    I'm at the stage of life where I can afford pretty much any bike I want. I've had Ducatis, Harleys, Guzzis, Suzuki sport bikes and a smattering of others. My current bike? '23 KLR 😝
    I love the simplicity, versatility, low cost to own and maintain. At 60, I'm done with dragging knees on mountain roads and trying to impress people.
    Slowing down and enjoying the ride from now on.
    I'm happy.

      Agreed. No longer impressed by the emphasis on technology and performance. I like to ride and see the world, so the GS1250 and H2 SX SE have gone and replaced by a Suzuki GSX1250FA. Smooth, simple, monster torque and devoid of superfluous technology. Cheap as chips, so if it breaks (they don't) just get another one.

      100% right here☝🤘. I'm only half the age but while my first bikes were a 13 fat boy and 14 ultra limited, I couldn't stand the price and cost of maintenance with them so I moved to a 23 KLR and a 18 honda DCT (for days my arthritis is kicking my ace) 6 years later and I have had absolutely NO regrets to this day! Keep on riding and safe travels 🤘.

    Wages are not keeping up with the Price of these Bikes. Same with Cars, especially Trucks, where 45K - 50K is is the average Price. It's more of a combinatrion of stagnant wages and the Vehicle Companies Ripping You off.

      Actually, wages are keeping up with "inflation" overall www.brookings.edu/articles/has-pay-kept-up-with-inflation/ The bigger problem is that the motorcycle market is not really growing. www.motorcyclesdata.com/2024/11/01/united-states-motorcycles-market/ , and manufacturers are competing with one of the largest used motorcycle inventories in history (50,000 used motorcycles on the market as of this writing). No brand faces more headwinds for used bikes than Harley Davidson, where you can get a late model, low mileage cruiser for half the price of a new one, and since the pace of innovation at HD is very slow, you aren't really missing anything over a new Harley. I think many of the bikes that are not selling are simply the desperation of marketing to try to put out bikes that they think have some appeal and are unique enough not to be competing with used bikes, but mostly they are just ugly, overpriced beasts. Ducati will likely sell every Paginale V2 it makes, so it isn't the price that is keeping people away.

    • @macroevolve
      @macroevolve 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@shenmisheshou7002 I don't disagree, but it's also the fact, that these smaller companies charge insane Prices for a Cruiser or "Niche" Bike. A top of the line Honda Gold Wing in 33K - the Harley Touring Bike (Road Glide) is about the same. The Honda is a better deal imo, since it has all the bells and whistles, and an Air Bag....too expensive in any case - at the end of the day, it's still kust a Motorcycle.

      I was getting that feeling too. But it was interesting looking at the bikes. I thought the Moto Guzzi looked pretty appealing, actually. I think what's hurting new bike sales is that a lot of folks are retiring from riding altogether and putting their bikes on the used market. I bought a mint 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with 20K mules on it for $11,000 back in June '24. There's not enough appealing features on a new model to warrant the price difference. The thing has been loads of fun and has been both cheap to run and own. Think any bike I’d be looking at today would have to be simple to live with would have to be fun, practical and run on petrol. It is true! I bought a used Moto Guzzi for $2500. The new ones only offer a unrealistic price. They have done it to themselves. Where can a young person buy an inexpensive motorcycle to learn on? Royal Enfield is more reasonable.....Times are tight and most folks consider motorcycles optional. The folks that ride motorcycles every single day are few and far between. Every manufacturer needs a motorcycle that can go 50mph for under 3,000 and another that will do 100mph for 5,000. The inexpensive one to learn on and trot around town and the faster one for highway speeds and that trip on a motorcycle you always knew you wanted to take.

Not too many folks with a family cant afford any of these overpriced bikes. The manufacturers have their heads in the can, they wish to please the stockholder than the customer. Keep this thought going they will go out of business. The cost to produce these bikes hasn’t changed it’s the CEOs that gets the big bucks for being stupid and losing potential buyers due to the greed of these companies. It’s much cheaper to produce an all blacked out bike than having some chrome and custom paint. The greed of these manufacturers will charge more for the all blacked out look. It’s a total turn off for the buyer to fully understand how they are getting screwed over and sales are in the toilet and models are collecting dust. Some dealers have 2022s still on the sales floor with over priced tickets above the MSRP due to the greed of these dealers. Customers are giving the middle finger to all bike manufacturers and dealers They need to come back to reality or go out of business.

      I think it is desperation. The new motorcycle market in the US is more or less flat, and the biggest competition is the used motorcycle market, which it Harley Davidson's primary competitor. I think that some of these new bikes are simply last ditch marketing efforts to try to boost the brand and not be in competition with the used market because the used market doesn't have anything as hideous.

      Ducati will likely sell every Panigale V2 it makes in 2025. That means price is not the issue. Also, HD is competing more with the used market than with other brands. Why buy a new HD when you can buy a 6 or 7 year old low mileage used one in pristine condition for half the price? There are 50,000 used bikes on the market at any given time these days. The reality is that the motorcycle market in the US is more or less flat, and there is no growth. Motorcycle riding is not nearly as popular with younger consumers than it was 25 years ago. The fact that the population is growing and motorcycle sales are not simply says that people either don't want to ride motorcycles, or there are simply not motorcycles that appeal to them enough get people to feel that they need one. The only bike on the market today that I would consider buying is the Panigale V2. Most others simply don't appeal to me. Many are overstyled (which is a nice way of saying ugly) or put in a price point that is simply not something that people are willing to spend on what is essentially a luxury purchase.

    The fact that half these bikes cost as much as a new car is most of the reason they don't sell. In what's considered the golden age of motorcycles they were cheap and affordable. They've also overcomplicated the designs in an effort to prevent people from repairing them and keep up with ever tightening emissions standards. Quality has fallen off a cliff as well. Harley can barely keep their oil contained within the engine in the current day. I find more bikes from the last 20 years in junkyards than the previous 60. Mainly they're junked for hard to fix electrical problems and exceedingly expensive repairs for what should be simple fixes. Pretty much the same problems as the auto industry.

    I really like the H-D Livewire...but in its current offering it still is not ready for prime-time imo. It has plenty of power. The range is way too short and to be close to practical it must have fast charge capability...all at a reasonable price. If these three "challenges" were corrected, I would consider it for sure. Range, how about 250 miles max so an everyday range @ 80% would be 200. Then you could max charge for those longer rides and still maintain good battery life.

You ask your AI tool to write you a speech on some topic and within minutes, you have your script for the video. Now, you ask AI to give you a bunch of pictures and videos related to the subject of the paper and now you have the video content (note that they almost always use still pictures or short clips).
