Destiny 2: The Solo Flawless Duality Dungeon Guide (All Classes)

  • Solo Flawless Duality is probably the hardest solo dungeon to date, rivaling, if not beating out Prophecy for the title. This is a solo you're definitely going to want to get done during Season of the Haunted because of Classy Restoration. HOWEVER, if you are watching this after Season of the Haunted is over, you are in luck, as Titan does not rely on seasonal artifact mods whatsoever.
Introduction / Why Titan is Best - 0:00
    First Encounter - 2:58
    Second Encounter - 13:22
    Final Encounter - 17:19
    Loadouts used:
First Encounter Titan: SMG, Glaive (Glaive of Dreams mod), Tractor Cannon
First Encounter Warlock: Deliverance Fusion Rifle, SMG, Anarchy
First Encounter Hunter: SMG, Null Composure, The Lament
Second Encounter Titan: Deliverance Fusion Rifle, SMG, Cataclysmic (you're gonna be doing most of your damage via hammers, minus the bosses)
Second Encounter Warlock: Sniper, Riskrunner, Cataclysmic
Second Encounter Hunter: Huckleberry, Null COmposure, Cataclysmic
Final Encounter Everyone: Witherhoard, SMG (Calus Mini-Tool), Cataclysmic w/ FTTC and Bait and Switch
All of these loadouts are flexible, just because I used it doesn't mean it is the defacto best loadout to use.

for people running warlock, just remember that getting hit by the colossus’ slow missiles removes your restoration, so if you pop a rift, get hit by missiles then die instantly, that’s why

    What worked for me.
1st Boss - The extra Psion Strat works perfectly fine. When I killed the 2 during the first run through, i pick 1 symbol up, and remember the second by coming back to the normal realm, and typing it in chat. It is that symbol, from that exact room, that you need to dunk. You are Solo, so no one around to care how you get it or remember it. The Psion will spawn, and you'll have a symbol. Don't kill Psion and use it during Gahlran Nightmare run to extend timer. Hell, even picking up a wrong symbol come rotation 2 or 3 will work, since you can just go and dunk it. The door just won't open. To and fro from the nightmare realm should become second habit to you. It's fine to optimize, but staying alive and fighting should be priority.
Note: Warlocks pop your well on top of the two small walls in the center of the arena. Boss cannot push you around, and the extra adds won't overwhelm you.
2nd Encounter : Use Eriana's / Arbalest / Wave Frame to kill Shielded Cabal easily (One shot to head by the two exotics). Use a Machine Gun as heavy for easy Bellkeepers + Collosus kills. Easy to get overwhelmed. So add clear is prio. Boss dmg is just as long as you want to take, they don't immune back up, so take your time.
Caital: Arbalest / Lorentz is the play for bellkeepers. They 1 shot the backpacks, ensuring you kill the bellkeepers quickly, and not have to deal with fallen packs exploding. During Caital DPS start, Arby / Lorentz 1 shots again. Move to the middle when shooting the chains. Kill the middle 2 as caital spawns, then work where she is going and kill there. Again, just 2 bullets with extremely heavy aim assist or Arby and Lorentz come in clutch. If you have the Dungeon LFR, just use that to DPS or good old threaded needle. Don't fiddle around trying to proc Bait and Switch during an already overwhelming stage. Use special LFR for snipers, and Heavy LFR for DPS. Keep it as simple as you can. Witherhoard helps, but 1 shotting bellkeepers from anywhere instantly and ensuring no pack falling is too good to leave behind. Most important, take your time, if you miss a bell or DPS, it's fine. TAKE YOUR TIME. You are SOLO. No one to backseat or rush you. Play it safe, play it consistent. Take 10 phases who cares. A W is a W.

Caiatl stomping the backpacks killed me the most out of anything in my run. I ended up using Null Composure as my energy weapon (paired with witherhoard) because a reservoir burst shot from Null will one shot the flamethrowers and disintegrate them.
In the second encounter, I used a wave frame as my energy weapon to kill the shielded cabal easily.

Still working on my solo flawless, but a tip that helped me go through the solo itself: on the secound encounter, don't be afraid to burn your super while in the Nightmare Realm. The bosses are much weaker than you would expect, and knowing you can use your super to just wipe the Bellkeepers clean when low on time is quite a relief. The same goes for heavy ammo, if you prefer to deal damage with your super, and I would say the same extends to the other fights. You have essentialy unlimited time on the normal realm to get your super and ammo back, and plenty of enemies to kill. Don't let the run go down the drain because you were too afraid to burn something to get out of the Nightmare Realm on time. On the worst case, better to do one more damage phase than to die.

Nothing is more frustrating in this dungeon then dying via getting flung into a wall in this dungeon. Most of my runs were cut short due to bellkeepers flinging me into a wall or up into the air. Would totally recommend wave frame GLs or fusion rifles for the bellkeepers during Caiatl, as their backpacks disintegrate, while killing them with a hammer leaves them on the floor. Otherwise, try to shoot the packs on the ground when you have spare time in the nightmare realm when collecting standards, since any on the floor during that part will remain there during damage phase. Hammers from your super also disintegrate backpacks, so could be a good idea to pop super for those 6 incendiors at the start of DPS so you don't have to worry about her stomping and one shotting you :)

Just a quick couple of tips for the anyone tackling the second encounter, regarding the bearer layout. Dog and axe will be around the upstairs bell, Cup and Sun will be the ground bell. There are easy to read maps posted on Google for all 3 encounters.
But just so you can get a good bearing in your head, dog is on the left side, axe is on the right. *swing around* SUN will be on the right, and CUP on the left.

  • @FormerlyValk
    @FormerlyValk ปีที่แล้ว +42

Regarding the soft lock in the first encounter:
This is completely avoidable as long as you keep track of which standards are usable. During the first run through the nightmare realm, *always* kill two psions, and *only* ever pick up a standard from a psion that you killed that run. On the second time through, *only* pick up the standard from the psion that you killed on the previous run. During damage, always find and kill the psion, and *do not* pick up the standard that it drops.
The soft lock occurs when you pick up a standard that was spawned by a psion that you killed during damage phase. I practiced and completed a solo flawless on hunter (about 10 hours) using this strat and wasn’t softlocked once, so I’m certain that it’s consistent.

I have finished this solo and am working on my solo flawless run. I use titan, with Lorelei's for maximum survivability. As a note, if you combine Lorelei's with the classy restoration mod, when you drop your barricade, the duration of the x2 Restoration is a few seconds longer! I had people telling me running both didn't add anything, but it does increase the duration of x2 resto, it's worth it! The emergency sunspot/x2 resto drop on critical health has saved me several times too.
For loadouts, on all encounters, I use Witherhoard, Calus Mini Tool with Incandescent, and Crownsplitter. Crownsplitter does a ton of damage with the Lucent Blade mod. I can 3 phase Gahlran in the first encounter. I get in, throw a hammer at him to become radiant, drop a rally barricade to get resto x2 AND scorch him and start swinging Crownsplitter. I had originally shot off a Witherhoard, then started swinging with Crownsplitter, but I end up losing a valuable swing with the sword and found I could put out more damage by just focusing on going in with the sword. I drop the rally barricade (I use rally for the shorter cooldown, and I can use it as cover for the increased range, stability, and reload speed when I need to) for the x2 resto instead of waiting for the proc from taking damage with Loreleis because the x2 resto lasts longer if you cast barricade, and is substantially shorter if you wait for the crit health proc.
I use a charged with light build, harmonic siphon to create orbs, lucent blade, and a few of the solar mods that increase the number of charges of light you can have (I can't remember the name off the top of my head).
With this build I find my only deaths are ever to "misadventure" or "killed by the architects". I don't normally have an issue with the nightmare realm timers. My deaths are usually solely to getting shield bonked by a phalanx or to bell guard flamethrower packs on the ground getting detonated by Ciaitl.
I think for Ciaitl, I am going to try switching out my sword for Stormchaser (i got lucky and got one with auto loading and frenzy), and after ringing the bell, dropping a rally barricade and just unloading on her. The sword gets dangerous on her if she manages a stomp that detonates a pack I missed. I have had SO many deaths to misadventure because of that.

I think for warlock, you're best off using either a glaive or a wave frame depending on the encounter. If you're using starfire protocol your grenades are your DPS weapon (with anarchy or witherhoard). You can realistically avoid a lot of the ads, so a primary weapon isnt really needed a good chunk of the time. Meaning you can pair them a sniper like succession to take out bell keepers

As someone who wanted to do the solo flawless without looking up any strats online and after 2 maning it the first time completely blind...I have to say, this dungeon is way beyond more difficult than all the others solo. The things that got me through the soulcrushing experience of solo flawless was xeno and riptide with chill clip at caiatl. If I hadn't tried those weapons at that point idk if I'd have done it. It makes the fight long but way safer in my opinion than anything else. Being able to never have a backpack drop on the floor no matter what I use was the thing that saved me countless deaths.

for warlocks; on Ghalran use starfire protocol with witherhoard and a glaive, do a couple glaive swings, direct impact with wither, chuck fusion nades every time its fully charged at the boss, but using witherhoard/glaive combo ensures you have fusion nades constantly which is your highest output for damage, make sure you are ALWAYS IN A WELL/EMPOWERING RIFT WHEN USING NADES, i suggest this strat because it let me kill ghalran in 3 cycles
for final boss id suggest the prior combo but instead of a glaive use a linear, pair it with a good ad clear secondary, a bait and switch linear is brilliant solo, but something like a triple tap/ fourth times vorpal weapon linear will be perfectly fine for dps on caiatl

If you have a spare bell, you can use one to teleport to the nightmare realm early instead of waiting for caiatl to do it for you. You get extra time to kill bellkeepers early. I liked popping hammers, hitting the chain, hitting the bell, and start chucking at bellkeepers. If you do this, be careful not to accidently throw hammers to close to the bell, ignitions and late exploding hammers will trigger that bell if the bell keepers die before your hammer is done exploding. It will waste a phase

Bell keepers do NOT respawn in final encounter if you do not shoot the middle bell, very helpful.

Another tip that helped a lot for myself for bell keepers right before final boss dps for titans - pop hammers right when she teleports. Defeat middle ones and watch her move to whatever side while throwing hammers at other bell keepers. A hammer super throw can start bell stun. It saved me time instead of lining up shots/regular hammer throw at bell keepers and took care of them without much movement.

From my own experience and research from using starfire protocol fusion grenades. Weaving grenades along with linear shots do absurd amounts of damage, I don't have exact numbers but when i tested my threaded needle with vorpal on ogre boss in grasp, weaving put out around 1.6 million damage. Now i'm sure with bait and switch on a cataclysmic it could easily push well over 1.8 - 2 mil. (Roughly 2 phasing ogre boss)
The other thing to take into consideration is how much damage ignition + touch of flame fusions are actually doing. It may not appear like they're doing much but in reality it's multiple numbers proc'ing at once to add up to a bigger number.
Still though, great discussion and video datto. You deserve the world

Heyo, since you asked I may as well talk about what I did for this stuff as a Warlock main with ALMOST 0 seasonal mods (this was mostly on accident since I did it so early that I just hadn't bothered to unlock Classy Resto). I did use 2x Armor of the Dying Star, but honestly Concussive Resist 2x or Concussive/Solar resist should be a suitable replacement. I basically used the exact setup that Saltagreppo used for his solo flawless so you can check that out if you just want the link.
I ran with a Starfire protocol setup, similar to the one Datto outlined in his video, with the aspects Touch of Flame (grenade booster) and **Icarus Dash**. I found that Icarus Dash's mobility and speed vastly improved me survivability and let me get in and out of the nightmare realm a lot easier. For fragments, the main one I used was Ember of Ashes to make my grenades apply more scorched and cause ignite explosions quicker. Everything else was secondary and pretty bad tbh, so feel free to experiment here. I also used Well to keep me alive and act as an emergency rift if I couldn't get another one between bell rings in the Caiatl damage phases. It's also a good panic super to keep yourself alive if you get hit my Colossus missiles and need a breather. You aren't limited on time basically anytwhere, so you can always get another well before DPS.
For weapons, I ran with Witherhoard, Salvager's Salvo, and an LMG (specifically the Seventh Seraph SAW, but just about any Adaptive/Aggressive frame should work) throughout the entire dungeon. Witherhoard and Salvo ensured I could pump out DPS with the Witherhoard constantly ticking Starfire and Salvager's having Demolitionist which comboed with all the nades I threw. Though, in hindsight, I would probably recommend Lament for the first encounter, since it was the one that killed me the most. Use that LMG to kill long range targets like the standard bearers in Caiatl and the bellkeepers while popping their explosive barrels. Use Witherhoard for add clear.
The main meat of this was all survivability. Using Well of Life, Explosive Wellmaker, Seeking Wells, and Elemental Ordinance gave me a ton of wells to trigger the slight regen effect, which, combined with 100 resiliance, really made it quite hard for anything besides being knocked into a pit or physic-ed into a wall to kill me. Use a Grenade Launcher Ammo Finder and a Scavenger mod to ensure your special is always topped off, use 2x Armor of the Dying Sun (or 2x Concussive or Concussive/Solar if you prefer no seasonal mods) for survivability, use your specials and your fusion nades to kill adds, and bang, you too can solo-flawless this dungeon on like your 5th try.
    HOWEVER: BIG WARNING.
Bellkeepers are incendiors, meaning their backpacks stick around if you don't disintegrate them or blow them up while fighting. This is a big deal because those explosions are THE most likely thing to kill you. As it turns out, Caiatl's stomps will trigger those things if they're on the ground nearby, combined with the fact that boss stomps can still hit you into a wall for big damage, and you've got a really scary DPS phase, as well as making her stomps incredibly unpredictably deadly. Try to kill bellkeepers with explosions (Salvager's or Fusion Nades), and anytime you see those tanks on the ground, if you have time, take a second and a few LMG bullets to blow them up.
Beyond that, just be careful. Try a few solo attempts where you aren't bothering to flawless, then go in for the solo-flawless.

Sword witherhoard on first boss with star fire netted me a consistent 3-4 phase. For the Caiatl, I used wither, smg, and machine. The machine gun was insane at getting rid of bellkeepers on the fly from a distance while getting rid of backpacks. Fusion grenade strategy was a 4-5 phase on caiatl. While fusion can trigger bells, its something you have to learn of when to and when not to. Great challenge, frustrating at times, but pressure + endurance is there.

  • @unusualsalmon
    @unusualsalmon ปีที่แล้ว

For caiatl on a titan: if you are above 1570 your hammer will one shot a bell keeper with roaring flames x3 (like Datto said) however if you run Elemental charge/high energy fire/font of might/ and melee wellmaker you then get radiant+high energy+font EVERY time u kill something with ur hammer. This means that if you wait to kill the bellkeepers at each bell until its rime to actually dps from said bell you will do INSANE damage with cataclysmic. This does take practice to get down (mainly ensuring that u keep ur roaring flames x3 up for the entire time). I managed to very comfortably 2 phase the boss by doing this but ive seen players 1 phase her solo while using this. Its tough to get down the timing but well worth the trouble if you ask me

  • @bonefat21
    @bonefat21 ปีที่แล้ว

For Caiatl, on warlock, I use Witherhoard, Cartesian Coordinate, and a demolitionist/firefly Corrective Measure. Chain of Command with demo/adrenaline junkie would probably work great. If you're a cracked out bait and switch gamer, go for it. Arbalest is also quite nice for one-shot killing bellkeepers, but you are at the mercy of flinch. I usually kill one of the colossus in the nightmare realm to avoid the risk of slow canceling my restoration or making me fall. Get a few machine gun rounds in its head to stagger it, throw a fusion, and drop a rift. From there, I pick off the bellkeepers with my machine gun and grenades. For damage, this is important. Tag Caiatl with a Witherhoard before shooting the bell. The order of operations is as follows: stick Caiatl with Witherhoard > shoot bell > grenade > empowering rift > grenade > Witherhoard her feet > grenade. At this point, keep alternating grenades and Cartesian shots until you run out of time. If you have a charged melee with torches to become radiant, use that too. For the first stun, instead of weaving in the Cartesian shots, I would use my machine gun to clean up the remaining bellkeepers in between grenades. On the second bell, use your Well instead of a rift. If you have singeing, you should have your rift back for the third stun. If you execute properly, you can get a three-phase kill reliably. Be liberal with your machine gun ammo when killing ads, and farm some spawns in the normal realm if you run low. There are more damaging builds than this, but having a machine gun as a primary is wonderful for quickly and sloppily dispatching of bellkeepers.

  • @BenjaminHB
    @BenjaminHB ปีที่แล้ว

I had a lot of success with Deliverance + CALUS Mini-Tool + Lament on Solar Titan for Caiatl. Radiant + Deliverance 1-shots bell keepers. During the Caiatl fight, I did not kill a single bell keeper with anything except the fusion rifle. Those backpacks will end a run so so fast if you let them exist. Lament will protect you from snipers during DPS and let you bait stomps from Caiatl or exist near bell keepers without fear of being flung off the map. Was a pretty comfy 4-phase, but could have been 3 if I had gotten luckier with sword ammo drops. Make sure to throw hammer at Caiatl frequently to refresh Radiant, both to 1-shot bell keepers and to increase damage vs Caiatl. Because this lets you safely stay so close to Caiatl, you can get full damage from the first bell and comfortably kill bell keepers during her walk to the next bell. Added bonus of not needing to hit crits during a hectic boss phase.

    what i did for hunter
Galhran: Lament on 24/7, single shot tether, lucent blade. With the psion glitch (which i never got softlocked by) it was a very solid 3 phase, almost 2. Glacioclasm with resevior + slideshot works wonders, one shots galhrans & bellkeepers
Vault encounter: Rat king + eager edge & single shot tether until big guys spawned in, swapped to lament when they came in. Baited all the guys into a corner, slap the minibosses until dead with the never ending tether. Clear the room and deal boss dps at the same time. Wave frame GL fucks everything up in nightmare realm, trinary vision also works too but imo not as effective as your avg legendary waveframe.
Caital: same thing as galhran. Lament for boss DPS, Graviton Forefeit with 100 mobility and relatively high strength will can ensure you’re invisible 100% of the time, trappers ambush’ing every psion to death after using glacioclasm to 1 shot bells. SMG sniper psions in nightmare, glacio bells. DPS is nice as well, glacio the mid bellkeepers before she even spawns in. glacio the side she goes down, throw smoke to weaken her for the initial, DPS. second bell if its not mid, tether. This slows caital and weakens bellkeepers to be rendered immobile and cant boop you. tether lasts for enough time for me to use my lucent blade. Roughly a 3/4 phase.

  • @FormerlyValk
    @FormerlyValk ปีที่แล้ว

A couple of hunter-specific notes, since datto probably isn’t the best source for hunter content:
    - Assassin’s Cowl is a very good replacement for 10 resilience/classy restoration, and sans classy restoration it is the best survivability option that hunters have. I felt far more comfortable on knfe trick + assassin’s cowl than I did on tether for every encounter, although ymmv.
    - Non-precision knife trick kills on incendors will evaporate them without exploding them *and* won’t drop a backpack. However, if the target is killed via scorch or ignite instead of the melee itself, you won’t get the knife back or the invis.
    - Lucent Blade is currently bugged such that the damage buff is overridden by Radiant (a smaller buff) but it’s still worth using because of the increased sword recharge rate. You don’t even need to be charged with light for it to work
    - During all damage phases, your main focus should be keeping up classy restoration (this season obviously). Your healing grenade will refresh the x2 buff, getting a solar kill can refresh the x2 buff, so manage ad kills with solar weapons (such as lament!) during damage phases
    - Swords can cancel and reverse your momentum, so if you’re dying to physics deaths… just don’t
    - My loadout for both boss encounters was fusion rifle, mini tool (incandescent) and lament. For vault I used heritage, deafening whisper, and gjallarhorn

For the first encounter (on warlock) I used a Riptide with frenzy (which can one shot any shades of gahlran with unstable essense), a calus mini tool with unrelenting + incandescent (unrelenting just cuz my playstyle was very heavy on health and ability regen), and anarchy, basically what datto used except for the riptide. With that build I was able to 5-phase the boss.
For the second encounter, I used the same Riptide for situational stuff, the new Trespasser exotic sidearm which works great for add clear when the perk is procced, and cataclysmic, mainly for bellkeepers and the bosses. I haven't done the third encounter yet :/
For this whole experience, the most important thing I will recommend that minimizing risk is MUCH more important than maximizing damage. If you have to run and hide somewhere, do it, especially in the second encounter, those boss phases don't have a time limit, so I popped a well of radiance, did as much damage as I could with my fusion nades, and when the well ran out, I simply prepared for the next running phase and focused on killing the very numerous adds to stay alive, very quickly giving me a SECOND well of radiance to finish the boss off.
This dungeon isn't a race, at least not in the same way the others are; it's more of a marathon. The only timer to worry about is the nightmare timer, so spend as much time in the normal realm that you need before boss phases to grab ammo or to even switch weapons if you need it (though that may not be so feasible in the last encounter).

Using the time-save strategy with killing a psion before you go off to do damage I have cleared Ghalran solo in 4 damage phases (It is possible with 3 phases but I am not that perfect, far from it).
    Void Warlock
Aspects: Feed the void, Child of the old gods
    Fragments: Undermining, Instability, Expulsion, Obscurity
The debuff nade is very nice (with elemental ordenance, grenade kickstart, bomber, distribution mods to make sure you're never without your nade for long), instability and expulsion pair well giving you volatile rounds and all. Obscurity: Super nice if your warlock has less than T5 resilience. Chuck a nade on e.g a tight group of 5 ads, finisher one to go invis, pick up your well from another ad that dies and you'll have volatile rounds raring to go to clear anything left. Finisher also restores a bit of nade energy apparently.
Exotic armour: Nezerec's Sin. Use whatever you like but Abyssal Extractors is just 1 more thing on the long list of things to make my grenade come back faster.
    Guns
Witherhoard (for boss and bellkeepers), and with catalyst you never need to reload
Glaive: Literally any other ads and cause you need to be able to shoot the bells. Grave robber: Never need to reload. Frenzy, extra damage.
Falling Guillotine with Whirlwind blade, try to also have tempered edge. As a sword, also no time wasted on reloading.
Have ammo finders for both special weapons. Don't really need scavs, expecially since I got font of might going so I can't fit more than 1 scav anyway. I do also run charged with light (elemental charge) and High Energy Fire.
    Damage runs like this:
Kill bellkeepers, use nade to eliminate the peripheral Cabal, make it halfway to the bell and summon rift. Shoot boss with glaive when he nears you so the child latches on for debuff. Next, stick witherhoard, nade, super and start swinging sword (at least 7 hits + heavy whirlwind) before sticking witherhoard (and nade if you have it back already) again. Loop untill appx 10 seconds left or whatever time you desire as long as you can make it.
Alternatively you can omit using the rift at the start and use it halfway through once the nade has withered off. In the most perfect of contitions that can land you 1.7K a phase but it will be a bit less than that, hence a 4th phase.|
With the shades, witherhoard + glaive works. Takes 1.3 combos for first shade but then you get essence so after that it's always 1 glaive combo per shade.
Warlock is a glass canon and I knew devour always gave healing so despite the numerous amount of guides saying run starfire with classy and Well, I went and found a way to do it on void. I actually had to up resil from T3 to T5 just to make this happen + the already existing arc resist and melee resist mods present.

For the last encounter I can Highly recommend Arbalest, since it oneshots backpacks and is quite easy to use, and keeps you out of range of the big boops from the bellkeepers. Snipers also work but ime can only oneshot backpacks with a buff like radiant or HEF. My strat is that I would bonk a psion standardbrearer on the balcony, pop a rally barricade and the snipe all the bellkeepers I could with arbalest, then go to the second balcony to grab the standard then leave. I was using Stormchaser for damage, Arbalest is not great with bait and switch due to the setup.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that strategy, and I gotta say I might try it myself as it sounds like a good one.

For hunters, have 10 resil/10 mobility +utility kickstarter mods, that works better than 6th coyote, while you can have stompies or stareater boots for extra super damage with barrage. For second encounter, use golden gun or xenophage to clear rooms, the mini bosses die fairly quick so just have any decent heavy on, I had The Lament on. For Caialt encounter, The Lament is also a safe option and does well too killing the boss in 3 phases with the right mods on. Once you enter dps phase, just kill the middle bellkeepers then follow where the boss is going to move next, you can quickly see where he’s headed, then kill the bellkeepers, dps boss. Rinse and repeat. Once you’re more experienced, use linears for spicy damage.

In boss room bell keepers don’t respawn till all bells are used - as a reset of the bells. So don’t be afraid to kill them all immediately as the fight starts. Another thing that worked for me as a titan - because it is easier - I used my super to get rid of the bell keepers in the nightmare realm, during dps phase. Stood by middle bell, took those two asap, then the ones on either side - prioritizing the ones were boss was going. I feel weapons are your main source of dps. I second prioritizing your life, something will trip you up, better to reset then die.

Yeah I take out all bellkeepers immediately every cycle. They do not come back until all bells are used.

Idk if this was mentioned, but after you break the chain during the final encounter and you have a bell that's still available, shoot it immediately after. It will bring you in faster and give you more time to kill bellkeepers.
Please note that by doing this, the bellkeepers in the nightmare realm will take a second to appear on the bell you shot(i.e. you shot middle bell and the middle bellkeepers will appear 1-2 seconds later). This only happens when you go to dps caiatl.

    • @Technizor
      @Technizor ปีที่แล้ว

It also adds extra snipers, but it can save you a lot of DPS time because you can pop a roaming super (e.g. Hammer of Sol) and eliminate all of the bellkeepers ASAP to keep the damage phases clear for your Heavy weapon DPS.
The best sequence I've found on Solar Titan is:
Break chain -> Shoot middle bell from one of the sides -> pop super before the realm even swaps over
Then bean the bellkeepers on your current side, and walk over to the middle, killing the middle bellkeepers and taking a few potshots at the remaining side one, making sure to check which side Caiatl is walking to. If you are consistent, you'll be very likely to have no bellkeepers left after the super expires, or one bellkeeper on one of the sides left, at low health.
For Hunter: Golden Gun Deadshot. Same sequence as the titan, but much faster. Sure, you lose damage from not having blade barrage, but having 3 uninterrupted stuns per damage phase with Lament is already good enough to 3 phase.

Xenophage is something I would recommend for a safe clear on Caitl. It oneshots the bellkeepers and deals respectable damage. Often times I found I would have more than enough time running between bells during dps and had more than enough time when grabbing standard essences pre-dps thanks to being able to clear out the bellkeepers quickly and efficiently with Xenophage. Plus you don’t have to get close to the bellkeepers at all either. Best part is that it completely destroys the bellkeepers’ backpacks which means you don’t have to worry about dying to a random explosion when Caitl stomps the ground.

    • @Technizor

I used Succession (high impact sniper one-shots if you are Radiant) while killing Bellkeepers during the standard pickup sections, and then used the trick of breaking the chain and then hitting a bell immediately to get ahead of Caiatl to get rid of the 6 bellkeepers of the DPS phase. Hammer of Sol will expire just as Caiatl is about to get halfway to her first bell, and if you have well-placed shots, you can wipe at least 5 of them pretty reliably, and leave all of your heavy weapon ammo for DPS for the full stun periods.

For last boss I’d recommend the deliverance fusion rifle to kill the bell keeps. That way you vaporizer them and don’t have to worry about their backpacks blowing you up anytime during the fight. You can still two phase with just storm chaser and radiant.

Also some other fusions in the same slot if you don't have Deliverance, the Riptide from Crucible comes with some great rolls (and it drops a lot just from playing matches), and from Trials the Burden of Guilt with a Major damage mod will one shot them.

From a solo flawless, to not bug out the first encounter, kill both standard bearers when you enter the nightmare realm. Only pick up one standard though, the first one you kill, and leave the other. After planting the flag and running the gauntlet, come back and pick up that other flag without killing anything in that room. After planting that one and running the other gauntlet, the psion will spawn in your boss dps room. Do not pick up the standard that final psion drops. It will stay there and you can come back for it later after doing your next psion towards dps which will be a fresh spawn. Always do the old standard last.

I never tried running on titan, only warlock and hunter, since I’m usually very uncomfortable on titan. My advice is that if you *are* running warlock, second and third encounter are best done with voidlock devour imo. I tried starfire build against caital, and the extreme levels of explosions killed me too many times when compared to the survivability that invis+devour warlock provides.
For galrahn damage I ran starfire build with witherhoard and a sword. Was able to 3 phase usually but it’s pretty tight.
For caital, witherhoard and a linear fusion. Stormchaser allowed for a tight 2 phase in my experience, but a few missed crits can make it a 3 phase.

not sure if he's mentioned this as I'm only about 4 minutes in but RESILIENCE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STAT, GET THAT TO 100. with the changes in this season, resilience now gives damage reduction up to 40% at t10, about 30% at t9, 20% at t8 then 8%, so you want tier 8 at the minimum but you really should go for tier 10 if you can. I've solo flawlessed this dungeon and resilience makes this a LOT easier

For the second encounter, eriana works wonders if you try to kill the shield cabal. It has range and shoots trough shields and has auto reload with the catalyst

The most annoying thing that killed me during my attempts before my solo flawless run was just the phalanx shield physics interactions and Caiatls stomps combined with incendior backpacks oneshotting. Very fun interactions those.

Warlocks, for three phase use falling guillotine with whirlwind blade, witherhoard, and the star fire protocol fusion grenade build. With a good damage rotation u will plop your well down, tag galhran with witherhoard and go to town with guillotine and grenades. Once you get good at these cycles you will have have consistent 3 phrase, if your cracked then 2 phase is possible
Edit: I wasn’t using glaive of dreams at the time so it should be easier then when I did it, also use lucent blade

When soloing this on Titan, every time I got to Caiatl’s damage phase, I just popped my super every time it started. There are plenty of ads and a plenty of time for you to get your super back for the next damage phase, and it makes killing long distance bellkeepers easier, since a roaring flames x3 hammer will kill a bell keeper if it’s a direct hit. The last encounter very annoying, and yes I have grown to very much dislike being in that boss room. Good luck y’all

I was using a blinding GL (Pardon our Dust) with Tarrabah and Stormchaser on my warlock. As long as you have ravenous ready then you can melt the Galran's and the bellkeepers just as quickly as a heavy weapon without using any special or heavy ammo and no abilities whatsoever. Blinding nades for obvious reasons, Stormchaser for equally obvious reasons. If you can figure out a way to make Radiant stack with High-Energy Fire in the final boss room, it helps! If you run out of heavy and stuff, Tarrabah does decent enough damage to a boss with Ravenous Beast, and again it uses no special or heavy ammo. You could use Arbalest with Calus mini tool and Stormchaser as well, but I like Ravenous Beast better for these encounters. Well of Radiance with Fusion grenades for great single target damage, or Eye of Another World with Healing grenades for survivability.
