Some other reviewers have mentioned that is better to buy the xbox versions vs the PS5, but no one has explained how the connection works on the PS5 using the Xbox version.
Any update to this?
Just switch to usb,the Xbox version has a chip that lets it work with Xbox but the ps version doesn't have the chip.
But the back of the Xbox deck has Xbox port labeled Xbox and then another usb c port for pc an ps.
Same here I’m trying to find the answer to this because I have a ps5, but I also have a Xbox and I don’t know if the wireless works for both if I were to get the Xbox version instead of the ps5
@@tyrenyazzie6338 buy the Xbox version! I bought it and it works perfectly on both consoles. If you buy the PS5 version it wont work for the Xbox.

WTF? 1:43 I was afraid of this, watching a video with a bunch of unnecessary information and when the important thing comes up "Swap out thedacks" WTF? What are thedacks? You mean the ducks? OMG 1:54 "its all re-um-pearing them" its all about reappearing them? did they disappear? Or Repairing them? Did they break? or re-paring blue tooth?
I just buy the playstation one thinking is gonna connecte ....It will not buy xbox one tomorrow
So what a viewer. in the situation that you guys portray if you were someone that only had a computer when you buy the PC PlayStation one because you only have a computer is the answer to the question that seemed to not be said here. Like does the pc playstation version of the headset work better with a pc than the Xbox version? That. should have been more illustrated here that. is the reason why I chose to watch your video and I still do not have the answer to my question.

I got the Xbox version, because i wanted a headset that works for all. BUT, Is there a sound difference between the PS5 and the XBOX when you play on the PC? And Is there a sound difference if you play the XBOX version on a PS5 than you play a PS5 version on a PS5?

A:Yes it will work, but you won't get the full benefits of sonar and the quality is reduced.
I'm not owning a console rn but pc player planing to buy pc version but I was curious about xbox version I read some reddit threads about and the xbox will not fully work with sonar

If you want to connect a pc and a mac, you have to buy the ps5 version. If you never gonna need xbox, buy the ps5 version basically because one channel can only connect to xbox.

I plan to have a monitor with 2 x HDMI 2.1 ports hooked up to a PS5 and Xbox X. Basically you're saying the XBOX version of the headset will allow me to use one headset for both the consoles in this setup?
Buy Xbox if u have both consoles or it won’t work on Xbox if u have ps version
i don't have an xbox and not planning on buying one but should i buy the xbox version just to cover my bases or does the PS version do something special with the ps5 3D audio? primary a PC gamer btw
I think the PS version you can use both usb ports for PC, Mac, PS and Switch whereas the Xbox version you can only use one port as the other one is just for Xbox, as I tried to connect both my PS5 and PC and only the input labelled usb was outputting sound. So if you don't use an Xbox just buy the ps version.
The Xbox port WILL work on pc but the Chatmix dial on the base station won’t work you’ll have to use the sonar app on pc for that. That and the bitrate is technically lower but people say they can’t tell the difference. Besides pc the xbox port can’t be used for anything else afaik
I had ordered the Nove pro wireless xbox version myself before and returned them cause that part in the ear, ended up ordering the Nova 7X wireless and got those they were super loose fitting compared to the Nova Pro's. So just tonight decided to order another pair of the Nova Pro's wireless xbox version cause I have PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, iPhone 14 Pro Max, also going to be using them with my 3080Ti gaming PC and after trying out the Nova 7X wireless headset realized how much better the Nova Pro's are. You also earned a subscriber to your channel as well. I was looking to build a channel also maybe we could all work together to make some content for gaming on whichever system you guys would like to do....
Actually i played 8 hours with one batt then ate dinner with no shut offs then chilled with music on mobile through nova wireless till i slept for 7 hrs and woke up next morning with still 2 bars
Thank you for making this review! You guys went more in depth with obscure details than all of the other review videos. My only suggestion would be to have static closeup shots of the product itself.
I picked up the Xbox version, Love the headset so far. The sound quality is amazing on them, I love that I can have one dac connected to my Series X and PS5. I wish they would sell the dacs separately as well.
Confused, so I have a ps5 and Xbox. So if I get the Xbox version I can use for both. But if I just get the ps5 version I can’t use with Xbox?
Pretty much the ps5 version has 2 basic usb C ports that way you can listen to pc an ps5 at same time, but the Xbox version works with both ps an xb

I just bought the PC/PS version because it was $100 cheaper than the Xbox version. On this black friday.
Im never gonna own a console. Is there any difference in performance or the looks? Because I have seen some pictures of a pair with some grey camo patterns on the earcups and I really do not hope its the Playstation version. Can u tell me before I get the package home and open it :)
I just started gaming on PC and all my friends are still on PS5 and refuse to use discord. Im trying to figure out if i Should get the xbox version or the playstation version if im trying to use the playstation party chat (from either my phone or the PS5) and hear to the PC gameplay audio at the same time

Eyyy are you able to help me troubleshoot the wireless nova pro with sonar and wave link integration where i am able to use stream mic (external) as a mobile phone mic for in game chat? Even describing it is complicating 😅. Anyways i stream mobile game (android) via elgato hd60s to pc obs.
Teamates always shit on me for a crappy internal phone mic on chat as I cant seem to find a way to route stream mic and use it as my phone mic too with all the audio processing with it. Sorry if ever its unclear. 😅

Can we plug a PS5 or PC in the xbox usb dedicated port ? What i'm wondering is if I can use the xbox version to plug a PC and PS5 in the DAC.

@@USAMarine81if your purchase the XBOX version it has two ports. One port is dedicated for the the Xbox and the 2nd port is and can be used for PS, PC, and Switch.

Hi, I hope you can answer this question for me. I just got this headset as a gift for my birthday (The Xbox version). I do not own an Xbox but do own a PS5. Does the Xbox port on the back of the deck/hub work on the PS5? I'm asking this so I can both connect my ps5 and pc simultaneously.

The Xbox port works on the pc but the pc will refer to it as an Xbox headset (which is whatever who cares) but you won’t be able to adjust the chat mix on the Dac/base station you’ll have to use the Steelseries sonar app on pc whereas with the usb port you’re able to do it via the dac on both pc and ps5. Also the audio is supposedly at a lower bitrate with the Xbox port on pc but people say they can’t tell the difference anyways.
Tldr the pc/ps5 would be slightly better for OP if they know they’ll never get an Xbox but for the dude who commented yes you definitely need the XBOX version cuz that’s the only version that will work with it
