  • I tried something a little different today by shooting at 85% speed to see if I can consistently plug Alphas on different target sizes at 7y. I did it for 150 rounds before going back to pushing (95-100%) speed with bill drills/doubles with the last 50 rounds.
Overall, I was satisfied with today's practice because my cold start run was exactly what I'd want in a match. But more importantly, I felt like I could dial it up or down from 85% speed (match speed) to 95% speed (training to gain new skills) on demand. During Area 4, it took me some time to readjust from going 95% back down to 85%, after which I saw a lot of success.
I want my match performance to be much more consistent, with no lapses in vision (i.e. in this case, Area 4 showed me that I need to be more consistent at shot calling and always aiming small).
Ps. This gun rocks. Runs flawlessly with factory ammo-not so flawlessly with S____ ammo :(.

yeah, I def need to speed up. I was trying to get all Alphas that day. Even going this slow I couldn't :). I am really struggling with my shot calling lately. regarding my light strikes...everything goes boom if I use Blazer or Federal ammo! Supervel is hit or miss.

Good to know. All I have left as far as primers go is the cci’s. And that’s hit and miss…. gonna have to try the factory ammo

Do you like the tanfo more than the cz ?

I'm not sure if it's the gun or how it fits into my hands, but that second shot is generally significantly easier to get back to the original point of aim. The trigger isn't as nice as the CZ, but I don't see a performance difference during live fire tbh. I've got a wrist injury recently, so I haven't been able to give it a proper recoil management test, but I'm hoping to in several weeks.
