Kamal Haasan puts his heart and soul into films. Mohanlal is a perfect professional who does the most difficult of roles with so much ease. If I had to pick one, I would pick Mohanlal. Kamal prefers to throw emotions at the audience like he did in Papanasam and Unnaipol Uruvan, while Mohanlal is the master of subtle acting. I prefer subtle acting where the Audience needs to be intelligent enough to see and feel the emotions of character while he is trying to hide it or mask it. And in that regard, there is no actor in the world close to Mohanlal. My 3 best actors in India are Mohanlal, Mammooty and Kamal Haasan.

please understand the different components of acting skills before comparing both the actors: 1. Face reaction : spontaneously reacting to the situations through the face. I feel mohanlal has better face reaction compared to the kamalhasan as kamalhasan shows late reaction to the situation compared to mohanlal 2. Face expressions: How you change the face expressions through eyes, cheeks, etc. with respect to the situation. I think kamalhasan has good control towards face expressions compared to mohanlal as he shows different expressions to each scenes compared to lal 3. Body language.: the way how body parts especially walk style, hands posture comes to picture. In body language kamal hassan has better control thats why he is able to do different roles in a single movie. Lal has done less roles compared to kamalhassan in his movies 4. Dialogue delivery: In dialogue speech, I can always say mohanlal delivers better speech compared to kamalhassan as there is always a mismatch in the voice clarity in kamalhassan speech. 5. Dance: In dance, it always with kamahassan as he is a good dancer in baratham and folk dance but lal due to his fat body he may not match the dancing skill of kamalhassan 6. Character suitability: in character suitability both lal and kamal both admire to their characters accordingly they shape themselves so both are equal in that way. So based on above acting components you can compare between lal and kamal. So you can't say any of them as complete actor as complete actor means he should qualify atleast 5 components of above. Kamal Haasan puts his heart and soul into films. Mohanlal is a perfect professional who does the most difficult of roles with so much ease. If I had to pick one, I would pick Mohanlal. Kamal prefers to throw emotions at the audience like he did in Papanasam and Unnaipol Uruvan, while Mohanlal is the master of subtle acting. I prefer subtle acting where the Audience needs to be intelligent enough to see and feel the emotions of character while he is trying to hide it or mask it. And in that regard, there is no actor in the world close to Mohanlal. My 3 best actors in India are Mohanlal, Mammooty and Kamal Haasan.

please understand the different components of acting skills before comparing both the actors:
1. Face reaction : spontaneously reacting to the situations through the face. I feel mohanlal has better face reaction compared to the kamalhasan as kamalhasan shows late reaction to the situation compared to mohanlal
2. Face expressions: How you change the face expressions through eyes, cheeks, etc. with respect to the situation. I think kamalhasan has good control towards face expressions compared to mohanlal as he shows different expressions to each scenes compared to lal
3. Body language.: the way how body parts especially walk style, hands posture comes to picture.
In body language kamal hassan has better control thats why he is able to do different roles in a single movie. Lal has done less roles compared to kamalhassan in his movies
4. Dialogue delivery: In dialogue speech, I can always say mohanlal delivers better speech compared to kamalhassan as there is always a mismatch in the voice clarity in kamalhassan speech.
5. Dance: In dance, it always with kamahassan as he is a good dancer in baratham and folk dance but lal due to his fat body he may not match the dancing skill of kamalhassan
6. Character suitability: in character suitability both lal and kamal both admire to their characters accordingly they shape themselves so both are equal in that way.
So based on above acting components you can compare between lal and kamal. So you can't say any of them as complete actor as complete actor means he should qualify atleast 5 components of above. In that aspect, I can say tamil actor sivaji ganesan who qualifies 5 components except he is not having dancing skills. He is the complete actor in india

I accept that lal is good dancer based on the song situation but w.r.t professional dancing skill always kamal has better control towards his moves compared to lal. There are more movies for kamalhasan like sagara sangamam which went for national award just for his dancing skill.
