We have a lot of similarities to Various Native American tribes. Genetically, We are closely related to the B2 mtDNA group which was the last arrival to America and they include many groups such as the Pueblo tribes in New Mexico and so many others. The B2 group (or a parent group) originated in central China and its migrations happened in many directions, north being the one that went to America and south to south Asia including the Polynesian islands. We share a lot of similar belief systems and cultural practices.

Our people call out to you,
those who have entered our marae (meeting place)
Bringing with you the memory of those who have gone before you,
and the many tears that are shed by us all
See the work that is being done by our people working across the land,
      Spread out far and wide
The earth shakes*, quivering is the sea**
Oh, the love and the pain within me.
The land rumbles and shakes*, yes
      * as traditional Maori see themselves as being of the land this is often used as a metaphor for the physical reaction to passion, excitement and anticipation
** while the earth is used as a metaphor for physical reaction, water is often used as a metaphor for emotional reaction. It links back to the call to remember those who have passed on and the sadness we all feel at their loss

This group would like to perform also a Haka in a theatreconcert: travel around the world. I like this one because it has both the feminity and masculinity in it: although it is hard to see what the boys are doing. Thanks in advance for helping me out!
