Such an awesome achievement, Does anyone else find it hard to focus on the climbing when we cut between 3 or 4 different camera angles? It feels jarring to the viewer's perspective making it harder to relate and understand truly how difficult this must be? Thanks so much for sharing, it's an amazing piece of climbing, just felt a little lost trying to keep up with the pace of the edits.
I am not even into climbing and even I realise this fella should be knighted. When you push the boundaries of what is perceived as the human limit it deserves recognition.

It's not at all surprising he reminds me so much of the equally tubby Don Whillans....let's just pray his ( Johnny's ) drinking doesn't put him in the same premature grave. Johnny Dawes is a genius. However, it is completely disingenuous to describe this as a hands-free E3 with the top rope in place and I suspect JD would agree. This particular route only gets that grade because when climbed on the lead, unless you place a side runner, there are a series of unprotected moves. It is not graded E3 for technical difficulty - technically it would be nearer to a well protected HVS or E1. Yes, I’ve led it without a side runner, many years ago, and I admit that I shat myself. It’s nowhere near JDs most impressive hands-free climbs though I guess it’s a hot day (uncharacteristic shirtless JD).
