Is the foot pocket the same as the longer Seac Motus? the stiffness? I saw these are made in Italy, the Motus in China. Any quality or sizing difference between Motus and Talent?

The talent is shorter and the Motus is longer. Foot pockets are the same but you can't remove the blade from the foot pocket of the Talent. I would suggest the Talent for beginners and shallower diving, and the Motus for shallow to medium depth diving. The Motus fins are medium soft stiffness and the Talents are more medium hard stiffness.

@@DivingSports Thank you. I got the Talent pre-owned, and I have to say their foot pockets are so comfortable. They fit me better than the Cressi Gara Modular Nery. I have wide feet. I go spearfishing mostly by jetties in 20 ft water, and the Talent are so comfy. Probably I would buy the Motus as plastic fins instead of the Gara. I was wondering if the foot pockets were different, as the Talent are made in Italy and the Motus made in China (nothing wrong with stuff made in China, but I thought the molding/design might have been different).

@@stefpix To my knowledge the Motus fins are also made in Italy. At least that's according to our SEAC catalogs and the bottom of the foot pockets also say they're made in Italy. I don't have information on the actual blades so it's possible those are made in China but I'm not sure. But yea other than one being modular and one not, there's no difference between the two foot pockets.

@@DivingSports I went to Leisure Pro in NYC and they had a pair, and I seem to remember it said "Made in China". Maybe different batches. The Talent are good for air travel as they fit in many regular, not oversize bags, although someone can remove the blades for the modular fins to pack them. The SEAC Motus also have a very nice look. I think they nailed a very good fin.

@@stefpix Maybe they've changed manufacturers but yea at least what we have in store is made in Italy. Agreed, shorter fins are definitely easier to travel with. Given that they're plastic though, you could always pack your longer fins and if they're curved in the bag that's fine, they'll bounce back

Should you wear booties or socks with these?

Depends on where you're diving and how cold it is. If you're in the tropics you can get away with no socks or thin neoprene socks. I also have friends who use just normal cotton socks while diving to prevent blisters. If you're in colder places I would definitely use thicker neoprene socks.
