At 27, she's still a spring chicken. Plenty of time to sort out her career but like everyone above has said, you need a plan and an idea what you want to do. Ideally it is something that she's wanted to do for some time, but it doesn't sound like her mind is made up. So my only piece of advice to you is, don't get into too much debt with higher education, because if she changes her mind about what she wants to do after finishing her degree, you'll still have to pay the money back.

The internet is still new and exciting, but it is walled off, censored, and monitored by governments. The dark web still exists and the files you 'investigated' are still online. But all searches are much more difficult to execute publicly not because the material doesn't exist. The search engines are designed to provide the individual with information that is useful for other people monitoring the populace and not explicitly for you.

Threatened to take my bank card away and monitor my account, wanting to see my payslips from work and keep track of my spending.
As embarrassing as it was, I managed to demonstrate that it was pop-ups, which she did question because it was only MY log-on that had them.

About 80% of them ended up with a virus which caused the campus's network to lock them out of internet usage. According to them, most of their floor lost internet access. It was crazy how popular the program was and how scary it was, too.

Between 1998 and 2010, the internet was like this:
    - You didn't have to use your real name, for anything. Everyone used an alias and no one knew who each other was. That was the general consensus. It was weird to use your real name actually. Because why would you ? It's the internet.
    - You didn't have to login with Facebook. Facebook wasn't tracking your activity across the web
    - Google worked
    - You could find *anything* online for free. Games, movies, music, tv-shows,
    - Not as many "get-rich-quick" schemes (those came after 2004)
    - No pop-ups, no invasive ads
    - Trolls, people joking around 4 the lols without fearing legal action
    - No triggered social justice warriors. Most were trolling
    Cons:
    - Slower speeds
    - Not "as connected" as today
    - Not mobile friendly, not corporate friendly.
To me, those years of the internet were the proof that we don't need to be regulated by rules or governments and that people can get along just fine if you let them judge by themselves what to do and what not. Just look at how far the internet has come. Corporations are rushing to get your atention, they want in on what we've built. And they come with their stupid rules and greed to ruin our little place of paradise.
