    You can't get into a constructive debate with Mutsvangwa, he's always right and you're wrong, it's always your fault and not his. According to him the 2nd Republic doesn't have any shortcomings. This is a very dangerous mindset.

    Tendai and Nigel are correct BUT they speak ideology. The reality of our country in its journey is very different. Consider russia and china. If you are gonna stand on ideology and wait for politics to change u are gonna wait forever in russia and china. What these guys need to do is to engage the government to make business work and after that works, the country will work, inspite of the ideological differences. The chinese are not waiting, russians arent waiting

    • @Tapiwa_Mesa
      @Tapiwa_Mesa 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Hey Jordan, I want to state that these guys don't need to engage the government. The gvt claims that it is competent and progressive with these very mindsets like Chris. Tendai was on the appex of the finance ministry 2009 - 13 we all know what his administration managed to do in that short space of time. Nigel is a tried and tested banker and mentor, he has practical knowledge of what needs to be done. Only one thing failed these two great minds, the government. The backbone of all our failures as a country is toxicity of our politics as Tendai mentioned, we all know the architects of our struggles. Dialogue is important i agree with you there, but gvt should be the driver of inclusiveness not the toxic politics that they unleash day in day out. We have great minds, resources but a few people have personalized those hence the need for better leadership.

      @jordanmapfumo9359 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Tapiwa_Mesa fine, my point is if anything should be done, if any effort should be applied, its not in changing the hearts and minds of government to a point where they step away from power, rather its in forcing them to apply principles that favour business.

    i think Mutsvangwa has a point, we need a shift of mindset as Zimbabweans, some of these established businesses too marinated by old British ways of doing things, unoti unoda bank statement to fund 60 million project asking that from sbody investing 1 billion in your country, so how then do u grow, thats madness. However, there must be a deliberate gvt policy to say where Tsingtsong tsung is coming, let us create opportunities for locals coz if you now say tsingtsongtsung is building a plant (yes because our balance sheets are too thing), ko give us ka the project tiitewo maroads, the city etc even under supervison of tsingtsongtsung, its ok, we are trying to also build our balance sheet, and we need that support from gvt and its structures down to RDCs coz there seem to be a problem there.
    This gvt has declared Zim is open for business, as Zimbos Nigel we need fight for our portion i think, lets not wait for invitation, lets go demand, thats has to be the thing, they wont invite you because they have made an open declaration to everyone

We are all Zimbabweans and have an interest to grow our country. Its not only ZANU PF who should be seen to be bringing in investors. Thank you Tendai and Nigel.

    Zimplats built a community in South Africa through Implats using the platinum that came from Zimbabwe. It was raw material. If it was processed here in Zimbabwe were could we be in terms of job creation, wealth etc. In that raw material there are more than 15 more minerals not accounted for which renders The company that watches over minerals to be sleeping on the job. Investors should be given conditions for the benefit of citizens

  • @aadomasakara2922

    I think people comment on the basis of their political parties here. Hon. Mutsvaga has made a very good point that, we don't have the capital for these projects. I don't think if we had that capital, with the love of money that we have as zimboz, I think we wouldn't be exporting those minerals.
    It is my understanding that, Hon. Biti was once a minister of Finance. There is a need to visit the projects he did during his tenure.
    Thank you Zimbos. Don't insult me, that's my opinion.

Chris have facts of what is happening on the ground, Nigel had success in the times ago and he abused that by being greedy, Biti is a politician with lots of political knowledge.

Let’s get better with impartial journalist cos if it was a plain field, chris does not have the aptitude to debate with either Biti or Nigel cos chris is consumed with his own delusional thinking that is grandeur in nature. Just my observation 🤐

    Chris's arguement is not correct. There is so much opacity around a lot of investments. What we need to tender are the NATIONAL RESOURCES & investment opportunities. I know that ESSAR (India) was frustrated because it was during the GNU and they wanted to block MDC minister of Industry who was pushing for revival of ZISCO. This is the toxicity people are talking about. Lets openly tender these resources.....we do not want to put to tender investors's funds. NO NO NO.

    Mutsvangwa dismisses all concerns about the government's indiscretions and poor governance records. He is basically saying we will work with anyone who will stop criticizing and starts applauding.

Chris has done very well in articulating the vision for the second republic unfortunately there seems to be resistance to accept the reality on the ground.This business of continuing to look in the past will not take the country anywhere therefore 1998 is past we are not in 2023.

    I listened to both parties they make sense in their own perception. But what Mstvangwa said is now key in this new gvt victim hood will never take you anywhere, it will only restrict to many opportunities and also what Biti said is very important dialog dialog. The ruling gvt should be open to the public on opportunities available

      Yes its valid pay, but ask how much that Indian guy had point to grease the wheels to get that plant setup. There plenty of indigenous entrepreneurs who want to invest in Zim, but the issue is you have to pay homage to the king. Without loyalty to Zanu or someone in Zanu in your pocket it difficult to enter the market at any level.
      This is not free market economics at play. As the Italian Mafia would say "la cosa nostra" translated in English "Our thing" aka "chinhu chavo".

    Mutsvangwa chinenge chakagara chichifunga kungoita toxic criticism. Mugabe did not like the guy. Mugabe didn't like most of his comrades becoz of their demonic hearts. The devil or those who are devil possessed usually paint negativity on other people's lives.
