    You’re bang on. The only self test that showed my Femur stress before scans was the offload of pressure on my quad during a lean forward.

    That's precisely right. I got a hip fracture and every now and then Im checking this way to see if it came back

    Theory: loading perhaps compresses the fracture join together, unloading separates the fracture join hence the pain felt.

    This is exactly right. I had these same symptoms and it was in fact stress fracture. My contention is that when you release the load, the signal to the brain causes a delay in actually feeling the pain. It’s about 0.25-0.50 second after releasing the loaded, then the pain is heightened, then the pain decreases again.

      How long did it take you to get back? I was out for 4 months with the same and I did my first light jog/walk intervals on Thursday

      And dont do too much too soon

      @@abnormal_3 it actually was but it took 2 xrays to prove it was as it was minute
