About 28 years ago a mechanic my parents went to regularly, showed us a chunk of solid, pure gold. It was just a small part of a large stash he had tracked down over the years. It was tucked away in a small cave, high in the Uintas. He wouldn't give much info on location other than that. (Understandable.) The tiny piece of gold he sent to multiple jewelers was found to be incredibly pure and each one of those jewelers was very interested in the gold and wanted to know where it came from. He kept it quiet and I dont know if he every ended up finding a way to sel it or what, since he was worried about government or state claiming it was somehow the property of the state or the government.
The treasure hunter who had been hunting since 1977 gave a description of the silvers bars being 70lbs and near a smelting area. I'm pretty sure the bars of gold this guy had were very similar, weighing about 70-90lbs each. I remember him saying the weight of the full bars he had found, (but cant remember the exact number.) and being in awe (I was like 8 or 9, so hard to recall all details.) But as soon as the 1977 treasure winter's account was read out, it sounded a lot like what this guy had described in the cache he found. And I believe the mechanic had said he was going to next search for the location of where the gold had been smelted, since there was evidence and reason to believe that it had been done near by. So as far as I know, he had found a small cave with the gold bars, but no smelting area. He did say that multiple people have disappeared in that area over the decades and that it was rumored that there were still some Ute tribe members who were there to protect the gold, for whatever reason. Could it be the gold cache that had not been located by the guy who found the gold? Possibly. The weight of the bars and how they were stashed sounds very similar to the way the mechanic described the bars and cache he had discovered.
Anyway, that's what I remember from when he showed us the chunk of a bar. My parents got into a nasty divorce shortly after and I have no idea what happened after that.
Crazy to find out that there are so many other people out there, searching for treasure in the Uintas, with a similar treasure background.
I am sharing these memories, since I have always been curious to find out what become of the treasure he found, if he ever collected it and hauled it our of there, and mostly, I am DYING to know if you find the stash you are looking for, and if so, I'm kinda wondering if that cache might not be empty now. If so... it was the mechanic from Ogden, Utah.
I know it's hard to believe every comment people post. And my memory was from long ago, making it a bit blotchy. But the gold chunk I held, I remember very clearly. It was a lot colder than I had anticipated, and incredibly heavy. It was magnificent.
Good luck and happy treasure hunting!

Great videos and channel.! I have also watched terry carters videos aswell. Looks like awesome treasure adventures there to be had there in Utah. Good luck!
Anyway, I live in far northern California. In what is known as the Northern mines during the rush.
Watching many videos about the Spanish mining era in the US, it made me curious if the Spanish mined gold in California before the gold rush, and had cache sites. I have seen stories about Spanish ships being loaded with gold off the California coast. I believe francis drake raided some. Another time i read about the Spanish stopping at Trinidad CA. Harbor and placing a very large solid gold cross on the hill above trinidad bay ( Trinidad head now) . To claim the harbor for the king/ queene of spain. Later was noticed by other spanish ships that it was removed. Locals believe the indians of those times removed it and threw it in the ocean below.
Back on question, have you heard of any documentation of spanish cache sites in California? It seems possible as if i am correct, California was 2nd in total gold production in history. With the bays along the coast and navagatible rivers to go up. ( Sacramento, san Joaquin, American rivers) it would seem common sense that they would have mined the crap out of California lode gold deposits.
I subscribed and will continue to follow your content with interest.
    Best of luck
    Trump 2024!!!
Ps I forgot to ask, but have you tried lidar data for your area to try to find treasure. I think lidar is probably the best tool to help find manmade surface disturbances and mine shafts; old roads, etc.
I have a prospecting buddy that does custom lidar maps that overlay google earth. He is alot cheaper then gis companies charge. I believe you get basically a 4 mile by 3 mile area for $60. You just have to give a center point of your interest area.
Or you might google free lidar data for your area. Sometimes you can see it for free. Not likely but worth a check.
    Regards

Interesting info. Sleuthing out the clues is fun in itself. I'm considering taking my early retirement and moving to Utah ( I'm in Virginia, I've been to Utah before , I'm LDS so the culture switch would not be noticeable much ). I just want a few acres w/ no zoning restrictions and then I can search.

    • @treasureexplorationandrese3712
      @treasureexplorationandrese3712  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Its getting harder to find property without zoning, some of the smaller towns are the worst as they are looking for every drop of money. Look at some property outside town or cities in the county but do your research well! If I was moving to Utah just to treasure hunt I would choose Nevada or Arizona, but Utah has its history too!

Great video, the only problem with the shell casing and bullets is that they are at the earliest circa 1900.
The Spanish would have flintlocks with musket balls about 1/2 inch diameter.
Having said that, I truly believe that there are many undiscovered treasures from the 1600's that were lost due to the uncertainties of the time. Good video and good luck.

Reminds me of an old Jackie Chan video. Him singing the song "What is it good for, absolutely nothing" Seriously it is rare and used in catalectic converters and some jewelry which keeps the price as high as it is. That being said I feel all the precious metals are artificially kept low to benefit the weak dollar and the stock market. Silver is even more undervalued than platinum. Prices are kept low but behind the scenes the wealthy are buying all the precious metals they can!

Your store looks good. One thing that I’d think would awesome or a good suggestion is to use yours or dans photo of Indian petroglyphs and instead of just putting it on a t shirt put it on a truck or car seat cover as a print on demand product. That’d be pretty cool. A guy I watched joe Robert on TH-cam titled why I left printful talks about other things like car seat covers. Having that printed on a large blanket would be cool, too, to match a larger Indian writing panel. There’s some cool print on demand products out there.

The blurry maps and documents are telltale signs. If you believe in your findings then sell your information and documents/maps. If you are willing to say just enough to interest others for monetary gain but don't have the gall to give it your everything (like all the great ones before were more than willing to do) I hope you don't get funding because you're chasing the interest in the story not the "pot at the end of the rainbow".

You need to do more research, read about the Attocha. Finding what is lost is not easy, particularly after 300 or 400 years. It takes years of research, many trips of searching and elimination and is extremely expensive. It takes a team, some luck and without the keys hidden in the archives it takes techknowlegy. You have obviously never mined underground or built a skyscraper or worked on an oil well, or worked on a large ranch or served in the military, or been on an archeological dig. I have done all of these things I know what goes into building skyscrapers, mineral exploration and discovery, running large operations and locating treasure. All these things take a team, each person with their specialized skills or contributions working together for a common goal to accomplish the task.

I don't even know where to start with this comment! The Spanish came here is 1492. There is evidence that the Castile's were here 400 years before that. There is also evidence that Roman Colony's were here before that! Old maps show the American Continent prior to the Roman Colonies. Spain did what every other country has done when they discovered a new world. Look for wealth and land to colonize. When the Mormon Pioneers came to settle in the Utah Valley in 1847 there were Spanish miners mining all over the territory. As late as 1940 reports of Spanish mining families with large pack trains were seen entering and leaving the mountains and valleys. Thousands of old Spanish mines have been found. The Spanish had numerous battles with the Native tribes. I have many Ute friends who can recount the battles between their forefathers and the Spanish seeking wealth from their lands. The last battle that I know of was in 1943. The Spanish absolutely had burros and mules, how do you think the Fathers ran their missions, how did the Atocha and a hundred other treasure galleons laden with billions in gold get the gold to the ships? I have seen Spanish mule shoes and parts of pack saddle from along the Old Spanish Trail. The records in the Spanish archives tell of thousands of mule trains and expeditions all across the West! By the late 1800's most Spanish explores and miners were heavily armed with firearms of the most modern make. The massacre in my historical documentary occurred in the late 1800's. There were no conquering Conquistadores just Spanish gold miners.

I know he would have changed a lot of minds in this term and would have secured the election of whatever conservative he put his weight behind. Instead we have been dragged into ruin by the clowns in office now and also face a possible third world war or worse by the fool Democrat party. Amazing that the people of this country would wreck their own nation because a assertive president hurt their feelings. Its incomprehensible and we may have to pay dearly for decades to come because of childish democrat behavior.

The Utes or Shoshone that ambushed and killed the Spanish on at least two occasions in Rock Creek absolutely knew where they put the gold bullion. Now they still know where the ambush site is because I was shown the locations by a Ute friend, but perhaps there is no one alive today that knows where the gold is hidden. Maybe it has been found and taken? Old Shotnick, Mountain Sheep, Chief Wanrose, Wanzits and others alive not too many years back did know where it was hidden. One account puts it under the present highway, another in a grove of trees not far from the ambush site.

@Michael Michael Actually, being highly aligned with investors in this type of an endeavor is VERY important. Putting relevant cards on the table is the way to ensure that happens. Some people might want to work with a group that has well-defined morals that they don't just make up themselves, in which case these folks seem to fit. Thanks for staying mostly positive in your tone - not a lot of that going around.

    • @koltoncrane3099
      @koltoncrane3099 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Michael talking about yourself and getting investors kind of is like a job interview. When a person talks to a potential employer both the employee and employer seek to see if they have similar views and would fit the culture of the business.
Even Goldman Sachs, Koch, google, Apple etc all have different cultures in their business which defines the work place and interactions. I think it was in the book Drive the author explains a company that would do interviews and try to make sure it was a good fit. But the company also had a policy that if the employee later found out he didn’t fit the culture that the company would
Pay the person a thousand dollars to quite working and find a better job for them.
Even in shark tank it’s easy to see investors don’t invest in people they don’t trust or like or believe.
I think it’s great to be honest. And in all reality if you’re a democrat your party most certainly condemns mining and removing metals from the ground whether it be gold bars or rare earths metals. It’s one reason why China currently supplies 95% of the worlds rare earth metals and why the Congo provides 60% of the worlds cobalt supply. It’s not the US doesn’t have resources rather it’s the political forces that be that hinders or band tons of viable economic deposits. California has the largest rare earth metals open pit mine in the US but we’re shut down and are now open but can’t process it. SUWA and other Democrat leaning institutions made sure to halt the development of a cobalt mine on the colt mesa. There’s only like been four cobalt mines in Utah or that’s found cobalt, but they can’t be opened. It’s much better from a certain political party’s view to import cobalt from China that got it from the Congo where thousands die from pollution and child labor is rampant. Offshoring pollution is the best way to stop pollution in the US.
But then again people do lie about their beliefs. Zuckerberg is an amazing example of this especially if you have watched his Harvard commencement address which is worth the watch. He example his views and how capitalism needs to be restructured to basically become socialism. However he never disclosed to the public that he actually used a GRAT trust to move his Facebook shares when they did an IPO to avoid estate taxes. Even Zuckerberg used a trust to avoid the 40% estate tax he’d face or any civil personal liabilities. Zuckerberg also offshores along with apple, Marriott hotel, google, etc billions of dollars. It was actually trumps tax cut and jobs act that ended offshore tax havens for even wealthy democrats. The act made it so companies are taxed regardless if the money is repatriated or not so billionaires can’t evade taxes for taxes which historically they always do or try. It interesting when ya read how democrats are in a ton of cases just like republicans loving the idea of avoiding taxes etc. except that democrats public face and speeches are the opposite of their actions. It’s way better to invest in someone that’s honest where their actions also match their belief.
