Danny Carey was playing 3/8 with his right hand, triplets with his left hand while matching the 4/4 of the bass guitar with the right kick and HH on the left foot. And it's incredible to hear the 3/8 come around to line up with the 4/4 at different points every few measures. The band is pure magic.

I’m happy that he’s comfortable with his marriage to say that maybe she’ll get a pearl necklace since they can’t fool around. Too funny, and so true. Sometimes ya just gotta do something as nasty as what you just felt. He was into that and it riled him up. While his son was so happy being in his dads warm arms. Favorite video of his to date.

10:30 Danny actually uses a remote/"cable" hi-hat stand. He's operating the pedal with his left foot, but it's separated from the rest of the hi-hat stand, which he positioned between his bass drums.
At this part, he's playing (very light) quarter notes on the bass drum, as well as with the hi-hat. From what I've seen, when he's keeping a consistent pulse on the hi-hat like this, I _believe_ he utilizes a sort of back-and-forth rocking motion (toe to heel) with his left foot; that's why you don't see him moving his left leg very much here--because he's primarily just using his foot.

GOAT army sentiment: Listening yesterday, I noticed how much tone Danny gets from his snare. he must use a pretty deep snare drum to give him the low body & he hits so hard and consistently that he gets high cracking tone too (not just turning it on and off frequently). I think most drummers would use a more shallow drum to "cut" but this man is just so wise and powerful 🤘😁
