I cohost a live stream show for the Sacramento Comedy Spot with a friend of mine. Over 4 shows I played Outlast b/c I love horror games, and I'm really sensitive so I scream a lot. The 1st show my cohost and the club owner found out they could scare me pretty much whenever with the most basic "oh my goodness, what is that" moments. So finally on show 4 we get to the end of the game. We're wrapping up, I'm glad it was over. And then another friend of mine (off camera) jumps into the room. I scream so loud, take a deep breath, and then scream louder, that's how scared I was. (I have a very suitable horror film scream.) Turns out they had planned that for weeks! I'm still waiting for a good revenge moment to arise.
Got to be the end of Red Dead Redemption 1, I felt so wounded, and couldn't believe what they did to the main character. For a minute I was trying to think how it can't be real and how has he survived. Lmao.
Meanwhile every civilian in skyrim realizes they have been betrayed and Rob is not the true dragon born but a mass murder pretending to be the dragon born 😱
Rob, Rosie, Dave, Ash, with special appearances of Dan and Nath. A full six set. Or have Hollie and/or Elle join that stream if either Dan and/or Nath cannot participate.
I've never really played the Metal Gear series, and I've heard Rob speak of it for a considerable amount of time now, but I just never get tired of it. So thanks Rob for being so enthusiastic about it, and sharing your enjoyment of it.
NATH LEFT!?!?!? omg I haven’t been keeping up w this channel for a looooooong time. Finally decided to dip my toes back in and binge a couple Friday Checklists (which I guess now have a different name?) and stuff and I come to find out NATH LEFT!?!
It was really sweet tho with all the viewers helping in fall guys kinda like the guys who helped Rob in Bloodborne. Always refreshing to see ppl help each other vs toxic negativity & hatred.
This should have been a 25 minute video with citizens of Skyrim talking discussing how they've been betrayed by the Dragonborn shouting them off cliffs, robbing them blind, and stabbing them in the back! lol
I love Rob's MGS love-ins. Reminds me of happy times in school/college when the latest metal gear game was greatest marriage of film and games ever committed to disk and you'd be absolutely desperate to play it.
That MGS3 moment was right in the feels. Good shout Rob. One of my favourite quotes from The Boss was "What's it going to be? Loyalty to your country, or loyalty to me? Your country, or your old mentor? The mission, or your beliefs?" So powerful! I absolutely love the MGS series.
During a split screen game of CTR between me, my brother & my cousin we were about to start the final race in our cup, my brothers girlfriend came to the door so we paused it, but whilst he was away me & my cousin un-pauses the game, did a lap of the track & lined ourselves up perfectly at the starting line again so he wouldn’t be suspicious.... he didn’t realise what had happened until we were on our final lap & he still had one to go 😂 made him lose the entire cup
@@LorenzoPierleoni TWICE!! They made you their 'patsy', or sacrificial lamb TWICE! If you get eliminated as a Personoid, but the remaining Personoid won, the sacrificial lamb deserves more points!!
Solas. I played Inquisition blind, not knowing anything (I'd played DAO and DA2) I had an elven rogue Inqy and the moment Solas opened his mouth, I was done for. He became the most fascinating, most eloquently well-spoken, most intelligent character to me and I had him on my team for the entire game and also romanced him.... Only for the ending to happen. Then Trespasser happened and even though I was still hurt and had been bigly betrayed, I don't believe he is evil and if given the chance in DA4, will do my best to redeem him. But yes, that was my biggest video game betrayal.
My reaction to that was more oooooh sneaky than feeling outright betrayed. I was all about Cullen romance-wise so on my second playthrough I decided to play as an elf to romance Solas instead and see if anything was different. Doing that knowing he was going to betray me made it all the more bittersweet and I think it might make for a cracker of a storyline in DA4 but I didn't get the full sting of betrayal. I did with Anders though. I only romanced him because of his resemblance to Alistair and seeing what he did and then having to decide whether or not to kill him had me swithering for ages. Any time I played after that I played as a mage healer myself so I didn't have to use him and wouldn't feel bad about killing him.
The world is fine. It's the people on it that are creating the problems. They also have the power to change things. The world doesn't have a true self in that regard, only what we make of it.
Doc Ock in Insomniac’s Spider Man Keep in mind, I saw the Rami films, read the comics, I had a pretty good idea of what would happen when I heard the name Otto Octavius. And yet, despite all that, the game got me to like him, understand why he’s doing what he’s doing and solve all the tech puzzles. So when he does finally don the tentacles and goggles, it’s like, “My god. He’s gone full villain and *I* helped him do it!”
I really really really *really* hope that the friend who sent the cat picture with the article about RDR2 was Jules. Because as far as I know, Jules is the only presenter who has cats that he loves to show off.
How wild is it that Snake Eater was a PS2 game it still looks great. Nathan Snake was the best actually just clicked that it's also a play on Nathan Drake...great editing on this one. I appreciate you folks. big time.
Rosie is scary and most people won't see that until they see Rosie rage (which you don't see that often).....but I loved watching that stream live and on VOD.
Have to say, as MGS3 is not only my personal favourite game of all time, it's one of my favourite stories of all time also and I think Rob perfectly summed up my feelings as to why. The betrayal
19:06 elsewhere Dave felt a chill rush down his spine and a sense of dread entered his heart. For in that very moment Ash found out what to do for next Halloween.
I’m not sure that the Nathan Snake betrayal will ever be topped. Genuine jaw drop moment watching that! I’m sure initially Nath was disappointed that being locked out of the Uncharted 3 plat meant he couldn’t overtake Rosie. But I think there’s something equally as deliciously petty with drawing level on plats. Not overtaking her…but simply stopping her from being ahead. Lovely.
The biggest betrayal has happened here! The Tuesday checklist actually came out on a Tuesday?? I am disappointed 😂. Love you guys, you keep me moderately sane 😁.
I don't get betrayed in my games very often... and then I played Final Fantasy IV. Like, sheesh, Square... Kain will stay with me forever because I just couldn't even go 'yeah, right' at his turn-coating before he had even gotten warmed up.
Nathan was also betrayed by the universe when he planned for 6 months and still couldn't beat Rosie. Rosie is like the real life Demon of Hatred. Except even when you cheese her she still wins 😂
I really hoped Riv was going to bring up Ash betraying him against Amygdala in the chalice dungeon before going into his proper entry. Maybe the wound is still too fresh…
TH-cam burnt me on Arthur, it was like "I see you've looked at "Before You Buy for Red Dead Redemption 2," so you'd probably be interested in ARTHUR FINDING OUT HE HAS TUBURCULOSIS!" And it's not like I was late to the party, this was days after release.
My worst betrayal was my little brother. He cut the power to our PS3 while my character was loading in the first borderlands game. Initially i thought it would be fine when i saw he was still playable only to find out all my guns were gone and replaced by the very first guns you get but i was still max level
I had the same sort of thing as Ash except it was a TH-cam video with the thumbnail and title explicitly saying what was going to happen. Totally ruined the reveal for me 😭
Maybe this is just me rationalising but I was aware of the big twist in RDR2 before I even started playing the game, and I would argue that doing so is almost as good as having no idea whatsoever. There was a sense of dread, a tension that hung over every action as I waited and waited and hoped it wouldn't happen. When it did happen I wasn't surprised, of course, but I was still very sad.
Rob you should've bought up the time you were fighting Amygdala and Ash stopped fighting leaving you with only one hit left before the Amygdala stomped you.
Knew it Rob would put in MGS :) I don’t blame him. I was so shocked as a 12 year old when that happened. The words going through my mind was “why did his mother throw him off the bridge?!” Lmao I didn’t understand jack back then..but yes..I cried like a baby at the end. That part I understood lol
Now that you know a few of ours, what is a video game betrayal that YOU are still not over? It still stings! Oh, and try to avoid spoilers please.
“Would you kindly” need I say more?
