    The part where you're a little confused by the hdmi cable not going in made me laugh a little. That was literally the reason they sent in the card.

      I think it's just that he anticipated the possibility that bending the connector had broken circuits, which isn't unreasonable since that applies to so many of his repairs. All the same he worked through it.

    this is a brilliant example how NOT listening to the customer is sometimes a good thing. If you went by there word you would of replaced the connector and it still wouldnt have worked. They would never of guessed about the blown fuses. Also he could of took this to other places who possibly woudl just change it charged him and said well i did what you asked even though it didnt work when returned. well done sir

    don't you need to check if you can fit a displaycable into those displayports? since the bend ports were the reason it was sent in?

      this fix involved major issue , minor issue
      major issue the gpu is working
      minor issue the display ports
      I never dealt with displayports so I don't know, there seem to be great uses for them, I heard they have a hub & you can display 3 monitors on a single line/port

    • @GregM
      @GregM 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I wonder how much time you would save by having a simple app where you scan a QR code stuck to the donor board and it tells you how many of each component you have on that board, if you use something you just click to minus 1. But I guess it would either take time to count at the start or require the schematics for the donor boards to know what is on it.

    When fuses are at work they are always in emergency mode and always very delicate and simple vibration breaks the thin wire inside them that’s probably why they failed when there was nothing shorting it makes sense to me they failed when current is going through them and the bang on the ground broke the connection in them.
