My childs father said he is not helping me since I put him on childs support and if I want financial help then I need to take him off. He treats me like welfare. If I need anything as far as diapers or clothes hell help alittle but if it's for daycare, or anything money u need he said he's not helping until he's off. It's so much and so draining. Thanks for covering. I asked before I put him on for half of what the court has ordered to pay and now he's bitter.

So sorry that he’s threatening you with this, not sure about your state but I know for mine you can’t just take someone off of child support once they’re on it. Maybe using that angle like oh I can’t do anything about it! Regardless I’m glad you were able to get some type of financial support and hopeful that you have additional support from family/friends ❤️
So my son’s dad and I have a 300 every 2 weeks. But the things is my son and I are homeless sleeping on a homegirl couch. He does go to early head start which is free but the hours are so short. The resources here in NJ is saying they can put me in a place but I have to put my son’s dad on child support. I would be still able to get food stamps. And free child care, but I feel like if I do put him on CS I won’t get the 600. Although I’m a working woman I just need something. And I feel bad for wanting to put him on. But my son and I need help and his 600 a month is not helping me get off this girl couch. I really don’t know what to do.
@@Ivee_Ivana hey 👋🏾!! I’m not sure about the laws in NJ but putting I think you can explore that option. Remember child support can be what the state gives you but can also be what you and your child’s father agree upon. If you have a healthy relationship with him I would bring it up to him saying you guys should have the CS in writing as a legal process
So, first look online to see if you would get more or less and if less just make a plan and go to the court to sign off on the plan for what he already pays
Do you have to know the baby daddy exact salary to provide to the court ? Or can the court figure it out ? My BD is in the military and not sure about his how much he makes even when I google
I believe the court can figure that out! But also if he’s wanting to contest or get a specific custody he’s required to send in prof of income he can’t just say a number. Worst case scenario they do the salary based on an estimate of his position! Hope that helps
