Hello Andy, been working on this for while now, it’s a great drill with really good feels. It’s definitely a long journey you cure one issue and crest two more problems to solve. Thanks for sharing…
Excellent information on how to unload the right arm in the downswing and getting it in front of the chest at impact It's good to know what to focus on when there are so many potential choices. You guys do an excellent job of providing details on what to do, why to do it, how to do it, and finally what it should feel and look like when done correctly.
Been experimenting with my swing for 4 months now. And finally its working on the course, its been H*ll and back lol....I was also on to Cowen few months back, but i wsnt ready i see now...Now when i feel i have a playable and "accepted" swing, i still struggle with out to in and clubface control..stumbled across this "swing" again today on another vid. went out and griped a club with the "cack handed" backswing. Its amazing because it can only go 2 the same place everytime, and when u go down again, the club automatically squares up with shaftlean behind the hands. Then i replicated it with normal grip and went the same way, and the divots immediately got straigh/inside..So now i gonna keep grinding this! cheers☺Ps. talking about left vs right arm, how many % is the right arm swing down in this downswing would u say? so i can clear this once and for all lol
Hey hey. You’d be proud of me. My new swing fell apart last week, some me, some back injury. In my John Daly swing, I had tons of distance. I lost some distance in this new swing, and being that I bought all new clubs on the old swing, I was Distance Hunting because I’m not reshafting these clubs. Messed me all up. I became too fast from the top, I was early extending, and pulling far too much with my left arm. That’s my Daly swing faults. And I couldn’t shake it for a couple of days. So I took a few days off to heal the back a bit. Then I just worked on positions. I was still great to the top, but every position after that was a mess. I squared it away. Big issues were too much pull with my left arm, no extension of my left leg (I was sliding rather than rotating on the left leg), and my right shoulder was too high at impact. But I’m back! Ball position was an issue too, I was standing too close to the ball, that’s an old flaw as well. I have straightened it all out. I can’t hit as many balls now, so I try to be better with the few balls I can hit. It’s working great so far. Thanks mate. 🥂
God i wish i was 30 years younger(47 now) so can put all this into practice & have good go at getting on tour think id have made it with people like Mr Carter,Mr Finch & Mr Fryer helping out each week with drills like these 🏌♂️⛳️👍😏
I wonder if high handicap golfers bring their arm across their chest because of lack of flexibility? You and Karrod work really well together by the way. It’s a nice balance.

Is this drill also for #1wood club?

Low handicap golfers are necessarily more flexible. I see your point but I’d argue that its more positional awareness and understanding
Hands down then rotate
