This is russian, not church slavonic. It sounds extremely similar to the russian version but in slavonic the "g" is changed to an "h" (like hospodi instead of gospodi and at the end "hre-esh naho") and a couple other minor changes. Not fluent but grew up in a byzantine catholic church. The internet tends to group russian orthodoxy and Byzantine catholics (who still use old church slavonic) together, so its prob just an innocent error. I had to look it up myself and only really knew because of "gospodi" not being "hospodi" and generally in Slavic languages the endings of certain words are slightly different and thats about it) I love the russian recording as an alternative but unfortunately this isnt church slavonic, just very close to it.

5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ but just curious what the difference is between the Old Church Slavonic version and the Russian version, they sound identical.
This is russian, not church slavonic. It sounds extremely similar to the russian version but in slavonic the "g" is changed to an "h" (like hospodi instead of gospodi and at the end "hre-esh naho") and a couple other minor changes.
Not fluent but grew up in a byzantine catholic church. The internet tends to group russian orthodoxy and Byzantine catholics (who still use old church slavonic) together, so its prob just an innocent error. I had to look it up myself and only really knew because of "gospodi" not being "hospodi" and generally in Slavic languages the endings of certain words are slightly different and thats about it)
I love the russian recording as an alternative but unfortunately this isnt church slavonic, just very close to it.
I don't understand it but it make me feel relaxed 😌
