Hi. You are welcome. You must import it to the Abaqus/CAE. Then use the query toolbox. In the query toolbox, you must use the distance tool and measure the distance between two adjacent nodes. You must do it for several cases to check whether the mesh size is equal on all the edges or not.
@@FemexIran Only one point that you said in the answer to my question was incomprehensible to me. If we have an inp file, we can find out the distance between the meshes with a measuring tool. I didn't understand the part of importing to cae, what does it mean?
@@Shahrokh.golpayegani You must import the INP file into the CAE. You must follow this: Menu bar => File => Import => Model => set the type of file to INP then select the INP file which you want to be imported.
My second question is about beam to column connection. The column is merged with beam. Is it possible to mesh each one separately ? Their mesh size is different and they must be meshed merged together
Hi. As far as I know, when you merge several parts, a new part is created which is the merged version of the initial parts. Then you must mesh the new part. You can use partitioning and seed edges tool to define different element size on each region.
That is a very comprehensive training that I’v ever learned for meshing technique in Abaqus! Thank you very much!
Hi.
Thank you for you useful videos.
I have an INP file and I want to know the mesh size of the model. How can I find it ?
