You should try some shallow flanks when playing aggro like this to spread the opponent out a bit and get the balls caught up on them, plus divert their stormcallers from your clumped up units. Drop a tarantula in each closest corner flank and then a crawler next to it.
This is a funny comment because so many games I play, especially if I am playing aggro, I understand if I do not win on the last turn I probably lose...
Do you ever think about making a discord server? Some games I have I don't even know what I could have done differently, would be cool to talk to people about that kind of thing.

Acid scorps and mechrage spiders lookd much mo effective in last round
Luckily the game endet there. Next round ion beam would be up again and I can't see how you would've won that round.

If your opponent picks double extra deployment you should consider investing in vulcans
