I played a few cases (having bought the game after the first two videos and trial test in tts) and now I see, that the most fun comes from revealing the entire web of events. It is great to know all the side details. So, yes, please more cases, but don't let the score stop you from investigating other leads.
There is a point in each investigation at which you won't get much new information. Reading entire booklet would be (in my opinion) too boring. What I meant originally is to say that, if you know who and how killed, but you still are curious about other storylines, just go ahead and take those additional steps to investigate it. At least try it in one case and see how it works out for you. But hey, that's what makes it fun for me. And it's simply personal opinion. Bottomline is: play however you like and don't let rules or scoring take away the fun from you. I like to play until I think I might be able to answer all the questions. I still want to do it in the least steps possible, but the main crime is not enough for me :) In the end, there always was a question about one event or character that I was not able to answer.
I know ben said he wasnt thrilled with the response to this series during a jingle jam stream but i actual think this game is amazing to watch and would really love more. Awesome stuff, keep it up please!
This is probably the easiest case. I'd like to see them tackle the other ones, they get way more difficult logic wise. I also remember having problems determining whether it was the mother/daughter/sister.
Like, 8 of the top 10 comments are to play more of this, and I hope they listen to/see them, because I just finished the Sherlock series before this started coming out and it's helping to ween me off of not having any more episodes of the show to watch. Can't wait to see more of this, great deducing. [SPOILER] Also, P.Flax was right, someone definitely touched on the Napoleon fact, just not sure when.
Well they only mentioned that the culprit was an actor who was renown for accurately portraying Napoleon, thus capable of appearing as an old man. Not that the General was literally indicating the murderer was Napoleon.

Every story needs a few red herrings, but if you can completely ruin your own score by heading through scenes which give basically no information with no indication of which is which, it's badly designed. At the start, all the leads are essentially random (something the papers are supposed to mitigate but I think Ben is a crappy reader) and many of them have either no information or lots of information. I know it's realistic, but it's also stupid as far as games go. Given the play scene and the intro scene, anyone with half a brain could have guessed what happened. Any of the other scenes were entirely pointless as far as I could tell. They didn't even lead to the Polar Star "quest chain".
The rulebook does not mention that you need specific clues to visit a location. You can attempt to go wherever your fancy takes you. Such guesswork is most of the time pretty pointless though. In this instance, however, there is only one numbered building on the street in question (Pont street), so it wouldn't have been cheating nor silly of them to go there.
I wouldn't mind if they did more cases of this, I really like this series!!!

Then again, if you investigate every lead then you find out everything. The score is the only thing that stops it from basically reading like a book.
