So, I pronounced the studio's name wrong for the entire video... whoops :( Well then, as an apology here's a really cool discord server link! discord.gg/8mjcwTQ
Actually LBP PSP had some really impressive community levels. People really pushed the mechanics. People used illusions to make some fancy ideas, like teleportation, time travel, diorama-based cutscenes... and there was one that let you fly to multiple planets by controlling your ship's location in a cockpit and dropping though a tube system. Because there was no smearing, you had to corner edit to make shapes, and this resulted in people taking care to shape everything nicely, while being sloppier on LBP PS3. Plus LBP PSP had a gorgeous atmosphere that bled into these levels. I think the best are archived so you can probably try them out on an emulator. I've been meaning to for a while.
i miss LBP PSP i also really miss LBP PSP's online with how crazy some of the levels got despite the limitations are amazing + thanks to archives you can play over 2000 community levels on the PSP emulator PPSSPP

At 5:49 GOD hit by a WAVE OF NOSTALGIA seeing a Playstaiton 2 section at the unnamed game store. I remember when they told me, "Yeah we're done selling Playstation 2 games so what you see here is the last of it."
LBP PSP was such an amazing job done by Sony, in cramming the fun of a PS3 IP in a sequal for a handheld, without compromising on (almost) anything, quality wise. . But when I played LBP PS Vita, I was positively blown away! It seemed like _this_ was the console that the LBP series was developed for! Seemless use of touchscreen (front and back), gyroscopic platforming, even the cameras on Vita were put to use for sticker creation! . On Vita, LBP felt right at home.
Their servers are terrible. They may not be up for very long. If I had the money I promise you keeping those servers and this game alive would be in my top priorities
When I was like 7, my dad got me a psp with lbp on it. I had already played the first and second games, and had made some great memories playing them with him and my sister. Every road trip, long car ride, and really any time I was in the car, I was playing little big planet on my psp. I was practically glued to it. Little did I know at the time, i was making nostalgic memories
I just wanna say how incredibly well edited this video is. Its a small touch but when you mentioned “Media Molecule” at 2:49 and the initials popped up on screen was a great moment.
I'm so glad I found a guide to download dlc for the PSP game yesterday. I've never had any dlc for this game and I'm excited to play with it. Plus banana sack
OMG! thank you for making me see sacknanna I've only played the main titles so I didn't see this good boy I low key cried tears of joy when seeing this
My first LBP as well, still has so much nostalgia to me, got it way before I got my PS3. I remember I created a ton of really bad levels on it but there was this thing where if you came back to levels after editing them multiple times objects would start to clip into eachother and they weren't aligned
I appreciate that the PSP game had different locales from the first game so that it can fit into the canon, if you wanted to think of the games as having a canon.
I have a PSP, I always wanted this game as a kid. LBP on PS3 was my first game, and I also have the same PSP to this day. awesome video. Side Note: The song at 5:14 made me think of LBP within 2 seconds of hearing it, and it totally did sound nostalgic.
I'm still in love with this game. I think it's still fun. There are people still making levels, animations, music, etc. I hope this community never dies cause its a great one.
PSP will be always nostalgic to me. Ive got ps3, psp and some other games from my father, which sadly is alcoholic. He bought them from pawnshop. Soon my parents will have divorce. Those things are ones who keep good memories when he was chill and used to play with me and my young brother.
I don't know what it is about this video, but it brought back so much nostalgia from like a year ago when LBP3 was the only game I played. The thing that made me stop playing the game was the servers going down, and I know they just went back up, but I just think it's sad that they had to shut those games down, but who knows, they may come back one day...
Looking forward to you covering the Vita version. It's tied with LBP 2 as my favourite. With the built-in camera and mic, you were able to do some really cool things with create mode.
Considering the PSP is a slighty weaker PS2 is actually very impressing game for the hardware. This is by far the most impressive game in the series alongside 1, and i like how still maintains that "toy like" atmosphere instead of being everything so futuristic.
I remember making a crap ton of characters on this version. I remember making boba fett and even some of my own characters. It was so fun. It’s a similar story with Modnation Racers’ PSP port. It’s theoretically the same game, with the same campaign and being able to create your own mods, karts and tracks. But races have less participants and graphics definitely took a hit. But it’s still a fun game that embodies the spirit of the series
