Exactly. The tribulation is the depression no matter how fleeting. If I was an elder (no, maybe not) I’d LISTEN and give resources or share experiences or RELATE somehow. I’d sure not give tribulation last days crap. Everyone has known and will know some tribulation. Losing a loved one is tribulation. We get through it usually very victoriously! Yet we work hard to do so by healthy means! I’m so sorry an elder told you that. Look forward to the Best which is yet to come. Enjoy life and your creativity! I too, got told “Oh, just you wait for the Great Trib! Being beaten by your husband is nothing!” Luckily, I was thrown out for THINKING and I saved my children though I lost everyone else. Depression comes and goes. Elders have no Credentials or even know what it’s like to be a true friend without thinking of some Scripture taken out of context to throw at you. God bless you❤

Indeed! I grew up on the green Bible. (In fact, it took me until the spring of 2013 to actually accept the 1984 edition-only a few months before the Society issued the current edition.) And, of course, the Society has that dinosaur walking across northern Africa, while the "civilized" people are positioned throughout Europe and the Mid East. It's as though the Society were playing up certain stereotypes as well as saying that dinosaurs have continued to exist since the fictional Noahcian deluge. That's not entirely surprising, given that the Society has spoken of the "antediluvian" world, as though to say that this is some type of "postdiluvian" world to be followed by the New World after an Armageddon which, going by the Society's track record of date-setting, will never be fought.

Most Kingdom Halls are the perfect design for food pantry dispensaries. They have been a blessing to millions me included but the celestial watchtower publishing and broadcasting magnate couldn't profit from it so they insisted strictly on new light. Does anybody remember the term rice Christians they used to mock churches? Watchtower never so much as gave away a box of saltines. Free Bibles weren't really free. Just identifies you as a member of that sneaky Cult isolate you from comparing other translations.

The only persecution I received was inside the KH. I have a beautiful Family. I'm a successful craftsman and I restored a classic Chevrolet. The jealousy and hypocrisy is amazing. *Regular Joe's " in the real world but at the KH... their WT privileges blind many to the simple Bible principles in the Gospel.

They probably go right to the top of the list. After all, according to the Society, it's not the pædophilia which brings reproach upon Jehovah's Name, it's merely the reports thereof. Consequently, following the Society's policy to its logical conclusion, if any witnesses are imprisoned for such a contemptible act, they're actually the ones directly participating in the vindication of Jehovah's Name. It is, in a word, disgusting!

Why do they always say "lands" instead of countries? Is it because "country" acknowledges some type of political structure that they don't acknowledge? Or just to be different?

Actually, the Society referring to "lands" is relatively new. For decades, in the "Yearbook" the Society did mention "countries". Consequently, at one point, the Society reported field service being done in 240 "countries". However, it would seem that not every place listed in the "Worldwide Report" is officially a "country" in the sense of having their own national government. The Society operates under the idea that a "land" is a "realm of activity". For instance, the Society speaks of Jehovah's witnesses as having formed a "Nation" from and after A.D. 1919, with the earth being described as their "land" or "realm of activity". Similarly, any place listed in the "Worldwide Report" is a "land" in that it is a "realm of activity" in which the field service is carried on.
I understand where the Society is coming from. Nonetheless, it is convoluted, to put it mildly. Then again, it's just another example of the Society imposing a "pure language" upon Jehovah's witnesses, in which normal, everyday words have completely different definitions. Mr. Orwell warned us about that type of thing in "1984".

I cringed at 0:54 when his first words were "Our beautiful branch office!" What I heard was "Oh no our property, money and other treasures we have stored up on Earth." Not concern for the brother's and sister who lost their rights to worship, not concern that some of those brothers and sisters might be injured or thrown into prison. No, what counted to this lump of lard was their true god, money. The members of Watchtower are persecuted as human beings by the Organisation. They , Watchtower's rules and behaviour cause the persecutions. It is a self fulfilling prophesy.

Through these yearly assemblies, the design is spelled out by the cult leaders... there are three steps to gaining control of someone's mind: unfreezing, changing, and refreezing. Unfreezing means "breaking a person down," (the assemblies spend 3 days breaking a person down) ....."changing" is when old indoctrination is reintroduced and repeated in many different ways, (the assemblies introduce major indoctrination in all levels of life) and "refreezing" means building someone's new artificial cult identity. (This is the most interesting part of each assembly at the very end,.... each member is being refroze by these talks like this one of Sanderson's. It's design is to push each member to martyrdom if necessary, for what? ....to support the cult leaders narrative. Each member is now going out from the assembly "frozen" and reiforced with the cult personality of Mark Sanderson.

Alright. Wait. Endurance? You learn endurance from being in the world and going through what all the rest of us go through from birth to death. Not by being in a cult which has “love-bombed” you into it only to learn that once you’re dunked in their Convention Pool you’re freedom of individual thought and creativity is now in WTs possession, right down to throwing away family and life if it comes down to it. Then, only to find out that you’ll be judged by elders and disfellowshipped and shunned and lose all you’ve nurtured and held dear. THAT is being thrown to the world where we “shunned” learn endurance! YES! Some day, when we heal and take back all WT has taken from us, we will show you our courage, our Higher Education credentials, our gratitude to therapists and shelters and agencies “in the world” who have helped us grieve and move forward without your stuffed pigs in blankets (elders)...and we will have the best “revenge”, holy and whole...that is, we live well. We have survived you. And, to quote a simple line in a moving film...”God’s children are NOT FOR SALE”!!!!!
PS: WT persecuted its own. Being kind is wonderful. But most of JWs I have known are afraid of everything. When faced with someone or something different than JW group-think, they report, disassociate, and shun. I understand that even from what I’ve heard from real ex-prisoners, you go in meek and mild and submissive. After so many months or years, one learns survival in any way it takes. I don’t think Fatty has known a hard day in his flabby sandwich-fed life. Easy for the Governing Body to talk. You have no idea. Ok. That’s it.
