    Great video! All of the other preseason workout videos are filled with a bunch of unnecessary talking and introductions. This one is straight to the point, but still has all the information you need.

    My squat routine is 1 minute interval with 30kg weights, 1 minute break and another set, 3 sets totally, 2-3 times a week, in one minute you can do 30-40 reps.
    I can carv 6 hours a day ! :-) Waiting for the next winter already !

    You're wrong about "strain on the knee" with knees over toes. This comes from an old study from 1961 that was poorly done. Look up Ben Patrick knees over toes guy.

      100% when Charles Poliquin took over the training of the Canadian ski team, they were riddled with injuries. All because they were doing 90-degree squats and lunges. You have to get your hamstrings touching your calves, thus a deep squat.

    After skiing 2 hours my legs are burning I will try these thanks for the tips

    • @JPaul-vu4lp
      @JPaul-vu4lp ปีที่แล้ว +4

      While skiing, focus on getting your weight more forward. Shins against your boot Toungs. Your legs are probably burning because you are leaning back or in the back seat, which puts more strain on your quads. I professional lesson will assist you in getting into the correct position.

    Can anyone suggest a good (quite demanding) routine for average skier to do from 2 months before skiing? Thanks

    I do these using weights as well as calf raises, leg curls and leg extensions for my leg day workout using weights. Is there any particular amount of reps and is it of benefit to lift heavy?

    • @theduke3559
      @theduke3559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lifting heavy increases muscle. If you do these exercises without weight, then you build the proper foundation for mobility, stamina, and cardio. These are all essential aspects of being a good skier.

    • @alanbrooke144

      @@ritzyllama Chiropractic was invented by D. D. Palmer, Sep 18, 1895 when he adjusted the spine of a deaf man and allegedly restored his hearing (a claim that is highly implausible based on what we know of anatomy). Based on this one case, Palmer decided that all disease was due to subluxation: 95% to subluxations of the spine and 5% to subluxations of other bones.
      The rationale for chiropractic hinges on three postulates:
      Bones are out of place
      Bony displacements cause nerve interference
      Manipulating the spine replaces the bones, removing the nerve interference and allowing Innate (a vitalistic life force) to restore health.
      There is no credible evidence to support any of these claims.
      Real subluxations (partial dislocations) show up on x-ray. Chiropractic “subluxations” don’t. In view of the negative x-ray evidence, chiropractic was forced to change its definition of a subluxation from “a bone out of place” to “a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system and general health.”
