Brian....I'm 67 years old and been fishing all my life. Your videos are a welcomed and realistic change to all the noise out there. Simple, well made and fun to watch. Thanks!!!
Brother, I just love the wisdom. Droppin’ knowledge. “Why #30, because #50 is to big and #20 is to small” and “make the easy casts first”. Don’t get too overextended from the start, then get hung up. Always good to hear the simple wisdoms again. Like my pops used to drop, and I’m sure yours did too. Keep’em coming. Thank you, brother!
Same! All fish seem to be different. And as someone new to fishing, I love this information! I still don't understand sounds with fish yet. I always thought making noise would just scare them off and people are using stuff to make extra sound. So much to learn and understand why!
When he said "30lb test" I jumped up and said AMEN. I don't use anything else unless I stick on an 8lb leader for trout. 30lb braid is the magic spot for line visibility and strength. You can horse your baits out of the weeds when necessary too
Try the zoom z craw jr in Birthday Cake and trim the buzz bait arm about 1/2” to increase gap between hook point and end of buzzer wire.Increase your hookup ratio.
I saw a fish with its back out of the water it was so shallow on the saint johns. I threw a buzz bait ahead of it and it blew it up right as it passed him and it ended up being a solid four pounder I’ve never seen nor caught a largemouth so shallow.
“The baby goat just ain’t got enough booty back there to drop it like it’s hot” --Brian Latimer (when explaining why he uses a trimmer goat instead of a baby goat) Not only do you have to fish to understand that quote but you also have to be in like a certain age range, I feel like, to pick up on the musical reference 😂
I use a similar setup but I have trouble using a 3/8 ounce buzzbait with the goat trailer because it seems to add a lot more lift on the head and runs more sideways then vertical
You either need to tune the bait or you have the plastic hooked a little off center or crooked. That said I have had some buzzbaits that were real picky about what trailers you could run with them so, you might try a different buzzbait. I have to tune almost everyone I receive though- line the arms up with the hook- cause out of package they almost always run off to one side or the other.
@@stoneysdead689 hey there I appreciate you replying with suggestions to help. I also tune my face as well. And after watching this video I went out and I tried a few different brands of buzzbait and found that on some the trailer does work very well at the 3/8 ounce. I'd come to understand that it is more about the head shape of the weighted head then anything else. Hey flattered headshave will tend to hold the bait in a correct position better to counteract the tilt of tension of the soft plastic over a rounded style head. That being said one of my preferred buzzbaits is a war eagle that has more of a round pointy head then a flatter shape head and with my results I see that seems to be the deciding factor
HAHA, you talking about the sizes of baits and tails sound like you talking about my ideal girl. One don't have enough on the rear, one got too much, and one is a lil thick and just perfect tail.
Second video now with this magical Buzz Bait in it that I will ask what brand is that? I have used buzz baits before and they always are so much work to keep on top, but this one looks damn near effortless. Either you don't remember or perhaps it's a new product you aren't at liberty to disclose yet? ;) The "B Lat Buzzy Boi" perhaps ???
Yo brother , seen you was using a blue rod ...couldn't remember which video it was in ...seeing what type it was and one that works well with your usable setups you use on the fly ?
I just need to know what buzz bait that is that you're throwing, I am a buzzbait fanatic and I have way too many because I always think that the next one I buy is going to be the best one, I think all of us do the same thing when we're buying tackle.. but I've always got a few extra dollars for another buzz bait, which kind of buzzbait is that?
Man I wish I had your casting skills Mr. B Lat. Love the psychoanalysis you've performed on these fish too. And I think urban dictionary is getting a "trifflin' fish" entry after this video. Whoever started that soft plastic trailer trend almost certainly had a financial stake in the growth of the tackle industry.
Great vid but your camera man should be looking at the bait more he only showed the bait 2 times in the water. I know i wanna see that buzz bait chopping water and then bam a toad..lol Love the vids still just a thought idk. Appreciate the content always God Bless and tight lines B-Lat
Anyone know what kind of buzz bait that is and where to get them? Not the trailer but the actual buzz bait itself? Mine doesn't sound nearly that good @Brian Latimer
WHAT????? A black man saying there's "too" much booty in the back??? 03.33 I didn't think that was possible. Oh wait...are we still talking about fishing lures? lol sorry...couldn't pass up the opportunity.
You don't throw 50 unless you're using really heavy wire hooks you can't bend out- and you use it because of the cover you're fishing in- not the size of fish you're catching. If you're punching heavy veg. is routine to pull in 10 pounds of grass and slop with each fish- and you had to pull all that free so- 30 simply won't do the job. Besides, if you get a truly large bass in that stuff you have to hit her hard enough to turn her head straight toward you and then winch her out quickly or you will lose her every time. She'll wrap you up without fail if you don't hit her aggressively and turn her head to look at you first thing- if you let her turn her head away from you she's going that way and she's gonna wrap you up. As for tearing up your gear- never heard of that bud- if you get wrapped up and can't get it free you just cut it man. But you never pull on it using your rod or reel- that's silly and yes would definitely break both- you use your hands to pull it free from snags or you cut it and retie. I've run 60 frogging heavy mats and never had it bother any of my gear at all- its made for frogging with heavy braid.
@@stoneysdead689 still overkill bud. But thats what us bass fisherman do. Love to see someone bust 30lb on a hooksetin the grass on a teener. To each his own. I got what your saying I just don't agree. I've pulled trees down with 30. I have to cut it when I snag bad.

Just the buzz bait VIDEO I was looking for... Never used one, UNTIL TOMARO
I just got one and it feels different then all my other bait. Good luck and hopefully you catch some good fish!
It's so fun. My favorite lure to fish since this summer. You'll catch em with it
Catch a couple fish on the buzzbait and you'll be changed forever
Buzz airs are probably my favorite topwater to throw if they are biting. Awesome blowups!
Same I’ve had a few for a while , never used em yet gonna try em today
"you bring ole buzzy boo boo and theyre like okay!!!"
If I Designed a buzz bait that's what I'd call it

"Make the easy cast first." Wisdom. Thanks for this. I really love your videos. I learn something new each time.
I need to use this advice. Can't tell you how many times i've blown out a primo spot on the first cast getting hung up.
Gotta say that I’ve learned more from your videos than pretty much everyone else. New to bass fishing and I love it
Dang I've never thought about that eye ball thing. Big thumbs up man. 👍👍

Best advice I've ever heard in my 3years of watching fishing videos, if it's big enough to cover an eye, it's big enough to hold a fish. That's GOLD!
Addicted to your videos! Best on TH-cam! Thanks man!
This guy just spreading solid knowledge!
Buzz Baits are probably my favorite thing to throw!
Thanks for the tips B.
Thanks for the video Brian. You gave me a lot of ideas on how to fish the buzz bait. I really like how you break it down for the amateur fisherman.
Nice smooooth chunkin & winding. Good tips. Thanks!
Brian, I'm new to your channel. Only took one vid for me to subscribe. These are the videos we been looking for, you're the man
Thank you Brother Brian! I was waiting for one to slurp that thing in. Thats why they call it Fishing not Catching!😉
Thanks again for another great instructional vid B LAT !
Ain't got enough "bootie" ... lol, I hear you brother.
Love the teaching vids 👍🏾👍🏾
Awesome B Lat 👍
Enjoy all your video's and have learned a lot. Thanks
Big enough to cover an eyeball, big enough to hold a bass. So true! Seen it too many times.
knowledge is power!!! Tnx bro👊
I needed this exact video! Thanks for the juice buddy!
Thank you for the video Brian I learn so much from you. Keep up the good work 😊

Thanks. Looks like a good bait to run over grass that's just under the top of the water.
Awesome video thank you

I've honestly never thrown a buzz bait but next spring I'm going to add it to my list of baits to try out!!

Good afternoon my friend. If You don't mind Me asking what Rode are You uses?
Can you do a video on throwing a craw style? And color preference?
You ever try a really light feather teaser in front?
Buzzy boo boo!!
Nice
Would you use the same retrieve for a spinnerbait also?
Still trying to catch one on a buzz bait, definitely not a confidence bait for me, but I want it to be...

Until water temperature is below upper 50s

I think, I think, it's a Strike King buzz
If you don't like topwater we can't be friends.
Is there a time when you would want to use a buzz bait instead of a whopper plopper?
Buzzbait can be skipped under docks and overhanging trees. Buzzbait is easier to fish around cover with than a plopper
I have 40lb braid, what now mr. fisher guy?
Why is 20lb too small? I have never used anything over 15lb.
It doesn’t cast well on a Baitcaster and it’s too small of diameter. It’ll break easily
Where’s the fish?
"bait got back"......
