V@@lykezomfg11for me that was his whole attitude and approach to the game.. there are only two days one you go in and one you get out. For him going to prison was part of the job. It doesn't really bother him. He was accepting of this negative side of his criminality and that was Why he opposed Stringer's so called reform of the game
@samuelmuiruri4704 oh for sure. Even in prison avon was still the king. He had guards bringing him fast food. Even Marlo had to go through Avon in order to reach the Greeks. Goes back to the chess analogy where the king stay the king. Game is the game.
By season five, you find yourself kind of wishing the BPD waited a couple more days to arrest Avon and just let the game/nature take its course. A lot of lives, not least of which being Randy’s, could have been spared
If there wasn't Marlo, there'd be some other younger gun coming up. Even Avon at one point was the young one taking on established crews. Stringer runs through a list of kingpins they took down in season 2 during Dangelo's funeral.
@@notthegoatseguy That’s definitely true. “No Marlo, no game”. I just think the show runners did an amazing job frustrating the audience here, since we see Avon getting closer to taking down Marlo than the police ever did
4:11 That young blood who's been "trifling with Avon Barksdale's reputation" throughout the whole season finally gets his redemption arc. That's when he says, without fear, "...the day you come out" in Avon's presence.
I have a request for the "Yall go to the movies?" scene with Bodie, Poot, Herc, Carver, and Dozerman cause that's my favorite funny scene from the show.
It's what they say to convince young people to stay loyal and obey them and do crime for them. Make them think it's not a big deal until you're actually in there and in Danglos place. The king takes very little risk and has the people beneath him eat the jail time. Even the generals like weebay know they gotta eat time eventually so they take it all on their shoulders. Still though it's a better mentality to have it that way than any other because there's not like there's another option once youre already locked up.
Bc Prop Joe and the other Co-Op members cut off access to the Connect (The Greeks). Also bc the turf war was hurting business, and Avon was not going to stop.
lol it’s funny how slim charles was the real pawn king lol he was in the right spot at the wrong time and Avon was in the wrong place at the right time 😂 Avon being in the wrong place saved Marlo ass lol how ironic
Stringer caused most of the problems and downfall. The rat. Too had Bodie and the rest who killed Wallice over it didn't see what a hypocrite self serving rat he was.
It's ironic how Marlo's crew was bragging about Stringer's death, and he inadvertently saved their asses 😂
🎯🎯🎯
@@TheWireUni i hated that ,marlo should been up on the wire , life without parole 😕
A House divided cannot stand.
Avon's expression right before they came in like "dam they got us " great acting
avon start laughing when he knows the jig is up, he aint even mad
Game is the game

Avon Barksdale is the real varsity athlete

See you tomorrow then?
You got a law degree? 😂 he was tight
3:22 During the entry, the first few shots of Herc put you on edge, making you think he's about to light the place up. He's the chaos in this scene
Only do two days my azz, time behind bars is wasting time.
We cannot make more time.

It’s crazy how they both sold each other out
The best night of Marlo's life.😂
Nah that $10M lick was he bought the plug from Avon for $100K goat finesser that’s 1,000% ROI
Why did stringer give Avon up like this tho?
Bc Prop Joe and the other Co-Op members cut off access to the Connect (The Greeks). Also bc the turf war was hurting business, and Avon was not going to stop.
I think also Stringer getting robbed by Clay Davis and Avon just clowning him about it in front of Slim Charles didn’t help much either .
Stringer realized that his days were probably numbered. Avon was barely treating him like a business partner anymore.
I sholl wanted barksdale to get them they caught Marlo slipping

Stringer had to go
townsen town tower their library there then here there here
pete angeles there zorbis there plan there
Mcnulty seem cool but was a dirty cop threw and threw no different than the gangstas
Snoooooooooooooooooooooop
I wonder what was his gameplan claiming all the weapons is his? 3:44
Loyalty and taking charges away from Avon.
He's got a law degree
same as weebay coping to all the murders
He’ll be well taken care of in and out the joint
Nah he did it for the pit sandwich and the tater salad
