Love the hat. You must have a great older sibling. Appreciate the reminder that goals are always important. Here is to a great 2025! I hope you attain all your goals but more importantly enjoy the road to achieving them.
I have the best siblings in the world! You’re right about enjoying “the road to achieving them”. Let's make 2025 goals happen!
Didn't do but one moto camping trip in 2024, and it was only a 717 miles total distance, at that. Have a number of trips been thinking about, such as one to Spokane to visit a friend, which would be from my base in Sacramento, CA, camping out along the way with all of these possible trips. Then a trip down to Arizona and to Las Vegas to visit with friends in these places, plus a trip out to the South Park area of Colorado at some point. However, the main trip I am planning for now is to do the Sturgis Event.
Not sure how to go with Sturgis, as I don't fancy being around hundreds of thousands. If I want crowds I can always visit my old stomping grounds in the LA area where I was born. Even so, the area around Sturgis looks to be really a good one to explore, and I might as well experience this place for the first time in my riding existence for whatever this might be worth.
At least there is the interesting "challenge" of getting there and back riding my old 1983 Honda XL600R for about 3000 miles total. Been thinking of going about 2 weeks EARLY to limit the crowds but yet enjoy many of the sights and the entertaining features. Yet, maybe too many others think this same way -- as so happens to me when I think I am being halfway clever to do something "different" and then I find out that most everyone and his half-sister is already acting in s similar fashion.
Thus, I need to do some research on the options available for enjoying the Sturgis event without having to suffer major crowding conditions -- which is perhaps something of an excessive contradiction.
@@gedgetips Getting out on the bike is always an accomplishment, no matter how many miles you do. I’m sure you will make the most of your trips in 2025!
Sounds like good plans Annick. I pushed my 'dream life' back, continuing to work a good paying job in hopes retirement would include financial freedom. Goal accomplished! I retire in February 2025. First goal is a one year vacation for me and my new buddy (a Wheaton Terrier - Mia). Having lost most of my family and wife, I really need this. I'm keeping my home (cause it's paid for!) as a base. Been working the past 2 years filling my little garage with options (4 bikes and a trailer). 😇 Got an SUV for camping and weather challenges. And I'm looking forward to meeting many of you on the great roads of America! I know this is the last chapter of my life. Be it two years, ten, or twenty, I'm going to live it responsibly, giving to people at every opportunity. See ya 'out there'.
What a great story! You have a lot to look forward to, and I hope you and Mia enjoy every minute of it!
Love the hat! 2025! Let's do this!
Yaaaaassssss! (and thank you!)
@AnnickMagac 🤩💛
My motorcycling goals for 2025 are to ride some of my favorite rides in reverse, find better eating holes along my rides, and ride the Cherohala Skyway, but my two Great Danes keep me anchored close to home.
Sounds like some great goals for the year!

Where?!!! LOL
So many things I want to accomplish with the MSF Course being one of them.
It's the best place to start! I love the MSF classes.
Retired and moved to Arizona a year ago my goal is to keep exploring this state and parts of New Mexico.
Those are some areas I would love to ride. Have fun!
BINGO❗️My goal!, 951 days to go!!!👍
I love your channel and you're brutally honest! If you ever have any questions about NE Pennsylvania (NEPA), ask away. I'm excited to see what you get for a bike and your upcoming videos.
Thank you for the kind words and offer. I will definitely reach out when exploring that area! Which is incredibly beautiful, BTW.
Can't say anything real specific, but riding more and as often as I can. I do know that when Spring break hits, I'll be pointing my bike in a direction and seeing where I end up.
Sounds like you’ve got the right idea. Let me know where you end up.
A goal for me more mileage other than to and from work. My son and I will be attending Daytona this year, post up if you will be. Would be great to stop and say hi. I dig the hat! Keep the shinny side up and rubber side down:)
Definitely keeping that rubber side down! Let’s get those miles in! I’ll let you all know if I make it to Daytona. It’s been years since I was there.
Pretty cool topic for sure.
Couple goals on my end for this year:
- I'd like to sell my BMW R100 and replace it with something different. Possibly Kawasaki W800.
- Put more miles on my Vstrom 650. Or possibly replace it with Triumph Tiger 900 GT?
I'd definitely like to try some new things in life/motorcycling this year, starting with opening up my mind to new things.
Sounds like a great plan - new things are always exciting!
You look great with the hat! I like hats and don't leave the house without one. I'm partial to those newsboy style hats. I've occasionally tried to put my helmet on over the hat. Doesn't work. :)
My goals for this year are to ride more (last year I only rode 2777.5 miles with about half of those on one trip) and pare down the collection to a more manageable number. Yes, you can have too many at one time. 15 currently, 3 or 4 of which I hardly ever ride.
Thanks! I love that you added the .5 on the miles. LMAO There definitely is a balance to owning and being able to take of & ride. Here's to more miles in '25!
Happy New year, sounds great lets ride ,The crew from Geist Wulf Cycles
Happy New Year to you as well! Let's do it!
G’day, I’ll get my RE licence this year and I want to build up to doing longer trips. I’m aiming to get to FNQ by November.
Wooohooo! That's fantastic. Much luck to you!
My goal this year is to make a decision about my Africa Twin (how's that for a wishy-washy commitment to taking action?). I'm trying to take the lessons I learned from when I was a pilot/airplaner owner-operator, and not repeat those mistakes in motorcycling. Particularly the temptation to "upgrade" the bikes. This leads to poverty and frustration in aviation and I'm seeing the same thing in motorcycling also. With my Africa Twin (an impulse buy at an offer I couldn't refuse), it's an absolutely superb bike but it has one minor and one major problem: the minor one is tubed tires, the major one is uncurable buffeting/turbulence around the helmet. The roar in the helmet at speeds over about 45mph just makes it impossible to enjoy the bike on longer rides that require highway speeds.
So, everything I face about it are downsides: selling it outright, I lose my rear end. Trading it for something else, I lose even more of my rear end. Trying to fix the buffeting I've already tried and have lost a pile of cash on that too. And I lose an otherwise fantastic machine for something inferior no matter what I replace it with. The goldwing option would mostly fix it, but that's going in the "upgrade" direction, which I already know is a dead end.
So that's my dilemma for 2025. All the options are distasteful, so I have pick the least bad one. Hopefully I manage to resolve this this year!
It’s a tough choice, but good luck with whatever you decide!
@@AnnickMagac For what it's worth, I'm having small early success with low-or-zero-dollar experiments with wind noise. Basically a kind of skirt that velcros to my helmet that blocks air from getting into the underneath. But that's ongoing and there's still the risk of failure, so... :)
You're doing these videos on a phone? That's awesome. Just shows you don't need expensive equipment to get started
Thanks for the support! You are right, that's my iPhone! You can do a lot, with a little. 😄
EV motorcycle meet-ups in Indy, Cincinnati. Organizing and making it happen.
That's AWESOME! Good luck!
Lots of riding fail last year, so my goal this year is less fail. I want to say AK is on the list, but that’s gonna take a life change that I’m not sure will happen, but could. So 2025 plan is less fail, with aspirations of AK.
I support that! Less fail and let's get to Alaska!
I think you’d really enjoy a Kawasaki Ninja 400. I have a friend who’s done some touring on hers. The position is very neutral and not extreme at all. I think there’s some luggage options as well.
I’ve heard great things about that bike! 💚
@ now that it’s been replaced by the Ninja 500, you should be able to get a good deal on the 400. I’ve ridden a 400 and it’s a great forever bike, or at least for as long as you want to keep it motorcycle.
I've been filming all of my TH-cam content on my iPhone as well. It still blows my mind that 2000+ people like my videos enough to subscribe.. lol. My goal for 2025 is to reach 4000 subs and to consistently release 1 video per week. I did finally get myself a Insta360 camera.. and I'm excited to get out on the bike with it in the spring.
I hope you achieve your goals for 2025 - consistency is key! You got this! 🙌🏻
EICMA in Europe is the big motorcycle event to make a presentation.
You're right about that. I'm really going to have to get Féroce going to be able to make that happen! :)
1) finish my project bike 2) ride it
Nice! Winter is the perfect time to work on it. ☃️
I honestly don't set goals, I like going with the flow and whatever dumbfuckerry inspires me at the moment. I find that is better than stressing to meet goals or missing them
I get that. Most people see the goals as stress points if they don't reach them. I just use them as North stars. Point me in the right direction and GO!
If you would like to make an interview with someone who made a 480page motorcycle encyclopedia, we can make it happen 😀
I'm assuming YOU wrote that book? Send a link!
@AnnickMagac I don't think it lets me post links here. I sent you an email
@ I’ll look for it 👀
Happy New Year!
I encourage you to look at the lineup from Moto Guzzi as you shop for your new motorcycle.
I’d also like to invite you to spend a day riding with me (spring/summer 2025) as your guide to explore a great motorcycling trip (in Virginia) which includes a portion of the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway.
I'll definitely look into the line-up! Great suggestion. I’ll let you all know if I make into the VA area.
Annick,
Too help with your flexibility and mobility consider trying Baxyl Hyaluronic Acid. It’s tasteless and provides other benefits too.
My chiropractor recommended it, and it’s has helped.

Happy New Year Annick! The Quality of your Content is very good, yet it seems that the Yoootooob Algorithm has not favored your channel. I get overwhelmed with suggestions every day for A.I. Generated channels that often have fake content I can't stand A.I. Content.
I wanted to ride from Michigan to Alaska to visit my Uncle, but he passed away from Prostrate Cancer. He won Marathons before was an avid snowshoer and Mountain Biker for years. He was a Surveyor on the AK Pipeline and many other projects. I still would like to ride to AK and do need to purchase an adventure bike first. Jocylin Snow Rides a BMW 1200 and she is 5'1"
I did my first Track day last summer after being up 24 hours straight before hand trying to get my pickup camper mounted to my Truck that I have put 20,000 miles on in 10 years. I have some other cars too.
I would like to ride out to CO and ride the Million Dollar Highway and ride the Silverton to Durango Steam Train. I have been aware of some of these places thanks to the CW McCall songs. I was a Skibum for 3 Winters in CO & UT I did extreme skiing and competed in Mogul contests. I figured Mogul Skiing was less dangerous than Motocross. I hope to ride my snowmobiles this winter. No speed limits on the snowmobile trails for the most part.

Thanks for the feedback. You have some great goals lined up! Yes, Jocelin Snow... I hope to interview her.
@@AnnickMagac I have never been flexible, I do some stretching. I have read that Gelatin is made from boiled down ligaments.
So eating Jello could be good for your tendons and flexibility. I thought that you were a fast Super Moto Rider? I just researched Gelatine and Wikki says it does not help you build your tendons.
@@AnnickMagac What do you think about lane splitting? I have experimented in Michigan and people go into full road rage. In California and much of Europe they will leave extra room between the right and left lane in one direction:

@ I’m all for it. I wish more places would make it legal.
