Sarah, your ideas and explanations are first rate! Thank you so much. I love working with leather, but I don’t like the idea of contributing to the beef industry. So, for the past several years I’ve bought leather goods from thrift stores. You’d be surprised at how much is available. I’ve purchased leather coats, skirts and pants, and recut them to make journal covers, small bags and a number of other things. This way I’m not adding to the demand for beef/leather, but I’m still able to use leather to make beautiful items. I know there’s tons of controversy over this topic, and there’s no way to please everyone, but we all have to find our own comfort level. I don’t fault you at all for purchasing new leather - I’m just offering an alternative that may work for you. Thanks again! ❤
Thanks so much, this is a wonderful idea and something I also love to do, I always keep things to turn it to something else one day, creating a bit too much ‘junk’ in my craft room sometimes though, but then I always seem to be able to put my hand on something when I think of a project idea. I love that you use leather in this way, I was very torn about this video, so I really value your suggestions to everyone here, thank you, have a fab week ahead 😊❤️
hopefully inspired to try something, breaking it all down makes it seem so much more simple and so many really basic projects could be made too, I'm on the hunt for some more leather scraps, thank you

Beautiful! I made my brother a catch all tray that turns into a billfold out of pleather. It was so much work, but so much fun. I think I will have to remake it out of real leather for him some day. It's nice but not as sturdy as it could be. You inspire me so much!

Everything is so beautiful. The bird is beautiful ( I’m bird crazy) and absolutely love the cow and the other key chains. 😊❤
Thank you so much Margaret, all of these were such fun and I’m always drawn to designs of birds too 🐦⭐️
