Local Auto Value store started carrying the High Teck brand. They carry the filler for 21 bucks a gallon! Victory red, black, clear. They got it. I was surprised because I always had to order from Ebay. Low price and decent paint. Yup, slowing down the video sometimes is appreciated by paint junkies
@@3Wheels1Block I've used the oxford white and there white diamond pearl.... Both great but the pearl is outstanding honestly... I use it as a mid coat binder and add other colors of pearls to it for projects... Makes everything come out very elegant and smooth looking.
Truck looks great. I am in the process of restoring an 87 Chevy Truck. I was wondering (I apologize if you mentioned it in the video) why you have the rockers and the side of the truck cab all the way to the rockers masked up. Again, great job on it. John
@@3Wheels1Block it turned out pretty good for an amateur painter and cheap paint and a harbor freight 9.99 paint gun. I did get some runs in the clearcoat, how would you go about that?
@@rg4616 glad that you got it done. If your runs have a hard bubble at that end use a razor to trim it back flat. Then use a Small paint stick or sanding block wrapped in 1500 grit paper to flatten it all the way down. Buff it with a polisher and you will be good.
It's turning out great as usual! Nice job
Thank you Daninator this one has been a work out.
Nice work man
Thank you!
Thanks for this. I've been trying to estimate how long/much stuff I needed per coat. Appreciate the tips!
You are welcome, I am glad it helped, getting the right flow can be tricky
Amd you are right. Slow down, don't get too excited or in a rush. Keep thinking and focus and avoid accidents and mistakes👍
You are absolutely correct... Focus is key

Thank you, great question! I had previously sprayed the cab of the truck when the doors were off, this is why I had the finished paint masked up.
Where do you get those paint can lids?
You can get these lids on Amazon or eBay.
Thanks for posting, how many coats of base?
No problem! This has 2 coats of base and 2 coats of high solids clear.
Thanks, I’m going to paint this same thing soon.
@@rg4616 no problem, I hope it turns out great for you😎

Dude this is painful to watch 😢
Sorry to inflict pain upon you 😬. The results was good though 🤷🏾♂️
Has anyone used the red 1k high teck sealer?
I have not, but I have had good results with Speedokotes 1k sealer.
I've used their grey 1k sealer. Works great.
Your painting technique is horrible 😫
😂 I get good results, please swing by the shop at any time and show me how I can improve, I appreciate any tips to make the job better.
@@3Wheels1Block yeah. I could show u a thing or two or 99+
Cool deal, the shop door is always open, I'll even post up the video. Drop me an email and we can make it happen 😎
