Really shows you how powerful a high inquisitor is. That alpha legion would willing sacrifice an entire spy ring, their allied pirate fleets, and a massive space station in order to obtain one.
God this was such a good Alpha legion and inquisitor story. Now I'm just waiting for the last few deleted seconds where ABP announces that he is actually omegon
The Alpha Legion... plot twist: they are the Emperor’s own sleeper cell within Chaos. It is the Emperor who is in reality, always one step ahead. Amazing read ABP.
Interesting how, the Legion played the inquisition all along. The inquisitor here was so convinced that Falkron pride would be his downfall that he never actually realized that there is no Pride or self indulging "Villain" sentiment among Alpha legion where everyone is everyone and none at the same time , where a reached goal never bring pleasure for any individual. It was the Inquisitor to have be played all along leverageing his own pride, making him think the enemy was mocking him by allowing his life to continue as a witness, while the hydra only objective had always been to put one of their faceless agents in his place. This is probably why the Alpha Legion is so difficult to corrupt by the chaos powers: they leave no grasp go get a hold on among their components and for that they can freely work in close contact with chaos, using it for their own means but without ever getting tainted by it's contact.
Excellent job ABP ! Sound does seem better but your narration skills keep increasing. GW should put you on the payroll especially as there are a few Thousand of us who agree and who really look forward to your newest narrations . Thank you for making this pandemic lockdown infinitely more tolerable.
Wow this was the best story I have heard so far, I have been binging non stop liking all your videos, really threw me for a loop with this one the alpha legion taking the inquisitors place, many props from Brooklyn NYC bro big big fan of your work
First off I hope I do not get in trouble for listening to this. Second thank you for deciding to release this. Thirdly, I love how this turned out. It does justice to both the Inquistion, the Imperium and the Alpha Legion. The Imperium of Man, good at combatting open threats to its survival. The Inquistion, a secretive order within the Imperium devoted to combating the threats that seek Mankind's downfall from the shadows. Excels at information gathering, secrecy, and some of the most advanced technology of the Imperium at its disposal. This includes, but is not limited to commandeering of Imperial Navy, Guard, psykers, tech priests, ministers of faith, heretics? alien technology, requesting Adeptus Astartes aid for operations, and specialized Astartes such as the .... ....... for combat against the more sinister foes. (Yes I know they can ask/demand/plead? for Grey Knights to come to their aid.) The Alpha Legion, What I like to think of as the orginal Inquistion before Malcador got the roots of the Inquistion planted and rooted in the Imperium. Consider the Alpha Legion as willing to go to every length to achieve victory. When I say "every" I MEAN EVERY! Betray mortal followers to most agonizing death imaginable? Done as easy as breathing. Convincing allies into doing all the hard work for you in the name of efficiency and preservation of your own group? Why even ask its already down. Destroy majority of a Planet's population, industry, and identity regardless of the aftermath?! Been there and done that twice! Once with Rogal Dorn and once with Roboute Guilliman. Check me on this please. Willing to kill members of their own squad/company/warband/chapter/legion to accomplish objectives that not even they understand of recognize? Yes. The Alpha Legion will do whatever it takes to accomplish their objectives, regardless of it being right or wrong, good or evil, brazen or secretive, if it works they will use it. Fool the foe, make them do the dirty work for them, and supplant themselves into the vacuum, done. A final two questions for all before I go. Can the Alpha Legion be beaten? "You must know your enemy to defeat them colonel." Quote from Captain Gabriel Angelos 3rd Company Blood Ravens. Later Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens. If the Alpha Legion is your enemy and the above quote holds true, how can you defeat them by knowing them if they do not know themselves? A brilliant tale told by an amazing narrator, this is the first video I have watched of yours, you can expect many like and views from me across your previous and upcoming content. Great job 👍
That was a fantastic narration thanks man! Imagine! One of these days rogue elements of the Officio Assasinorium,Alpha legion,Thousand Sons, Inquisition and Eldar will get together. Then let the (mind) games begin.
The Alpha Legion is the BEST. This is the second time they have bested (and assumed the identity of) an Inquisitor. They have destroyed AT LEAST one loyalist Space Marine Chapter, with almost no losses thru subterfuge and deception, gifting the chapter geneseed to the Black Legion and taking their ships and dreadnoughts. They also hijacked a Titan Legion on route to destroy a heretic rebellion, commandeered the entire transport - Imagine a titan legion under the command of the Alpha Legion landing at the spaceport of the imperial base. Yeah, these guys are BADASS,
If I'm building a Traitor 40k force, it will be Alpha Legion. I imagine kitbashing chaos marines and tactical marines or simply mixing them in squads, maybe with some older armour parts here and there
It’s an awesome story, but it makes me feel like the alpha legion are about as op as Batman with prep time. Like, the only thing that saves the imperium from them is their sheer size, and amount of things that the alpha legion has to infiltrate with unnecessary complexity lol
You act like the Alpha Legion aren't a loyalist cell inside chaos. They keep overtly screwing chaos and often times directly helping the imperium. They're a loyalist faction deep undercover.
@@DelightfulTyrant I think that's also just a deception. They are more like the eldar, they are up to something on their own and use imperium and chaos and probably anything else for that purpose. But what purpose that is, no body knows.
The Inquisitor shaking his fist at the sky and going "Phoocroooon" for the hundredth time, when he realizes the shipment of powercells has been swapped for bobbleheads.
That was a good vid i enjoyed that. The bit where the guy helped the man in a mask on to the escape craft but didnt help fokron that told me who the boss was.
@Anzu Wylieia lil bit of a rant stims are standard for most military forces and the medix are standard depending on which group you fight with. Assassins are not on par with astartes. Long range sniping, body modification, information and infiltration, destroy it all and psychic weaponry are all employed by astartes. Once an assassin gets made (vs astartes) then the jig is up, so there is no reason it would make an Inquisitor without those levels of training a match even for an assassin. The power of an Inquisitor is 4 part: 1: most have some psychic ability or defense 2: the can call on anyone for backup and will most likely get it. Fight one, you fight everyone. 3: can wield weapons that would be banned to most and otherwise be declared heretical. 4: can poke their nose in your business like the feds. Even if an Inquisitor might be say 7' in some cases, to a space marine's 7-8', that doesn't make him as strong as said space Marine of equivalent height. Now this is important for a simple reason, weight. Unlike powerarmor, the terminator plate is heavy, bulky, enough to slow a space marine , being relatively difficult for even them to use. We see when facing each other, that the terminator plate is vulnerable vs standard armor in Cqb because of limited movement. Tell me then, how can a man with nearly average human attributes who is unable to even fully interface with his armor, worsening the inherent flaw, be able to move in it at anything beyond a breathless lumbering pace? Not just that, he is as quick in it as alpha legion soldier who are recognised not just for above average size and strength, but speed as well. It has artificial muscle, but that doesn't stop it's bulk from taking a toll on a space marine and there is no reason that would differ for a human. It just feels like the the way marvel handles their Characters. Today, we have orange lantern Galactus! Tadaaaa!! It just sucks. Period.
ABorderPrince, great videos. All I listen to when I drive. Any chance you would consider doing some Solar Macharius novels? Such a great hero of the Imperium.

Alternate ending- I don't think an Inquisitor would be that foolhardy; Two weeks ago. On the eve of fleet's departure for the Hydra's Eye, the Admiral took me aside as I walked through the docking port and informed me I had a visitor in my stateroom. “I am instructed to say nothing further” was all he said. As I unlocked the door I noted the door log showed no entry, but I walked in. Sure enough, there was a visitor, cowled in a simple grey cloak, sitting at my desk, waiting for me. Silently, he stood and presented a rosette to me which I took and registered into the desktop cogitator. Despite my my long service I'd never seen a number of the symbols the device presented, and many of them were undecipherable, but I understood enough of the others. I returned his rosette and offered mine. He held up a hand, then reached into his tunic and took out a folded scrap of paper and placed it on my desk, then walked out of the room. I retrieved and unfolded the paper as the door closed, on it was written “Expect a trap. Destroy this paper.” I did so. --------------- I start to rise, the masked man reaches up with his left hand a pulls the silver mask away. I look at him, he has no face. So, here is the trap. I take in my last breath, and as I trigger the dead-man circuit I recite “The Emperor Protects”... On the flagship the sensors station reported “Plasma blast in the Hydra's Eye” and the Admiral saw the Inquisitor's suit telemetry go offline. Grimly, he opened the Inquisitor's encrypted orders and read. He motioned to the ship's Commodore-Captain, “Dispatch a servitor sensor team to search the Hydra's Eye at the Inquisitor's last known location. Delivery vehicle to self-destruct once the servitors are embarked. Maintain all ships at station and full alert, any other vehicles approaching or departing the station are to be immediately destroyed.” He saluted and turned to his waiting officers. Video from the servitor team showed the devastation from the four plasma grenades and one psyk grenade that the Inquisitor had integrated in his suit. Of the Inquisitor, nothing recognizable could be found but six burned out husks of unknown space marines were found around the room, fragments of several more among the debris. No sign was found of the masked man. The remains of the masked creature flexed its warp-born limbs against the deck plates fused around and through them. No movement at all. “Its going to be a long time in the dark”, it thought, its face, unseen outside of the warp for 10,000 years, now exposed to the hard vacuum of human space. “And now all to do over again.”
The one true pity about the Alpha is that gw will never be able to resolve their mysteries, not in any significant manner: whatever they will come up with will forever be diminished by the potential of what could have been, and the myriad of fan theories. If they truly go for the "tinker, tailor, soldier, spy" gambit pileup, it's going to be a shitshow, with all the stories written before.
Yes, woman voice sounds better than it normally does. ^_^ Though, in my eyes this story suffers from being a short story. It is a story about espionage, intrigue, spies. Yet, it has length of an entire book or even series of books while contained in a short story. What we get now are events moving without explanation. Inquisition decapitating high ranking members of various organizations is taking a lot of liberties with a lore. Inquisition can't just do that without causing a massive backlash. They need evidence for that and it just passes everything. One moment he is fighting civil war on a planet, next hunting pirates, next his ship is being invaded by Alpha legion who disappear into nothingness like ghosts. Then Inquisitor starts murdering servants of Imperium for giggles. Then he gets conveniently coordinates of Alpha legion home of operation. Then Inquisitor yolos alone to kills this Chaos champion all alone. Like seriously, he had won. Why risk his defeat? It is not even like it is a sure thing, if you place normal human vs space marine, no matter of training or equipment, human will have a mighty hard time winning. Then Alpha legion just injures their own despite nobody seeing his wounds. There is a lot of silly stuff in this book like this and for me, it lacks depth which would had been achieved by a full book.
does this sound better than it normally does?? i feel its better sound

stims are standard for most military forces and the medix are standard depending on which group you fight with. Assassins are not on par with astartes. Once an assassin gets made (vs astartes) then the jig is up, so there is no reason it would make an Inquisitor without those levels of training a match even for an assassin. The power of an Inquisitor is 4 part:
1: most have some psychic ability or defense
2: the can call on anyone for backup and will most likely get it. Fight one, you fight everyone.

Two weeks ago.
