    "an emo kid who grew up and became a homesteading housewife" I think that is why I enjoy your videos so much, I really relate lol 🐌

    I had the same problem with colour seasons! I couldn’t figure out for ages if I was a dark autumn or winter. I think I was struggling so much because my hair is almost black, but my eyes are a really bright warm brown. All the examples of winter had almost black eyes and autumn had warm brown hair. My skin has olive undertones too so the typical tests gave me nothing. I was so confused.
    I eventually figured it out when I let my very warm toned textbook autumn sister try on one of my silver rings and it looked so weird. I also realised that my warm toned eyeshadows did a lot more for her complexion then they ever did for me. So figured it just be cool.
    Then I bought a dress online and it was a completely different shade than I thought it was going to be which made me realise it’s a bit pointless to split hairs over the difference if your computer monitor and lighting etc. can completely skew the colour anyway 😂
    Figuring out that I have high contrast and that my primary feature was dark was very helpful though. All light looks always made me feel a bit off. As for kibbe/Kitchener, I’m pretty much a textbook gamine in both face and body. I probably have hints of other things but again, I can’t really be bothered splitting hairs over it. Every famous person I’ve ever been told I look like is a gamine. Now i just have a name for it. Basically I get to dress like a Tim Burton character lol 🐌

      I guess that you're a Dark Winter then. I'm also a Dark Winter and I borrow some colors from Dark Autumn.

    Hi! I've been following you for a a year or two for now and I must say I love your down-to-earth approach to style. It's more intuitive and free way to go about your clothing, which makes it much more fun, as it should be! I very rarely like to comment on any videos ever but today I'm feeling brave 💪
    I'm a little bit of a color enthusiast, so I can't help but to say my thoughts on that. I'm a textbook example of soft summer, and I myself recently got surprised that I can actually wear some of the soft autumn colors and get away with it without problem. As you said, they're sister seasons and sometimes very hard to differentiate from each other since they're both low on saturation.
    However there is one color I just can't get to work for me from the autumn palette: Orange. It is the ultimate villain for the summers and it just makes me look so visibly sick no matter the hue or intensity or whatever (though I can wear it far away from my face if I really really want to wear it).
    This is just my personal opinion based on my observations of me and other people, but I think if orange works for you (which I recall it probably does?), you are most likely autumn. But as said, sister seasons can steal colors from each other and it's *free real estate*. And as @shanathelittle already said, the Colour Analysis Studio channel is an interesting channel to check out on the color matter.
    Keep up the spirit and much strength on the moving-hassle or not-yet-moving-hassle! 💝 I'm on kinda the same situation right now and yeah, it is what it is.

    If you can wear olive you’re a Soft Autumn- if you can’t you’re probably a Soft Summer

    • @OutfitRepeater
      @OutfitRepeater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm perhaps 🤔 although I know a lot of people who can pull off olive regardless of undertone. Definitely something to look into

    Your journey sounds pretty similar to mine honestly. After months of going down the Kibbe rabbit hole I gave up. I'm probably a soft natural but discovering that didn't change much for me, the only helpful thing it did was help me feel like there's a reason Gamine lines look terrible on me even though I like them on others. Colour typing myself was a bit easier because I'm a textbook summer but I still can't figure out which summer and I decided I don't care. All the summer colours look better on me than any other colour season by miles (and I like them more). Sounds like your situation with soft summer vs. soft autumn is similar. 🐌

    🐌 Really interesting, thank you!
    Re colour, you might be someone who is better served by the tonal system, because it aims to find the most crucial aspect of colour for you personally. For me, it actually is cool undertone, but for you it might be softness, with the ability to wear cool but not cold, and warm but not hot.
    I think there must be ethereal in your mix, otherwise perhaps you wouldn’t want to wear some of the more fantasy based items.
    I found Kitchener much more helpful than Kibbe, probably because I radiate Ethereal and Natural essences so much that people respond to them - even if I am feeling very shy and don’t want to engage 😂😉

    • @OutfitRepeater
      @OutfitRepeater  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha I agree, I think Kitchener’s approach works better for me too, over Kibbe

    I loved this video so much, thank you! 🐌
    This is so much fun that I leave here my answers, I hope other will do that too :)
    I have a similar Kibbe story I'm an SC according to others but I like to play with SG lines. I thought of myself as SG, but got SC many times, that I settled on it.
    In the fruit system I'm an hourglass by measurements. Maybe I lean towards inverted triangle, because my shoulder is my widest point. My hips are even with my shoulders on paper, but my hips go to the side and the back, but my shoulders only have width... how should this system work in real life?? 🙄
    I love Gabrielle Arruda's Essence videos, give it a go if the topic interests you. My main 3 are Classic (~40%), Ingenue(~40%), Natural (~20%) in that order. I see how my softness vs. your sharpness only changed the Gamine to Ingenue in my case. I love your explanation, the Ingenue essence is in fact in line with why I like SG lines.
    My style quadrant is Right Down or Moonstone key in the new format.
    I also think that I'm between Soft autumn and Soft summer and before that I would have say Soft autumn. I love the videos of the Colour Analysis Studio ladies here on TH-cam, they are fairly new, and now I understand why draping is the way to find your season. They also say that jewellery is so tiny that it's not a big deal, but if you can pull off a gold dress versus a silver dress than you've warm undertone. My preference would be rose gold if I had to choose a top in metallics, it would look the best, so I guess I'm slightly warm leaning.
    I didn't immersed myself into Zyla colour typing, if you get around it, share it with us. :)
    Yesss cottage core for me too, prairie chic, light academia and also what the internet calls french girl style.
    My 3 words are usually - timeless, feminine, understated. Based on your words it could be also light, feminine, simple (combining timeless and understated).
    Function is key! I'm also lacking around home and really casual but cute pieces, working on that.
    Maybe I would call this a style map (probably Gabrielle Arruda's term) because it shows a snapshot what are our style preferences and parameters are as we know it today.

    I started a bit of a style journey as well earlier this year and went through a phase of trying to figure out my colors, body type, etc, but then I just became frustrated, especially with colors. I'm pretty sure I'm some kind of winter, but then I also sometimes question if I might be a true summer? The only thing I really have taken away from it all is paying more attention to lines. I figured out I'm a flamboyant natural and I've found I feel and look best when my outfits have longer lines, less waist emphasis, also monochromatic outfits are great :D
