I just tried...can't watch it in Australia, apparently...
@@andrewmacdonald4833 Also cant watch it hear in Austria cant!
@@andrewmacdonald4833 Yeah mate, good old world wide web and we get blocked cos of location.... Gotta fucking love it. UK blocks tons to us for some reason and has for years.
Is there a part two?
Can't in new Zealand 😢
I’ve a 23 year old son, definitely a lump in throat. Kudos to the Dutch for the extraordinary efforts to bring these boys home.
Respect to all involved in the recovery and the crew who gave their lives. We need more programmes like this to remember what was sacrificed for us to be here now.
I adore anything that guy is involved with. The energy and passion for everything he does is incredible. Like a modern day Fred Dibnah.
This is why British people need to know the sacrifices that so many young men who serve and still serve are willing to stand up and give their life for our freedoms we sit and enjoy right now. And continue to have
To those past and present we thank you for your service to the nation and to the fallen Gents. Your duty done rest easy. We shall never forget you. And your fallen comrades 🇬🇧🇬🇧💂🏼♂️💂🏼♂️
Its so sad all these heroes then and now ,fought to save Britain. What the fxxk is happening now
I watched this last night, absolutely fantastic programme. Kudos to the Dutch for making this kind of thing happen. ❤️🇬🇧
Well said, totally agree.
Respect to everyone on board that plane and anyone involved in the recovery. That site will always remain a war grave site. The people need to be recognised for their heroic actions and their stories told.
Watched this last night and it was thoroughly captivating. The sheer determination of the Dutch to honour allied airmen lost 80 years ago is beyond words ❤
Very well filmed, produced and presented. The engineering task was impressive and Guy even got to play with a gas axe. Thanks to all involved. 👍
Having watched the whole documentary last night on tv I was amazed at the bravery of these young men. Also a massive thank you to the people of the Netherlands for all their efforts in recovering all the lost aircrew from all our downed planes.
Brilliant programme. One of Guy’s best in my opinion.
I've just watched the whole show on channel 4,,,, absolutely fantastic work by the whole team, and massive thanks to the Dutch Government for continuing this work, it's extremely important in my opinion, and thanks to guy for his usual no nonsense approach in his presentation of the show, LWF
I am watching this right now, and I'm really enjoying it. Guy Martin is amazing
I love how invested in this guy gets, it really means something to him it’s not just a presenting job it’s something he has a passion for
Well worth a watch. And well worth the wait to see Guy again.
Over 20 K young lads gone and never found hard to comprehend
I watched the whole program last night! Very moving. I’m a RAF Veteran (not a flyer), projects like this mean a lot to us! The kindness and respect of the Dutch people is phenomenal, I’ve seen this at first hand when I visited Arnhem! Thanks to you and the team members!
Plus 1 👍
Watched this last night and it was absolutely amazing, one of my aunties lost her husband to be before they got married and various members of the family have tried to find any news but he's never been traced, but when Guy was shown the cigarette cases it really hit home the point of such an amazing enterprise by the Dutch government, hats off to these guys all round 🙏👏
Guy your an absolute legend. This was incredible
Guy was a wonderful narrator of this journey to find these men and tell the story of their last moments and the Dutch who see it is an honour to recover these heroes and give them a burial befitting their sacrifice to their nation. We shall remember them.
Just watched this….amazing. Huge thanks to the Dutch government and the recovery team.. but for the 7 men of the plane, we wont forget the sacrifice made.
Echoing what many others have said, huge thank you to the Dutch government and people of Holland for their continued efforts in this type of work. I always enjoy Guy's programs but this one hit special.
Watched the programme last night, very emotive. Excellent, praiseworthy effort by the Dutch and very good attitude, full marks to them. I have a number of friends and former colleagues from the Netherlands and their nation's efforts to retrieve the remains of the Fallen to provide something for their families is so characteristic of them.
I watched it last night .... what a great emotional story.... An amazing act to find the plane and its remaining crew, along with discovering the reasons for the plane coming down. The Dutch deserve out thanks for what they have done. A great project Guy very moving
Brilliant ❤ absolute respect, Lest we Forget, Thank you from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ( There was a fantastic documentary made in the 70s ? Some of our Airmen are no longer missing) about bombers & planes going down over the Netherlands .
Imagine trying to get the UK GOV, to fund this,,,,, thank you HOLLAND
Indeed - they wouldn't even support the Bomber Command Memorial at Green Park; all funded by public subscription. (They wanted the VIP seats at the unveiling though! 😤)
The government is anything but useful or British it’s nothing but a parasite to the islands now
Excellent viewing. You did a bang up job on this Guy. I tip my hat to the Dutch teams for their fantastic work as well
A very special thank you from the people of the UK to the people and government of the Netherlands.
We are grateful and humbled by your commitment and honour.
Having said all that, we won’t be going easy on your team on Wednesday night. 😉
Hartelijk dank, Nederland. 🇳🇱
Absolutely amazing documentary massive respect for all the service men & women who lost there lives for my freedom
The British Govt should look forward and realise what a positive influence , recovering lost craft with or without crews has on families . A petition should be pushed through before time moves on
A big massive respect to everyone who was involved in this amazing really life story
RIP to those amazing brave air man 🙏🙏
What an absolutely moving documentary. Well done Guy and the team. Would have been even more special if they could have got the BBMF Lancaster to fly over the site.
Just watched this after having a rough day at work, but then after watching this it all pales into insignificance when comparing it to what they had to go through
Excellent comment - they had to do it 30 times remember......
I subscribed 1:52 into this video, after Guy said "of course its worth doing" that got me!
Watched this last night! Excellent show! Absolutely brilliant
Respect to the soldiers that gave their all for Britain. Glad they didn't have to see what it's become
Airmen, please!!!
@@JohnSmith-ei2pz He probably meant all who served, not only those in the airforce.
Wow.. Can you imagine 40!! and 55!!! mission!!! When I saw TV show Master's of the Air and I could see,, what horrors these guys have to go trough....there are no words then Great Respect for all those boys and guy's who dies in WW2. Thank you very much and R.i.P
So humbling.Another very informative program Guy ,such a pleasure to watch ,may the families have their closure now.Well done to all involved .
Excellent documentary - A question though: This took place in 2023. It was an epic undertaking and big news in the Netherlands at the time, so how come it seemed to go entirely unreported by UK media?.
Because the folks wanting to tell the story did not want everyone else telling it, and because the British press are obsessed with scare mongering about a lot of stuff that really doesn't matter, and 'football', 'celebrity Bake off' and so on.
I was aware of this project as it was going on, but I do look at a lot of minority news outlets, and in truth it is one of many such projects.
@@siras2 only listed in The Telegraph as Pick of the Week in the TV section. ☹️
Bless them all Lest we Forget.
Good Luck all, can't wait to watch.
Great doc again Guy
Great programme
Well done Guy, I have to say a massive thanks to the Dutch people in their efforts.. However, I was a bit disgusted to note no RAF presence at the ceremony. The Dutch and Canadians yes.. The RAF Nope.. Makes one wonder eh!
The best programme... Guy has made.. up to yet...
Awesome
Excellent programme, well done all involved
Another great documentary Guy.
Watched the programme , excellent work well done everyone involved
Just watched absolutely brilliant well done Guy best bit of TV
may we never forget those who gave their lives so that we may live in peace.
Thank you for caring.
Proper mint docu Guy! The engineering with the cofferdam? Is mega! Truly fascinating stuff. Keep this content coming!
Great
JULY 2024
Great documentary with Guy Martin at its helm.
But let down by the no appearance of PA474 to salute her rediscovered sister, the good and thorough work done to reclaim ED603, and her three RAF crew from the sea, by the Dutch is great but saddening sight too.
🇬🇧Ⓜ️🇬🇧👍🇳🇱👍🤔🤔🤔🤔😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪
May they rest in peace with their other crew members.
hats off to the dutch for funding such enterprises, can you imagine asking our government to do similar!
I know there is a keen history for such WWII.. In my hometown of Wolverhampton on May 17th 1945 a Lancaster bomber came down on an open field after clipping overhead lines and a emergency landing was needed, but sadly all lives were lost on board. Sadly the remains of the lancaster were scattered, and pushed into the crater it had made and a service held on site where it's remains and service men were buried together. 75 years after the crash a memorial was set up in our villages library in Wednesfield, a memorial wall built at the opening of the field to commemorate the fallen on board, along with the then new management of a pub once called "the albion" requesting a name change of the pub to be known now as "the lancaster".. Inside the pub you will find a memorial wall that holds details of the service men, the planes info, details of the 630 squadron along with the articles about the war time service of the plane, the guys on board and sadly the articles and interviews from witnesses who saw the tragedy unfold...
This will be a series I'm keen to follow of yours Guy, I'm interested to see where this discovery goes, and wish you well on your journey to uncover the planes history
They fought for our freedom, which we are losing at an alarming rate 😢✌️🇬🇧
Keep up the great work Guy love to watch your video's I am in the USA so access to Channel 4 is limited.
If those brave men could see our country now they'd weep.
Absolutely. The Lefty Woketards should be fucking ashamed.
Yes, they fought a war against fascism, and we voted them into office, last Thursday has bought us time to see the stupidity of that.
@@harryfaber And now the fascists are on the left and they are appeasing and enabling an even greater threat.
@@harryfaber Our forebears defended our country to stop an invasion from an alien and sinister doctrine incompatible with our own so as to protect our freedoms and way of life for future generations.
Hi Guys! Where I can find the small skull decals? Kind regards from Brazil
Did they remove every last part of the plane?
Does anyone know where the full show can be watched? I don't live in the uk and can't watch thru channel 4.

here before it blows up?
Maybe? idk people from future will tell
bout time Guy got off his arse in did something!
Never forget NEVER 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧😧👍💪💞
Wonderful emotional Program : WHY did`nt our Media mention any of this ??? unlike the Dutch
Actually they did - but very little. Comment from a Brit in the comments section: "What a waste of money." Grrrrrrr 😤
Why is the background music so loud? It drowns out the voices.
I want to watch it but I cant as it is not available in the Netherlands
🙁🇬🇧👊🏻
You have to think the UK government would have some financial resources to help recover the remains of those who gave their lives so valiantly for the freedom of Europe.
Nah Mohammad and his 12 underage wives needed those accommodations more well our veterans live on the streets
💚🇬🇧🌱
ED603 didn’t have Merlin engines
ED603 was a Lancaster Mk III and therefore was powered by Merlins, albeit Packard built and supplied ones. Source: IBCC losses database.
I mostly enjoy Guy Martin's programs as the subjects are quite interesting. Although I can no longer watch them the last year or two, I can't stand the narrator, same old voice with no passion. It makes the whole thing seem recycled.
Does the narrator have some speech impediment?
Leave it alone it is a war grave. My grandfather was a Lancaster rear gunner and hated when wrecked planes were recovered as a vanity project like this.
So glad my uncle was fished out of a river and buried in Hamburg just after WW2, made my visit to his grave a bit more worthwhile. Lest We Forget.
The family were involved in the discussions before they started and wanted them to go ahead.
He could of cleaned his nails.
Please show this to the woke snowflakes, so they can see what real people do
Cool , idea what about the intact P38 at Gwynedd that is in the water .key word intact ,you should be helping recover it .
Just watched the full program and it was truly incredible from start to finish and Guy was so just so humble and his enthusiasm in making this great documentary was so inspiring well done to everyone involved in this amazing project 👍❤️🥲
