I usually agree with you 100%, Laura. But I didn't agree entirely with the first part. Many of us still do much of the housework, especially if we're stay at home wives. The important thing is to let go of the resentment and expectations. I don't think you mean to imply that the Skills will lead ALL marriages to having the husband do 90% of housework, but I just wanted to mention this in case some female listener gets the wrong idea and sets up her own false expectations.

@@Amandahugginkizz I mean that’s amazing for you, but you clearly married a unicorn 😂 because I don’t think that’s realistic for others of us stay at home moms lol

I think the underlining advice is to let them help you. My husband is so willing to help me; but I wasn’t letting him for so many years. Now he does and I am a stay at home mom and definitely keep the home life going; but he jumps in now because I’ve made the room for him to be able to. He is so happy to help me. 💙💙💙

It seems like thaw housework really is a controversial topic no matter how it's discussed. People just can't let go of some expectations

I have been 100% in agreement with your program! I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR ADVICE OF NOT DOING HOUSEWORK ! COOKING, CLEANING, MAINTAIN THE STATUS OF MY HUSBAND BY MAKING SURE HE CAN PUT HIS BEST FOOT FORWARD TO SUPPORT, PROVIDE AND PROTECT ME AND THE CHILDREN! I am shocked to tell you the truth.
I promote your program. One of my daughter's paid the $16000 to be a coach. I have been practicing your principles for 1 year and have had wonderful results!
I am all in except what you just said! A traditional wife has certain roles. It is my honor to cover my husband any way I can. I am cherished, loved, respected and feel blessed to be a traditional wife.
    You shocked me😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Thanks for the feedback! And for your support and grace. I hear you and I love your dedication and commitment and joy of being a traditional wife who does most of the housework. That sounds great for you.
I hope I didn't give advice on this podcast to NOT do housework. I hope I shared my own experience, and how things go at my house.
I hear you that I left the impression that being a wife who does housework is bad and that was not my intention! There are so many great ways for a couple to work out housework and childrearing. I made myself a martyr with housework previously and now I'm grateful I get to spend most of my energy ending world divorce and playing volleyball. This works for me and my very generous husband. It sounds like you have a great system at your house too. Thanks for the opportunity to clarify.

    Ummm…what??
I am like others commenting here, Laura. I’m a husband who does 90% of the cooking after working all day myself. I do at least 50% of ALL the other housework, and there are days I’m pretty resentful that my wife doesn’t help me cook dinner after I’ve worked all day. I can assure you, if my wife took the attitude that YOU have towards housework, we’d most likely be divorced. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Doing almost all household chores is easier for men than tolerating resentful and always unhappy wife.
If you are lazy woman you can easily force man to doing everything.
But for me it's deal breaker.
I'm happy with working eleven hours and doing chores.
But not for lazy bastard dreaming of being princess.
I'm happier with burning money or giving it to strangers just for fun than providing for person with this kind of parasitic mentality.
I've been observing dozens of mothers taking care of the child, while husband was not present. Usually they are signaling resentment with anger to the child because of how they are burdened because of kid.
That's the source of why people feel that they do not deserve anything. After years of being shown how they burdened mommy of course they are thinking that way.
