- Agents are hand-picked from various aspects of society, run through a grewling vetting process, and if successful, they are hard trained by top tier SHD operatives.
This training is then continued on for the remainder of their service.
But this isn’t all that they’re equipped with.
Division Agents are armed with state of the art weapons and gear, including SHD technology and the ISAC AI system.
In this video I’ll be covering the gear that all Division Agents are issued after they have become full fledged SHD operatives.
Starting from the most basic of equipment, through to the most advanced technology that the Strategic Homeland Division has at their disposal.

God, I love the old MacGyver references. Imagine what kind of hardware he could make if he didn’t have his rules about guns. I think he could cure the Green Poison with some bubblegum, a wire hanger, and some household chemicals

Haha good one! But tech has nothing to do with muscle memory and steadiness! Most ppl who are trained even SWAT team members use silencers on there guns not for stealth either because a silencer isn't really silent but it does help with recoil that's why there used! Movies/shows and games all get silencers wrong! You can't just put one on any gun then it's magically silent! Anybody who knows even a small amount about guns knows that the only way to make a gun even kinda silent you need the proper gun, caliber, silencer, and subsonic bullets!..
@@TylerSane5 It's true but if they worked the way they do IRL then you would always want to have a suppressor. Shit sounds cool though lol
Guns have recoil.
@@TylerSane5 Extra weight in front of the barrel, better control over recoil. Also, Suppressors work well for reducing muzzle flash.

Well my feet get cold and it doesn't matter what time of the year it is my drainage kicks in so I wear socks to bed sometimes.

I'm pretty sure that no Division agents take their socks off when sleeping, indeed, most keep all their clothes, boots, watch and weapons on, so they remain ready for anything at all times.

On a completely serious note, ubisoft should hire you for TD3. These videos are more detailed than thier own devs books and stuff.
If they hired you to put out content like this pre-release (w/o spoilers ofc.) It would generate so much hype.

Duh no u I personally think there shouldn’t be, at least for a long time. With where it’s at now, the game doesn’t have a REAL ending. The dev team has lots of space to add story line and such. Plus, the fan base loves everything about this game. It’s not wise to tear down the goldmine they have to start anew when they can just keep building upon the story through TD2
Loving the McGuyver reference. Grew up in the 80's and early 90's watching it. Hmm Mac did work for the phoenix foundation....same logo as the SHD... might be a coincidence :P
Phoenix foundation... now confirmed as the precursor to The Division.. at least in my head
DARPA probably made the SHD tech. The pentagon mission shows that the sniper dogs were a prototype for SHD tech
It’s literally said in the video that DARPA created SHD Tech. You also see prototypes all over the Pentagon mission
There’s still so many interesting things about the black tusk I’ve found in books and comics and the footages found in game

Well we have VR gaming equipment becoming more popular. It's not that far of a leap from the Oculus or Google Glass to Skantek Contact Lenses.

Excellent as always. If you decide that doing lore for the new Ghost Recon is something that interests you, you will be incredibly busy. Between Div 2, Borderlands and GR sleep may be a thing of the past.

I’ll be honest, not a fan of those Scantek Lenses. I see the point of them, but if I was an agent I’d opt for the glasses version, as the idea of putting something in my eye freaks me out.
DarkUnity but then you can lose access to your hud with a close encounter with a grenade or other explosive. Lenses are much more reliable

well playing d2 I was surprised by the rain and other weather changes and only now someone says they could warn you about something that might through off a person's ability to fight (in real life anyway).

DirtySheriffx he warned you of heat and cold in the division 1 survival mode. Because In DC if it rains you're not gonna die from it, (unless you're already sick or something) so he only warns you of dangerous variations

I think that the division has access to nono tech allowing for fast healing from bullets, knifes and more.
you can tell by the healing skills in the game and how you can recover from near a dead stat but it takes time and it dos have limits as shown by the first wave.

I'm seriously shocked they didn't make a watch app to accompany this. I'd love to have I.S.A.C. on my wrist. Pretty sure it's D.C. Douglas doing the voice and that is badass.
@@OfficerFolgers Seen some people make their own S.H.D watches without ISAC, what I want is the 3d printed brick with bluetooth connected to your phone, and being able to be controlled from your phone, not to mention having the launcher be a ISAC OS

I live in an independent living apartment building over 55 and disabled. Part of the fire safety watch here and going to bed with your socks on is not as crazy as it sounds sometimes we have a matter of seconds to get dressed and get out the door to check on Neighbors. Every second we save could save someone else if we have to evacuate the building due to a fire period, so in my opinion it's not nuts it's actually being smart. There are two of us on each floor ., and our job is to alert everyone else, get as many people as we can downstairs . and also get residents who need Mobility assistance 2 designated areas in the stairwells where fire rescue will take over getting them to safety

I had two questions, though, as I’m curious about these things very much. The first relates to this video, as I was wondering if there was a certain hub of the SHD network, or if it is a relay of multiple nodes. The second is how do you find out all of this lore? I’ve only have the New York collapse book and would like to find out more for myself, preferably with something I can hold in my hands.

Peter Yim Errr, they don’t need NVGs when they can use pulse. But I can see what you mean because how would they traverse the area? Maybe some agents did use NVGs to ease out the use of the pulse.
Question.
When an agent goes ROGUE, what will the gear do? Isaac? Does the red mean that the agent ID and thereby the watch are blocked to use any SHD tech and logistics? Does it still have a function for them?
When an agent activates rogue protocol or even does an action that goes against SHD protocol. ISAC is programmed to instantly mark you as a rogue (even though most D2 agents do it for survival). Their gear would do virtually nothing, apparently there’s no contingency that locks the agent’s gear as they’re connected to the agent. When the watch turns red, this means any agent nearby are designated to neutralize the rogue or capture them. As for logistics, rogues are blocked from leaving specific locations if they’re in the presence of a SHD turret - other agents + JTF. TL;DR, if you’ve played the D1 & D2, you can still use your gadget (maybe in a live action, they wouldn’t be able to but I don’t think that’s the case).
Drazler Creation However, ISAC can and will automatically lock the agent temporarily (depending on their status) out of the network. Thus, once being completely rogue, the agent will lose access to their allies, safe houses, and other such.
I wish we could go back to the uncluttered look of agent, like in TD1. The specialization weapons are an unnecessary addition to the backpack. Maybe if there ever will be another game, we could make it disappear the same way, we can make our filtration mask visible at all times, not just in the DZ or contaminated areas.

Question. Since issac is in every division agent shouldn't Division HQ locate Aaron Keaner and where he should be. And where would the green poison be?
Rogue or disavowed agents are locked out of the SHD network. That being said, Keener is smart and likely would have disabled any way to track him. Plus ISAC isn’t in every agent. It’s more of a collective thing. It’s an AI program. It can be accessed and used simultaneously among many agents.

Legit has the highest things no other civilians can own, but yet can only reach Gear Score 259 in Division 1
I'm just starting The Division 1 now I love the story but one question I got about T.D.1. Is how did all those guns get into New York when it's when of the strictest cities in America when it comes to guns! I know a lot of them were left behind cause they were contaminated but what about the other guns outside of the DZ??

Not sure if it has been asked here. But i wanna know if they can turn off their smartwatch and brick's brightness to a bare minimum? Imagine going to a dark place to ambush a patrol or do a covert mission, only to have your cover blown by a bright orange light.
In D2, out in the sunny days, the brightness on your brick and watch are lowered to an extreme as opposed to D1, which is on at all times. This is probably to lessen the chances of a agent being spotted but who would need a light on at all times during the day? As for the dark, I believe they could, ISAC automatically decreases the brightness but a agent could alter this via their watch.

Reminds me of the assassins from assassins creed i swear at times ubisoft loves elite solo agents whos ranks get killed because they dont form teams. Also the division as a concept is cool but i feel like they should have been squatted up into groups instead of long ranger shit probably wouldnt have the dark zones then.

I know this is just different but i wonder... how would Division Agents do up against the military Special Forces like a SEAL team or Delta since those 2 are consider Tier 1 units... that would be awesome lol
I think it would depend on the situation.
Under normal circumstances, the special forces hands down. But without any sort of leadership or support function, they may struggle to improvise to the same sort of level.
@@NGN I agree with you. The major advantage for the Special Forces is that they actually have many combat experience while SOME Division agents are just still civilians or were in law enforcement. The Division Agents like Khajika type who were in Special Forces would give them a fight.

fantasy is fantasy but i do not like the idea of those contact lenses one little bit. I think they would have been wiser pushing a cross-com style system used in GRAW or Future Soldier giving players a mandatory set of glasses frames and goggles for their agent to wear

Indeed, I can’t wait for them to add a rogue faction where whenever you go rogue in the DZ, you hear Anna’s voice activate. That’ll be sick, but I’m worried since then everybody would wanna go rogue. (As for actual purposes, Anna would probably be exclusive to those who are permanently rogue rather temporary disavowing protocol). ISAC can’t tell the difference and I think Anna will.
