You aren't wrong. I've been rapping and producing people forever, but when I decided to record myself singing I realized there was SO MUCH to learn about performance and delivery. I like to sing my part, melodyne it, then practice singing along to the perfect version over and over again until I got it down. Also, watching vocal training videos and actually doing the warm ups is a GREAT help. Oh, and the time of day I think makes a difference. If you're just waking up or you've been busy all day your voice is gonna sound different than you at midday with no strain put on your voice yet.
Great tips in a good order! That last tip is definitely something I struggled with, but learning to love my unique voice and learning that only I can sing like me is something I wish I was told more. Thanks!!
I have a different problem but sort of similar to this. I like my casual singing voice but when I have to record I hate what I hear at the moment and wehn I listen back then it's not as bad as I'd thought it'd be. Hopefully this can help
Great videos mate. Your channel will blow up soon!
I appreciate that! Thanks!

For sure man! The time of day is a great point, and warm-ups are key!
