Isn't that a great place!! Went there a few years ago. We're hopping over the ditch to Brisbane in 11 days time, taking our 11 yr old granddaughter with us to meet her cousins. Watching this episode has just given me an idea. Mmmm. Thanks team. 😀
Hi Annette, it can depend on where I launch from. If I’m at sea level to start with, and safe to do so, I can fly as low as 1meter off the water. A little risky but great shots. If I launch from a cliff top I generally stay high as it’s hard to tell how close you can get to the water because you didn’t launch from sea level. I also recommend following the safe drone flight rules. For the resort at moreton island, I wrote and requested permission and was granted to fly as long as I communicated with the helipad every flight. I never fly above 120m. Hope this helps.
