The Duality Dungeon was just released in Destiny 2 and it has some awesome loot to grind for: Lingering Dread, New Purpose, Stormchaser, Unforgiven, Fixed Odds, Epicurean, and the new exotic sword, Heartshadow. In this video, I go over how to solo Duality dungeon and I share some tips to help you stay alive and complete a solo flawless Duality dungeon. Completing the dungeon has a chance to drop the exotic Heartshadow sword. Beating this solo without dying will award you the "untouched by opulence" emblem which looks awesome and increase the chances of you getting the Heartshadow exotic sword. This is a real challenge but as we level up throughout the season it should get much easier. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment down below!

How in the hell do you guys do so much damage?? I'm on the first and I'm using lament and I'm doing like 1/8th of his health. Did they nerf the sword? I was over an hour and had him a little less than half and I went to the wrong bell so rip. It's not hard it's just I can't do much damage.
For nighmare of gahlran theres a trick to extend the damage phase timer, basically:
Kill both standard bearers but only pick one of the standards (The second one wont despawn but the psion will spawn again)
Proceed with the one standard you did pick up and go into nightmare realm to kill gahlran shades of the corresponding side
After killing all shades kill the bell keepers and then go pick up the other standard that you left before, BUT NOT KILL THE PSION
Then again place the standard and go into the nightmare realm to kill the shades of the remaining side to start damage phase, HOWEVER, among the shades the psion that you left alive will be there, so while killing the shades kill him and enjoy +15 seconds of damage
This allows for pretty easy 1-phases

What weapons are you using to 1 phase solo?
@@DMBlade4 Back when I posted this comment I was using mini hammer together with syntoceps, tractor cannon and a glaive to have the extra time for unstable essence thanks to the artifact mod, it used to hit for around 221k each hammer so if you were fast and used the trick above it would be easy on Titan.
Now that there nerfed hammers i use a linear fusion rifle with 4th time the charm (preferably cataclysmic fue to it being solar), with high energy fire and elemental armaments, basically get charged with light and elemental armaments from killing a cabal nearby with the mini hammer and your LinFus will be able to do the trick, also if you're using a legendary LinFus you can also use either hoard for free damage
Ive tried this solo a few times, this strategy definitely the one to go for!
But got tired when in nightmare i got sent flying into walls and died, over and over and over again... Never got killed by any adds etc, just sent flying over half the map and....last dmg phase on first boss and **boink** wall, restart.. SO ANNOYING!

i had a run where the bell just wouldn't work. i kept shooting it with like 20 seconds left and it didn't work until after i was dead.
Had bellkeepers not spawn in the 2nd encounter
I hate this freaking game now after playing this dungeon,lol it went from my favorite game to cough cough play what, hey stop inviting me will ya, lol..Ellen ring is what I play knowing it’s meant to kick my butt, not a loot shooting farming game like destiny..

Tip for people looking to do this on titan, datto's hammer build he made a video recently on works wonders for this. you pretty much have inviciblity as long as you kill things with your hammer and with roaring flames x3 which you should pretty much always have, you can one shot bellkeepers and take out other majors really easily without using ammo. Max resilience also helps alot with its 40% damage reduction.

Thank you so much for this! I just spent half an hour on the first boss, going in and out of the nightmare area, without knowing that I had to go into the side room and THEN shoot the bell! I've been trying to do it solo blind, but my smooth brain couldn't work that one out haha.
Btw I'm using a glaive (with heals on kills) and lament, combined with infinite invis hunter. The glaive is particularly useful, wiping out groups of ads with melee hits. It also makes quick work of the galran clones. This setup means you can navigate the encounter with relative ease.

If you’ve only solo flawlessed grasp, you’re not ready for this one. Grasp is by far easiest.
Tbh… This is easy on titan with the tank build, on my first run i reached to caital i got stomped at the damage phase and flew off the map.
Tldr:it is really ez on titan (imo)
The one thing I don't like about this dungeon is how much health the bosses have for a solo run, its ridiculous, I've done many damage phases on ghalran solo and never got close to doing a third of his health in one phase. Every boss is like the final boss of grasp, just takes well too bloody long.

@@randomgamer4458 well I’ve only ever tried to do grasp bruh, but I ended up getting solo flawless duality so speak for yourself gamer. It’s honestly not that bad. It just takes a long time and there’s a lot of stupid stuff that will kill you. I was running triple 100’s res, recov, discipline. Karnstien armlets for quick health. Swapped over to double fusion nades witherhoard for dps.
I was just aiming to solo for the drop rate increase, gave up after losing to Caiatl several times one day, and solo flawlessed the next, love this dungeon but wow it's hard

If you want to be a tank for solo duality, the seasonal mod classy restoration is broken

@@Orph1s I run hammer titan with wormgods, lorelys is currently unnecessary when classy restoration exists
@@SandmanCater yeah, but it just makes it even tankier. So much fun, I can afk through the boss fight and still clear mobs.

Fun fact for anyone who's willing to farm crucible, the new riptide fusion rifle can roll with chill clip, this is great for killing majors and groups of adds alike so I suggest picking it up.

That's what I use auto loading holster and chill clip, 2 hit kills pretty much everything major, if it wont die, like say champions in lost sectors or nightfalls, they will be frezen and can't move. It's amazing.
@@karri-sebastiancalitu4306 I use the one from gambit since ifs solar too and it has tresh and autoloading but I only shoot one beam of it so I can use invisibility with the warlock too. It helped me survive longer

If you are struggling you can use starfire protocol warlock even if it is from collections you get infinite nades and youre nades heal you
4:03 this is just me personally but i've found that swords work especially well against these guys. two tap with the sword i use

Is there any other good loadout for the boss encounter except for sleeper or lament? Sleeper doesnt look like the best pick and im not the biggest fan of lament due to it being somewhat tricky to use
If you have a method of instant reload you could try Izanagi's Burden, Forth horseman, or One Thousand Voices - probably not quite as optimal, but damage is damage. Heck, if you're find doing more cycles, you could even use a basic legendary rocket launcher. There are no hard damage checks.
Really, I found ad clear to be the quite important, so things like ace of spades or sunshot (or if on stasis, Ager's Scepter) can be of great help. Scepter has the bonus of its catalyst giving you an alternate stasis-ult in a way.
@@naonna1 yeah but I wouldn't recommend rockets for this, a lot of the time the boss is up close and personal and rocket will easily get you killed

I got my first drop of the new linear fusion Stormchaser and it rolled with Clown Cartridge and Firing Line, so I've been using that to DPS pretty much everything. It's nutty, though it's a lot better when you can pair it with someone who's rocking Divinity to extend the crit spot.
Just want to say be careful with where you make Caital stomp as there appears to be an issue with the magma packs and them not despwaning correctly and they can and will detonate and kill you and end your run
Happened to me multiple times. She stopped and sent one flying into my face and nuked me. So broken
This happened to me dealing with the bell keepers. What are the magma packs? Are they on the back of the cabal?

@@jayBird_29730 yeah it’s their backpack. They just sit on the ground all over the place after you kill them. You can shoot them on the ground to blow them up to prevent yourself from getting stomped by them
Naaah it's been ingame since Beta, survived through launch. Similar things can happen if you suppress an exploder thrall and don't precision kill it. Leaves behind it's explosive body.

Titans: For gahlran, put on sol invictus and roaring flames. Roaring Flames X3 one shots the ghalrans, and sol invictus keeps you alive and finishes off clustered enemies!

I’ve always played D2 for the story ever since release so I have no idea how to get anything you are talking about, but this dungeon looks too fun not to do
now this might be a dumb question but wouldn't you want to use void weapons or atleast 1 void weapon to mesh with the void subclass??
note: I've just recently returned to playing destiny and I'm only really fimiler with the solar system and the way it works when you are also using solar weapons.. and the super tiny bit I have used the void subclass I know that there were a couple of things that would give a boost with void weapons like volatile rounds
again I'm just looking for information and not trying to talk crap or anything like that lol

I’m trying to solo it and the first fight is rough it’s cake with people but solo is rough .
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong but I’m not doing as much damage as others are. In your footage you hit a nova bomb for around about 240- 300k damage. I did around about 120k damage. Is there a mod that I equip or do I need the unstable essence buff? I most likely need the unstable essence buff but it gets lowered to 7 seconds after I sometimes swap a weapon.
Yes, unstable essence was probably most of that difference. Unstable essence makes you do extra damage to any nightmare. Also make sure you're 1550+ or you'll be hit with a damage debuff (although marshix was 1540 so he also had a debuff).

Not to mention using the Voidwalker ranged melee weakens enemies. I’ve used that plenty of times before throwing a nova bomb or grenade

yeah, same thing with an emblem, but you also get an increased chance for the exotic to drop from all future runs

Would using max resilience with loreley and sunspots be fine instead of void?
void's invis is the best part of its element - it can be done on other elements, but invis is a good way to escape focus-fire and reposition. If you're chunky enough you can do fine too, but it's not a 'get out of jail free' card like invis is.
Yes my titan is so tanky plus the constant healing is a nice touch
Using witherhoard,any glaive and a machine gun on warlock with star fire protocol is unreal never have to worry about ammo either
I really need some pointers here lol . I’m a lvl 1590 I’m using void. When doing damage to the big ugly dude my nova bomb dose no damage to him at all . I used my sword like people say to do and it takes bearly any damages. Wth am I doing wrong? He is attackable after 3 siphons too wich is weird . Why not 4 ?

If you lag out of the dungeon solo does it still count if you re enter. Doesn’t need to be flawless just solo
A noob way to survive almost as good as titans is to use ember of torches, touch of flame, healing nade. Can pair that with classy restoration and noobs who are bad at keeping things 100% uptime (like me) now have 2 ways to become restorative x2.

Don't believe it's available at the moment, but if you have a main ingredient or similar fusion rifle you should be fine
You could also use null composure instead as well.

For solo flawless, it says to complete the encounters and not die. So what happens if you die outside the encounters, does it still count?
No it does not count. You need to complete the entirety of the dungeon without dying

Good guide, but one question, why are you killing the colossi? As far as I know you don't have to kill them. They are annoying as hell yeah but I wouldn't waste time on them tbh.
Killing them is not necessary at all… however, they cause my team to wipe once, while at the bell teleporting out. This was on what would have been our final damage phase. So, I think he’s just saying… if your shoot the bell from the right position, you can spawn kill the colossus and that’s one less thing to worry about.
I'm not even oh, I just need to know what weapons I can get from the first encounter, and how to complete the first encounter.

Ah, so my high res warlock is finally useful
I still argue the only hard parts about this dungeon are the bell glitch randomly killing you through no fault of your own and the exploding jet packs the bell keepers drop during Caital dmg because one sniper grenade/shot or a boss stomp will set them off and that’s a pretty much guaranteed physics death (easily avoidable since you can shoot them after killing the 6 but missing 1 can wipe you.
Don’t get me wrong it’s probably the hardest dungeon but the void/solar 3.0 + res changes make survival such a joke that adds aren’t a threat even in master.

Hello as a player getting into destiny now i was told to buy legacy collection which includes shadowkeep,forsaken and beyong light as well as witch queen but i am confused as to what the extra dungeons actually are and the 30th anniversary is that another dlc?
i also advise picking up that bundle of shadowkeep, forsaken & beyond,& grabbing defo grab witchqueen, you get a forsaken cypher to unlock 3 exotic weapons straight away, anyway..
the 30th dlc is a separate small contained dlc, it has a basic pve activity you can do with random players that is fun & you get some armor, weapons & exotic quest.
30th dlc is not needed story wise but does give you some unique stuff to farm for, but if you are buying the other stuff you mentioned i would hold out on buying 30th unless you WANT the specific gear from the dlc.
edit : shadow keep has a moon dungeon included, the 30th dlc has a dungeon included, then this current season has a dungeon ( the one in this vid)

They really need to tone down how many enemies there are for solo players. There are just way too many in dungeons like this.

You have to go talk to Hawthorne first then if she gives you the quest the dungeon will appear in the mouth of the leviathan

you can only get access to the dungeon by buying the dungeon key for 2000 silver or buying with queen deluxe edition. it doesn't come with the season pass

@@YoHester I haven't done a raid either but if you can complete GM's, you can do a dungeon. Just watch a few TH-cam guides and the symbols won't be too tricky. Good luck!

soloing final encounter is impossible
There is so many videos about doing dungeons solo, that in my opinion there should be easier option to do them solo, and also a way to do raids without a communication.

I hate this I mean so much I quit playing destiny after trying for two days,in fact I’ve not played since the 3rd day of this season, quitting a level 9 lol…and I’m a guy who normally gets to level 350-500 per season, lol..I just said screw the aggravation I’m gonna get this much I might as well go play Elden ring and that’s where I’ve been for two weeks, now, I came back to destiny just to get some xur loot, lol..I hate it when it’s freaking confusing to the point that it over shadows how difficult it can be, why not make it one or the other, come on, this is meant to be a shooter ,which forces you to loot and farm to play, not be such a PIA it’s unenjoyable..
