolts slid blade out and finished Torque on valve body. I have picture but can't figure out how to put it on here.

I didn't have that much trouble putting it in underneath my Dodge Dakota all you do is make sure your liver is all the way over to your passenger side when you hear it click then you can start taking it a loose and taking it down it should drop just like a baby a newborn
