That's the reason why the theory of the Hunters being third wave of division agents is there. They're activated so that no traces of Directive 51 remains after the events of the outbreak and the situation is under control again by the government.

I think we'll learn a lot about hunters in the division 2. Maybe they are a combination of the best of the best agents in NYC first wave and Washingtons first wave

For your last comments about the red flags you have story wise allow me to produce a theory. so we know at the beginning of division 2 Washington d.c is a contested battlefield where the jtf pulled out and the military fled too so I believe its safe to assume the division agents did the same either they went rouge joining other factions or maybe some stayed with civilian militia groups, but another thing to note is division headquarters is located in d.c so perhaps the headquarters was destroyed/crippled so many agents in d.c left after hearing the news figuring it was over or maybe since the headquarters was destroyed they decided since they weren't getting any new orders that the battle was lost so maybe our agents are the few who are still following old orders and the reason it took us so long is because we had to basically walk to fight our way just to get to d.c. but anyway these are just a few theories I have about the story's continuation.
If you ask me, The Division 2 should’ve been set in Chicago, or another city in the U.S which is notorious for high crime as I think it would’ve made more sense considering they most likely would’ve fallen into anarchy first, and more lawlessness as a result.
It's plausible that the JTF under the rogue General had control of the city so any Division Agents were sent to smaller locations where first responders had been sent to support New York etc. Once the True Sons rose up and the JTF lost control some months later they requested the return of the Division.

Quite possibly. I actually hope I'm wrong in this case, as there are far more exciting directions that they could take. But based on the first game, I think they've done a great job with the story. It's what brought me into the game before it was released. You may be talking about the WAY they told the story, with Echos and recordings etc, and that makes sense, its certainly not every ones cup of tea to have to put the work into find all the answers. But I actually prefer the open ended stories, the level of mystery to a lot of the characters. Having the whole story laid out in front of me on a silver platter, from start to end, doesn't leave a lot of flexibility for the future of the story. But again, thats just me :-)

Arron Keener spoke to her before she went into the Dark Zone as he was interested in the Division Gear she had on, which was connected to the first wave of division agents (she was reduced by them) which Arron Keener was originally part of before going rouge. But my main point is in the Division 2 Tailer, there is a Parcel address to April Kelleher soooo it looks like she’s also gone to NYC!

One reason that DC may not have had sleeper agents is due to the various military and government alphabet soup agencies within. This may have caused them to actually overlook setting up Directive 51 sleeper cells.
im really hyped for the division 2 and can't wait to play it. i still have fun on The division and i heard the division 2 is a great game from the people who got to play early.
I would love to see a mission where you can either join keener or kill him of course, this would be a very VERY end game mission and may make the lore a little hard to follow because Ubisoft would need to clarify which is lore friendly. However if Ubi want a better solution would be if you join him he knocks you out, but if you choose kill him, a flash bang would be tossed from off screen and give Keener time to get away.
I’m playing a lot of Ghost Recon Wild lands at the moment and there’s these crates with tape recordings in them scattered across the map as a little eater egg or reference to the Division 2. But it’s got thinking if there’s equipment from the division in wild lands does that mean while the ghosts in Bolivia are dealing with the Santa Blanca cartel is America falling apart and they have no clue about it since the government fell apart so quickly that the word couldn’t reach the ghosts to come back and help deal with the virus? Just a theory to link the two games is all, might make an interesting topic to discuss.
Yeah nah yeah. Some key things you have missed. a) NYC (Manhattan) is saved but NY / NJ / CT are still up s creek. b) Agents had to fight their way into the city's and there was more than one wave of them. In the case of NYC it took several days for the first wave to get ground and meet up. In DC this could have been worse - as there could have been strong factions in DC during a collapse. In NY these factions grew into what they are, but in Washington - what if the USAF/Army/Coast Guard/Navy.... suddenly didn't agree with the President / Government response. They would be a new faction immediately.
Don't really buy your explanation for the 7 months gap and hope now - since you brought it up - that Massive will address the issue in a plausible way, but really enjoy your content every time. I still have NY Collapse laying around here and can't summon enough focus to study it. Those vids are very helpful for understanding the Division Lore :-)
I actually hope my prediction is wrong. I'd like to see it going in a different direction. But I have no doubt this will be cleared up, it's just too big a gap.
You know, the agents could also be from NYC, having put that city back into something resembling order were then tasked to D.C. after that city's agents went dark and sightings of Keener were reported. I'd argue that this is completely possible, as under Directive 51 the President has to deactivate them, and from the intro dialogue to I believe Falcon Lost in the first game the President is MIA, which is further backed up by the fact the Presidential Motorcade is in the parking garage of the UN Building, and Air force 1 has been shot down.
Holy s*** I love this video. This is the type of situation report I like to see. And as a fellow New Yorker and I have family who live near DC I have a couple of questions. No one seems to know or have an answer for. The Pentagon is located at least three miles away from directly behind the White House but it's not included on the map in division 2? The second question is New York and Washington are only 4 hours apart traveling by car why haven't the Ubisoft mention anything about a winter time cycle and made it sound like DC is a tropical environment? We all know that's not the case if you live on the east coast. The other question is Isaac servers are located pretty close to New York if not in New York how is it still operating outside of New York and who's controlling it. And this question last one since we know Air Force One Is Down do we have air superiority or not makes me feel that we do not and something bigger is a play. but then that speculation on my part
Here’s my only question; do we have to design a new agent, or does our agent from the first game carry over? Also here are some aspects I’m hoping for; an actual stealth element, better mobility such as use of vehicles and the ability to go prone, a larger map and better hand to hand combat
Remember the SHD network went down too so that may have had something to do with the agents in D.C. being silent though Agent Kelso has been active so that would be reaching at best....
Maybe when when the update for tidal basin for d2 keener will maybe be the boss we have to fight or we complete the mission get to tier 5 do more missions then fight keener
I am very hoping that nobody is quitting or installing new division it it doesn't need to know the story to get us back on all the videos I've been seeing about how much you guys say it's boring and how many changes you are there should be added like in other games are coming up I didn't greet did the Vincent needs some minor things to help it as division friend I say that maybe the people who created probably need some new cool ideas because there are other things people are more interested and I'm still watching The division 1 mesh still love it and I probably the same maybe maybe they should change seasons like in division 1 it was Winter and now division 2 it's summer and I see that's really cool with you we had to discharge achatz French up in the more propia I love it and maybe they can make our gear customizable like our clothes you can make our own agents whatever we want them to look like and at any kind of gear or colors or anyting Al weapons a Wi-Fi armored that's the only thing we can customize and I clothing I'm going to keep watching The division and hopefully on my by The division II and division 1 play it myself but for now I'm a keep watching I keep you posted on more comments and for your creators great job releasing you I love the way you did it I love how you made the story at The first beginning of the game I got s8 100% a week ago and I like to say keep adding more and keep doing the best that you guys do who I love your work so much

I've been asking g about Keener since way before people were sent for Div 2, including on state of the game. No one answers, so I think he will be there, but I wish they gave us a dark path in Div 2 and gave us a chance to join him.
Either dlc or a game needs to be focused on Aaron keener and taking him down. Obviously different things that you deal with, just like the first two games, but outside of the crap he helps build to rampage we need to get something that focuses on him and the divisions efforts to eradicate the rogue agents or capture them.
I hope we can choose whether we want to join Aaron as Rogues or stay with the SHD. Personally, Aaron makes a lot of sense. A cure can never be made because the Virus us always changing. So it really is all about power now.
Me before division 2 came out: “we’ve got to see more stuff about Keener in the story” Me when I played through the entire story of division 2: “So that was a fucking lie”
It's going to be interesting hopefully learning why the first wave division agents failed at securing DC early on in the outbreak. Have you had the chance to read the comics? There looks like there are other shadowy groups at work so perhaps they are possibly involved with the downfall of DC. 30 mins to go till open beta!
Do you know what these cities need instead of Division agents? Some good old American Military Firepower. I don’t think those factions have anti-tank or aircraft weaponry. Same with Artillery.
We kinda have mortars now with the Demo class so sort of a Anti Armor, but in NYC we know that both the LMB(RFWA) and Rikers had access to SAM sites (Unknown location and Clear Sky respectively) we also blew up an APC in Falcon Lost, so who's to say we might not have a subclass for the Demo to combat APCs?
I want to make my agent (visual) from Division 1 in the division 2, as a bit older and scarred (from New York), I do no, if they go to DC for support, but I want to think that my agent in DC it's the same as new york.

The reason why there's no agents at first is cuz they lost connection and weren't able to stay and fight for DC for more than 15 minutes

MabeyAron keener is the black tusk. I mean tusk has the same gear as the divisiont and is out for division agents or Aron is part of the hunters
I’m playing a lot of Ghost Recon Wild lands at the moment and there’s these crates with tape recordings in them scattered across the map as a little eater egg or reference to the Division 2. But it’s got thinking if there’s equipment from the division in wild lands does that mean while the ghosts in Bolivia are dealing with the Santa Blanca cartel is America falling apart and they have no clue about it since the government fell apart so quickly that the word couldn’t reach the ghosts to come back and help deal with the virus? Just a theory to link the two games is all, might make an interesting topic to discuss.
Yeah nah yeah. Some key things you have missed. a) NYC (Manhattan) is saved but NY / NJ / CT are still up s creek. b) Agents had to fight their way into the city's and there was more than one wave of them. In the case of NYC it took several days for the first wave to get ground and meet up. In DC this could have been worse - as there could have been strong factions in DC during a collapse. In NY these factions grew into what they are, but in Washington - what if the USAF/Army/Coast Guard/Navy.... suddenly didn't agree with the President / Government response. They would be a new faction immediately.
Don't really buy your explanation for the 7 months gap and hope now - since you brought it up - that Massive will address the issue in a plausible way, but really enjoy your content every time. I still have NY Collapse laying around here and can't summon enough focus to study it. Those vids are very helpful for understanding the Division Lore :-)
I actually hope my prediction is wrong. I'd like to see it going in a different direction. But I have no doubt this will be cleared up, it's just too big a gap.
You know, the agents could also be from NYC, having put that city back into something resembling order were then tasked to D.C. after that city's agents went dark and sightings of Keener were reported. I'd argue that this is completely possible, as under Directive 51 the President has to deactivate them, and from the intro dialogue to I believe Falcon Lost in the first game the President is MIA, which is further backed up by the fact the Presidential Motorcade is in the parking garage of the UN Building, and Air force 1 has been shot down.
Holy s*** I love this video. This is the type of situation report I like to see. And as a fellow New Yorker and I have family who live near DC I have a couple of questions. No one seems to know or have an answer for. The Pentagon is located at least three miles away from directly behind the White House but it's not included on the map in division 2? The second question is New York and Washington are only 4 hours apart traveling by car why haven't the Ubisoft mention anything about a winter time cycle and made it sound like DC is a tropical environment? We all know that's not the case if you live on the east coast. The other question is Isaac servers are located pretty close to New York if not in New York how is it still operating outside of New York and who's controlling it. And this question last one since we know Air Force One Is Down do we have air superiority or not makes me feel that we do not and something bigger is a play. but then that speculation on my part

I am very hoping that nobody is quitting or installing new division it it doesn't need to know the story to get us back on all the videos I've been seeing about how much you guys say it's boring and how many changes you are there should be added like in other games are coming up I didn't greet did the Vincent needs some minor things to help it as division friend I say that maybe the people who created probably need some new cool ideas because there are other things people are more interested and I'm still watching The division 1 mesh still love it and I probably the same maybe maybe they should change seasons like in division 1 it was Winter and now division 2 it's summer and I see that's really cool with you we had to discharge achatz French up in the more propia I love it and maybe they can make our gear customizable like our clothes you can make our own agents whatever we want them to look like and at any kind of gear or colors or anyting Al weapons a Wi-Fi armored that's the only thing we can customize and I clothing I'm going to keep watching The division and hopefully on my by The division II and division 1 play it myself but for now I'm a keep watching I keep you posted on more comments and for your creators great job releasing you I love the way you did it I love how you made the story at The first beginning of the game I got s8 100% a week ago and I like to say keep adding more and keep doing the best that you guys do who I love your work so much

Actually now, in The Division 2 you can hear Keener saying, that NYC is not quarantined anymore.
I've been asking g about Keener since way before people were sent for Div 2, including on state of the game. No one answers, so I think he will be there, but I wish they gave us a dark path in Div 2 and gave us a chance to join him.

Either dlc or a game needs to be focused on Aaron keener and taking him down. Obviously different things that you deal with, just like the first two games, but outside of the crap he helps build to rampage we need to get something that focuses on him and the divisions efforts to eradicate the rogue agents or capture them.
One wonders where next the Dollar Flu epidemic will take the agents. My hope is Atlanta next with the CDC located there, or perhaps California.

It's going to be interesting hopefully learning why the first wave division agents failed at securing DC early on in the outbreak. Have you had the chance to read the comics? There looks like there are other shadowy groups at work so perhaps they are possibly involved with the downfall of DC. 30 mins to go till open beta!
Do you know what these cities need instead of Division agents? Some good old American Military Firepower. I don’t think those factions have anti-tank or aircraft weaponry. Same with Artillery.
We kinda have mortars now with the Demo class so sort of a Anti Armor, but in NYC we know that both the LMB(RFWA) and Rikers had access to SAM sites (Unknown location and Clear Sky respectively) we also blew up an APC in Falcon Lost, so who's to say we might not have a subclass for the Demo to combat APCs?
In the first game you can also hlep the civilian in the streets but knowing that player would kill them making it have consequences is a good idea
I want to make my agent (visual) from Division 1 in the division 2, as a bit older and scarred (from New York), I do no, if they go to DC for support, but I want to think that my agent in DC it's the same as new york.
