Quick question, (at 3:28) what if you don't have a complete frame to work with? I'm working w 3 colors. 1 white (the shirt & cut out lettering), a whole blue circle, & a half red circle inside that. Almost like a Red half border inside the blue circle. When I separate layers I can't color it in red bc it doesn't know where I want it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm stuck at this point! Hope this makes sense.

Hello, I have watched many videos on how to use Inkscape but yours is the best!! Well spoken and in a way as a newbie I can understand, I thank you for that!! I'm hoping u can help me. I followed your video on how to layer hello kitty everything went well till I tried to make her frame all black. I boxed it went to path and break apart but it's doesn't go black at all like yours did, I did it like 5 times and followed u to the T. Everything else works when I go to DS all the layers r there but the black isn't solid can I somehow make it solid using the weld and attach and how would I do it?? I'm so close to getting this!! But frustrated😟 thank u for any help u can give me and please know I'm a real newbie here!! Pam
I have watched your video several times and the hello kitty one.....is it the same when you are doing a 4/5 layer jpg?? I am having trouble with a jpg because it looks like it has outlines to it...any advise??
Trying add color. But i select bucket paint. The color come out color in pencil mark. What I'm doing wrong?
Also confusing because I'm using a new version.
what do you do when you have holes that need to cut out on the bottom layer? It covers them up when I make the back one solid.
