I would be curious to know what is the deciding factor for items to be on the list: time to build, cost, new technology, general size or the controversy it caused. There's at least 6 projects that I honestly don't find impressive, either because it has already been done, it's nothing special or, even if it'S big, there are bigger ones elsewhere. Those 6 are: California high speed rail, New York UBS arena, London Crossrail, Malaysia Klang Valley MRT, China Bayetan dam and Scottsdale The Palmeraie.
These are definitely not the top 15. We easily pick up a lot of meg projects in China that can beat those in the video. For example, Sichuan-Tibet railroad which is under construction and extremely difficult.
These projects are like grains of sand if compared to ours railway project.. in Viet Nam have railway project Cát Linh - Hà Đông total investment 800 millions usd...project length 15km construction time has been over 15 years and we still waiting Chinese contractor finish it...unbliveble :)))
Indian highspeed rail network under-construction $10 billion. Dholera city india $100 billion under construction. Recently constructed a irrigation project worth $6 billion. And many projects are under construction. Like $3 billion airport
When it comes to Chinese mega projects I don’t think cost is a consideration, if the ruling party (communism obviously, it is the only party after all) decide it will happen then it will happen, and it doesn’t matter if it ever gets finished or used, it’s just a way of keeping industrial output high and workers busy so they don’t get restless. 😀👍🇬🇧🏴
"Look, see, we're Building all of this, for you, the people. . . . Now you've looked, get back to the damn factories, and if we see you anywhere near here you'll be shot as a foreign spy"
Cost is also not an issue in US. If they planned 1B, they will ended up being 10B, and push the finish date for 10 years. And 10 years later, it is still not finished, and they will ask another 20B. US can't finish any mega projects.
America: "Finally, we've built something advanced and that will make peoples' lives easier." Rest of the world: " 'Bout time you caught up. It's only been 20 years, but hey, better late than never."
And now the US empire crumbling and curbing a new superpower that hasnt invades anyone in decades unlike the US that stole all ita riches after overthrowing over 80 governments
@RockAndRollOne lol China achieves massive achievements still to this day because its government doesn't change and their goals are 15 to 20 year plans that they can stick to. I'm not saying I agree with their government, just that they achieve huge goals like the biggest hydro dam in the world....

(Can't melt down)/clean (1% of the waste), cheap (cheaper than solid fuel reactors). They built a working reactor at Oak Ridge in 1964.... Where's the love?
Where's the common sense? People lump all types of nuclear reactor to solid fuel reactors of our fathers. Can't have a discussion o LFTR Thorium reactors w/o someone confusing it with Thorium solid fuel reactors.
Where are the delta works? I mean like it is one of the modern 7 world wonders

how come a NY 1.5 B hokey arena and a 2.5 B residential development project are on this list? they are way too ordinary, and clearly much smaller than all others.
Number 13s original cost was estimated at 45 billion, now said to cost over 100 billion. Also it was supposed to be open an operating summer of 2020. Yet they only have 5 or 6 miles of track bed laid down near fresno....... 100 billion plus boondoggle
How many of them will be finished?
I would be curious to know what is the deciding factor for items to be on the list: time to build, cost, new technology, general size or the controversy it caused. There's at least 6 projects that I honestly don't find impressive, either because it has already been done, it's nothing special or, even if it'S big, there are bigger ones elsewhere. Those 6 are: California high speed rail, New York UBS arena, London Crossrail, Malaysia Klang Valley MRT, China Bayetan dam and Scottsdale The Palmeraie.
How about HS2 its 150 billion dollars and its getting built in England high speed rail. 431 million dollars a mile. London to the North.
These are definitely not the top 15. We easily pick up a lot of meg projects in China that can beat those in the video. For example, Sichuan-Tibet railroad which is under construction and extremely difficult.
Please try to search chenab Bridge and shimla-leh rail line project which is at a altitude of 5000m
3:57-4:12 it's Moscow city transport infrastructure building))
why is the CA High speed rail on here? as a CA native i can confirm nothing is happening with it.
When did Charlie sheen start doing narrating?
Lol it does sounds like him
Meh
These projects are like grains of sand if compared to ours railway project.. in Viet Nam have railway project Cát Linh - Hà Đông total investment 800 millions usd...project length
15km construction time has been over 15 years and we still waiting Chinese contractor finish it...unbliveble :)))
Indian highspeed rail network under-construction $10 billion. Dholera city india $100 billion under construction. Recently constructed a irrigation project worth $6 billion. And many projects are under construction. Like $3 billion airport
@@kamartaj3010 congratulation your country
Human are amazing, they can built these mega project
Humans are dumb, they pay taxes to make the rich richer.
Always thought, and seen, in várious media sources, that the french tgv was the fastest rail netwok in the world.
And iam not talking abaut meglev.
7:19 Native American Culture in Hawai'i?
That was a good one!🤙🏻
WOw Shocker, escalating costs and mismanagement in California! NO WAY!
@@purplemnkydshwshr , Precisely, Lol.
Cost is also not an issue in US. If they planned 1B, they will ended up being 10B, and push the finish date for 10 years. And 10 years later, it is still not finished, and they will ask another 20B. US can't finish any mega projects.
Why do you consider the Californian hsr a megaproject?
Good video
You’ve not even watched all of it yet
Not a mention on the impact the Chinese water project already has on neighbouring countries
How about the city of pearl Philippines?
Content creator: Top Fives.
Video: Top 15.
what about the Dutch Delta works
Egypt's new capital project is too big to accomplish, I don't think they have enough fund to support such complex and huge project.
America: "Finally, we've built something advanced and that will make peoples' lives easier."
Rest of the world: " 'Bout time you caught up. It's only been 20 years, but hey, better late than never."
Crossrail is 60 miles long and will cost 27 billion dollars but it we be worth it. A 21st century underground underneath London Town.
Nations: We're building huge malls, roads, dams and skyscrapers.
USA: Been there, done that 100 years ago 🤣
And now the US empire crumbling and curbing a new superpower that hasnt invades anyone in decades unlike the US that stole all ita riches after overthrowing over 80 governments
Why put stuff like 2B dollars above 60-70B dollars? I mean a fancy residential area doesn't sound like an impressive megaproject to me.
Please also use meters
Wow
why are you called Top Fives when theyre always top 15s❓
Spongebobs saving Venice. Nice
Not funny
India infrastructure is the pride of Asia
LOL railways bro? I think Chinese railway is just anothe level of these "building" ones.
this is the fact number one is the capital of New Cairo
20:08 The appeal of Egypt is in its history, who the fuck wants to travel there to see a new subdivision?
what about Grand Paris Express? 🚇
from 12:52 to 12:54 is not in China, is Singapore
12:55 This is not China, It's China town in Thailand.
Charlie? Charlie sheen is that you?
There's already a shortage of good water in AZ....
Is that Charlie Sheen?
HS2?
China has the longest High-Speed Railway network.
It kinda needs to.
@RockAndRollOneyou need to stop watching fox news.
@RockAndRollOnepretty weird champ bruh why are you so triggered chill
@RockAndRollOne lol China achieves massive achievements still to this day because its government doesn't change and their goals are 15 to 20 year plans that they can stick to. I'm not saying I agree with their government, just that they achieve huge goals like the biggest hydro dam in the world....
@RockAndRollOne what do you mean my lies? Your nieve if you think they havnt achieved anything.... how about you ignore all the crap they build because people from the rest of the world ask them to and then get them to do it cheaper n laugh while all the dumb consumers blame china...... but just ignore all that look at countries levels of depth n where its owed to..... they are kings in mass production n if you dont like it dont buy mass produced shit.....
